It was once believed that a pure breed Lycan King would mate with a Light Oracle from the planet of Morzovia, and a Blessed One will be born. She will have enough energy on the tip of her finger to destroy the world, and if she incessantly uses it before the age of twenty-one, she will die a slow, agonising death.
Unless she meets her fated mate...

A howl resounded across the air, shattering the prevailing calm.
Mira woke up, gasping for air as she clawed at her throat before a heart-wrenching scream was torn from her lips. The air grew sickeningly thin around her and she knew deep down in the branches of her heart that something wasn't right.
She felt a shift of energy surge through her thrumming veins and she could see a bright light rippling in the red-tinged sky through the hole in the tent she shared with her father.
She sat upright, sucking in sharp breaths as she rapidly pulled the fur covers off her trembling body. With her hand still around the base of her throat, she staggered outside of the tent with the hopes of finding her father sitting by the campfire they had going every night.
Her steps faltered when she realized there was no campfire and her father was nowhere to be seen.
But she did notice the strong aroma of blood that was contaminating the fresh air as it drifted through the breeze, making her sick to her stomach.
"Papa..." She called out into the still night. "Papa, where are you?!" She called again, and that time her voice shook with uncertainty.
She held her breath as she could sense that she wasn't alone. "Whatever you're looking for, I can promise you that you will not find it here!" She cried out as she bent down, and picked up a large stick.
The sound of rustling leaves and bristling branches became louder by the second until she was greeted by two big werewolves with brown fur and streaks of white slashed across their backs.
She took two steps back. The urge to keep the distance between herself and the wolves was strong until her back was pressed against the flimsy tent.
At which point her heartbeat became so loud that it drowned out everything around her.
She swallowed thickly as she watched the Corbette twins shift into their human form as they walked between the towering trees. As the moonlit their path, they appeared naked and dangerously seductive.
Fear.
Real fear like she's never felt before engulfed her, causing her to panic, and she tossed the stick to the ground. Then she held both of her hands out by her sides with her palms facing upward.
Though she fully understood the consequences of using her source of energy before her twenty-first birthday. She was prepared to set everything in front of her ablaze.
She was frightened, alone, and she was best known as the rogue that occupied the small patch of grass across the river on the east side.
Where everything perishes for some unknown cause.
"Calm down little one," Tober growled with a shake of his head.
"What do you want? You are breaking the treaty by crossing the river."
"We come in peace." Jagger chuckled, holding his hand's mid-air.
"That still doesn't explain what you are doing here?"
"I told our mother it would have been wiser for her to come herself," Tober hissed looking sideways at Jagger.
"It's your father Mira." Jagger swallowed, gauging her reaction the moment he mentioned her beloved father.
"Wh-what about my father?"
Jagger took another cautious step toward Mira so as not to startle her even more. "You need to come with us," He said as he held out his hand, gesturing for her to take it.
But, Mira didn't.
She felt like shouldn't and because of that feeling, she just stared at his hand with a blank expression smeared across her beautiful features
"Mira, time is of the essence if you want to see your father before he is burned." Jagger continued.
"Bu-burned? Why will he be-"
"It is being carried out by his request. Before you were both granted access to this side of the woods, your father asked for his body to be burned. Something about him wanting to be one with the wind..." Tober interjected in a tiresome tone.
He was the grumpy, impatient twin out of the two. Whereas Jagger, was more of a gentle soul and she could see why most of the girls in the pack fell head over heels for him.
She placed her hand in Jaggers, and he led her toward the set of trees he and Tober had just exited. "I'm going to shift." He felt the need to inform her when he came to a standstill. "I want you to get on my back, wrap your arms around my neck, and keep your head down. Can you do that for me?" He asked as he let go of her hand and took three steps back from her.
"Ofcourse she can, Jagger. She's fucking twenty, not ten, and she has seen us shift before." Tober growled impatiently as he looked back at Mira with a look of animosity gleaming in his eyes.
"Fuck up, Tober! Have a fucking heart will you?!" Jagger snarled. "Her dad just died... A Lycan King has fallen on our territory."
"Fine, suit yourself! How can you expect me to have a heart for an inbred rogue?! Sometimes you need to stop wearing your heart on your sleeve because that's what's going to get you killed brother. I'm outta here." Tober growled, hating that his twin brother was forever civil and that they were two completely different characters that came from the same womb.
It made no sense to him, and he gave up trying to make sense of it a long time ago for it would drive him bonkers.
