Chapter 5

Axel POV

As Axel woke up, he was shocked that his wolf had actually listened to him for once and made him end up on the bed and back home. Usually he always woke up naked in the forest!

The perks of having all your staff be werewolves too was that if your wolf arrived by the gate they would open to let you in. All the doors also had extra wolf sized hatches for his wolf to pass through in too!

However Axel wondered what was making his wolf so happy. But then he looked down as his stomach rumbled from hunger.

“The heck Damon, did you not hunt last night? If not what the hell did you spent all night doing?” Axel grumbled as he got off the huge expensive bed to go see if his personal chef had made something. He had made sure that forest had all kinds of wildlife for his wolf to fill that ravenous appetite of his.

However he ended up almost tripping on a packet of freaking meat! Luckily he did not totally fall because of using his quick reflexes. He picked up the packet of packaged raw meat, wondering what the hell Sam`s meat was doing in the middle of his bedroom.

And he had not ordered any this week!

Because of his love for meat being a werewolf, his third in command Sam decided to create a butchery business. And it was working for him as he provided meat to werewolf rogues all over the city who did not feel like hunting.

Taking the packet to the kitchen, Axel wondered if this was his wolf`s way of saying that he wanted Sam`s meat. Was his wolf becoming lazy to hunt? Nah.

Placing the meat in the fridge he headed to go sit by one of the chairs to eat his breakfast. He had another long day today of work. While also trying to handle his wolf whose eagerness to shift again, he could feel from the back of his head.

Selena`s POV

“Oh Anna! Thank you thank you thank you!” I could not contain my excitement as I hugged the lights out of my bestfriend.

“If it was not so far from where I work, I would have come to live with you too,” Anna replied with a wishful sigh while thinking of the place I was now living at.

“Well feel free to come anytime, there is lots of space!” I quickly told her. But somehow I forgo to tell her about my companion,

I had woken up in the morning and ran outside to check on him and was disappointed to find him already gone.

Even now, part of me hoped that he would come back.

After hugging Anna again and collecting everything of mine, the left over clothes and bags. Just as I was about to leave, Anna`s roommate, Diana also arrived.

“Hey Anna,” She quickly greeted me as I greeted her back. She too was just as nice as Anna.

I was lucky to meet them both.

“Anna told me yesterday that you were searching for a Job,” She quickly started,

I was about to tell I now had one, but I let her continue,

“A friend of a friend said that there is a club called hiring. They pay a lot too. Buts it night shift,” Diana quickly said to me,

As soon as I heard night shift I was already in.

I wanted to quickly raise money so that I could continue my degree study which I paused to follow that douchebag.

Double shifts I would definitely be up to doing.

Part of me wanted to go back home not as a screw up. At least if my father would see that I had made something of myself then maybe he would not be so disappointed of me for running away like that.

“Thanks Diana!” I replied and she told she would get the address and text me this coming week.

I first went home, left all my things and would pack them later. Then I headed for work.

“Hello Boss,” I greeted Sam after entering the butchery,

“Sup Selena, so today we got a huge order and my delivery guy is already swamped. So could you deliver this for me.” Sam quickly said to me, pointing to the packages of meat.

“Sure boss!” I replied as he handed me keys to his other car. Luckily I had passed my driver`s license back home. Even though my father never wanted me to get a car, he still wanted me to learn all the skills. Some of them where a bit out there, a smile formed on my face as I recalled him teaching me how to use a bow and arrow, archery. How to throw a dagger and hit the mark to gun lessons. He had trained me everything from young age. With some of the training sessions being a bit too intense for young me who preferred to go out and play with the chickens or whatever kids liked to do.

“So how come there is only one address,” I asked with wide eyes, having expected to deliver all that meat to many places.

Because it was a lot of meat, enough to feed a church.

“Two words, rich people,” Sam first said playfully,

“Just kidding but yes he is rich, but is also my friend and he loves eating just as me.” Sam replied with another playful wink.

Shaking my head at him, I then started the hard job of packing the meat into the car, with Sam coming to help here and there when he was not tending to customers.

Once done, I used the car`s gps to follow the way to the address.

All I could say was wow!

I arrived at this huge gates, but my eyes where stuck on the huge giant mansion behind them with a long drive through.

I was this place cost gazillions.

To think there were actually people with this much money, my little country brain could not comprehend.

I did not even have to ask for access as the gates immediately opened. They must have only just seen the butcher`s logo.

After parking the car, a man dressed in chef clothes quickly came to greet me.

I liked his Italian accent.

“Hello mademoiselle, thank Sam for me for making this delivery come earlier. I want to make delicious food for his highness tonight,” The chef spoke while coming to hug me in cheery happiness.

But my eyes widened at hearing ‘his highness’ did a royal person live here? I wondered.

But it was none of my business, so I waited as the chef instructed some of the workers there to help carry the meat packages away.

Once done, they paid and signed then I was on my way.
