He didn't hear her footsteps. She wasn't moving in there.
"Damn it!" He growled as he ran to his study to grab the keys to her room. His heart was pounding in his head and he was losing his sh*t.
He stopped with a screeching of his foot on the wooden floor that made him slightly slip forward. He abruptly placed the key in the hole and fumbled before it finally unlocked.
He slammed the door open with such force that it literally was about to come out of its hinges as it slammed on the other side of the wall with such force she was sure there might be a dent in the wall.