He began running and he leapt off the ground, shifting into his wolf while he flew through the air, and by the time his paws hit the ground, there wasn't a trace of his human form to be seen.
He looked over his shoulder, baring his sharp teeth with a snarl, and he took off running through the woods, leaving them both behind.
Mira looked back at Jagger as he shook his head while he shifted his gaze to meet hers. "I'm sorry about Tober. He has no filter nor does he care for anyone other than himself... Are you ready?"
Mira nodded her head, "Yes..."
With wide eyes, she stood rooted on the spot as she watched Jagger effortlessly shift. It was beautiful and disturbing at the same time. She could only imagine how uncomfortable it must be for him to go through the transformation and wondered if it got any easier the more times he shifted.
Jaggers' wolf, Hunter lowered his head to the ground, waiting for Mira to jump on his back, and the moment he felt her arms wrap around his neck, he took off running through the woods.
Mira did as Jagger asked of her, she lowered her head and closed her eyes at the same time.
For she didn't need to see how fast they were going, she could tell by how cold the breeze was against her bare face.
As Hunter came to halt, Mira raised her head, opening her honey brown eyes and she was greeted by the council of the Midnight Pack as they surrounded her father's deceased body.
She jumped off Hunter's back and ran straight to her father as tears glazed in her tired eyes.
"Papa!!!" She cried out as she threw her grief-stricken body over her fathers. "Papa, please.." She sniffled, "Please... Get up. You can't leave me, not like this..."
Jagger's mother, Siren, stepped forward with glassy eyes as she watched Mira cry for her dead father. "I'm sorry child, but your father is gone and there is nothing we can do." She informed her as she laid a gentle hand on Mira's shoulder.
"I can try." Mira cried as she cocked her head back, meeting Siren's gaze, "If you'll just allow me to feed off your energy, I can-"
Siren's pulse spiked, and an abrupt snarl departed from her lips, "It is unsafe for you to draw on your source of energy right now. Your father made it very clear that your body is not prepared for the aftermath. It isn't safe for you or the pack, I'm sorry, but-"
Mira was quick to pull away from her father and out of Siren's touch. Rage consumed her entire body and her gentle soul was screaming for revenge.
She stared at her father's body, her eyes took in every inch of him, trying to find the cause of his death with tears spilling from her tear ducts like a cascading waterfall.
"His heart... Where is his heart?!" She abruptly stood up and shrieked with surprise.
How could someone be so savagely brutal and steal a man's heart? She thought to herself as she could not comprehend what the use of the dead organ could be to someone or something.
"We don't know. Beta Angel stumbled upon your father as he was out guarding the outskirts of the woods."
Mira's gaze darted from one pair of eyes to another. Then she glared at everyone who was on the council that stood around the circle as she patiently waited for someone else to offer her an explanation.
Who was she kidding? She couldn't trust anyone in the council. The only person she did trust with her life was presently laying in front of her, dead.
Regardless, she couldn't take Sirens' reply for an answer. There had to be a proper explanation and no one was talking. Irritation pricked her skin and her eyes shone brightly with amber rings.
Gasps swept through the air, "Your eyes, Mira." Jagger croaked out. He had returned to the circle fully clothed, and for the life of him, he could not tear his gaze away from her. "They... They're glowing." He looked on with shock.
"You need to leave..." Siren's voice trembled as she stepped away from Mira with a trembling hand covering her mouth. "Now, you need to leave NOW!!!" She ordered with unshed tears glistening in her eyes.
"Save your tears for another day, lady Siren. For I will find out who did this to my father and there will be hell to pay!" Mira sneered, setting her father on fire with her own bare hands, and as a consequence to her drawing out her source energy...
The blood that was thrumming through her veins felt like it was blistering through her burning flesh.
She swallowed that pain, feeding off it as it was the only sensation that was keeping her from setting the Midnight pack on fire too.
THE NEXT NIGHT... What should have been a straightforward retrieval mission quickly went awry, much to Mira's surprise. As the daunting sounds of vicious sounds of snarling, teeth snapping and paws hitting the ground in a violent beat suffused the air. It urged Mira to keep running as fast as her legs would carry her without the desire to look over her shoulder. She knew it was a bad idea to sneak back over the river after the Corbette twins had escorted her off their territory last night. But she had to return and collect the ruby pendant her mother had left behind before she had been forced to return to Morzovia, after giving birth to Mira. It was the only sentiment she had of her mother and now, her father, for he always wore it around his neck before he went hunting. And she still can not comprehend why her father did not wear the pendant last night. He always wore it without fail. As they both knew the pendant had a protection cloak placed inside the ruby stone. It was he
Mira set out racing through the woods, dodging trees and leaping over jutting roots, while fervently hoping that Alpha Bastion wasn't chasing after her. The wind was cold against her bare face as it mercilessly swept through the atmosphere. The suffocating air smelt like burnt grass, and death. It was potent, and it stung the back of her throat thanks to her heightened senses from the Lycan blood that was coursing through her veins. Too afraid to turn back to check whether she was being followed, she pumped her legs faster despite the scorching sensation that was permeating her muscles. She chastised herself for having been born in June rather than April. Because there wouldn't be any reason for her to run. She could have Alpha Bastion and his Beta pinned against a tree with a simple sweep of her fingers. Nevertheless, she did not stop until she reached the edge of the woods that led to the town's outskirts. She looked first to her right and then to her left as her heart pounded s
Mira had always known that no one was meant to live forever. Even Immortals, those from the supernatural world. As a Blessed Hybrid, she knew that a day would come when all her worries, suffering and torment would be over. She imagined that it would all come down to losing control of her source of energy, or violence. Never did she ever believe that she had a shot at love. At finding her mate... Her fated one... And a big part of her didn't want to. She didn't want to be a burden to her mate, or those around her. So, for many years, she believed she was better off alone with her loving father at her side. Until she felt drawn to Alpha Bastion and she is yet to decide whether she wants to hang about and find out if they are mates or to venture out into a world she is yet to see. --- As the reddish-tinged moon rose in the sky, the temperature in the room dropped. Mira, who had been held hostage for two consecutive days in her mind, was gently roused from her slumber by a c
Alpha Bastion watched as Mira fell to the ground at his bare feet. Her red hair blew in the wind assaulting his sense of smell and he could see the flickering shadows from the fire as it danced across the dark green grass. His wolf clawed at his chest with a snarl hanging off the tips of his protruding canines. ~Mate!!!~ His wolf, Shadow howled. ~I will tear Enzo apart!!~ He snarled viciously meaning every word. The Alpha closed his eyes, trying to keep his wolf at bay. ~You will do no such thing. Enzo is our Beta, our most loyal and trusted comrade.~ Shadow replied with a vicious snarl before he stepped back into the shadows. The breathless silence from the assembled circle didn't go unnoticed. A soft murmur swept through the air beside the crackling sound of the fire popping. Alpha Bastion looked down at Mira, his hands curled into tight balls as he willed himself to stay rooted in his place. Mira stood up, coming face to face with the Alpha. "You took something from me that
"The Travis brothers will be banished from the pack now that they have fled. Is anyone courageous enough to contest my decision?" Alpha Bastion announced plainly as he peered out into the circle and noticed Mr Travis turning away, with his head lowered, retreating from the circle. There was no remorse felt for the elderly man. As his boys grew up, he was repeatedly cautioned that he needed to maintain a tight leash on them before they did the unimaginable and injured a human on purpose for sport. When the figure of Mr Travis's body faded into the darkness of the night, the Alpha glanced briefly in the direction of where Mira remained to stand with her back to him. She was still engaged in a lengthy discussion with the old woman who revealed who Mira genuinely was. He was still unsure what that meant or what she was capable of. Regardless of whether he chose to accept her as his mate or reject her, he was aware that she was powerful and could be a great addition to their pack. ~Re
"Well, my love, shall we?" The elderly lady asked Mira once again if they should be on their way. "Yes, It's getting late." The Alpha absentmindedly rubbed the side of his arm as a light breeze blew past him, and it carried Miras' scent along with it. As he stood at her side, his body felt like it was on fire, his flesh searing till it scorched with yearning. He watched through panicked stricken eyes as she and the elderly lady took a few steps away from him, in the direction of her residence. ~She's leaving. Don't let her leave without speaking to you. I knew you were going to fuck this up. Didn't I warn you that you would fuck this up and-~ The Alpha rolled his eyes heavenward and opened his mouth. "I'd like to have a word with you, rogue." He blurted out and turned to face them. Mira came to an abrupt halt, her shoulders sagged as she sighed, and shook her head, "My name is Mira and in the near future if you want to have a conversation with me, I suggest you learn my name
The cool air that encompassed the Alpha and his feisty rogue, grew thin with sexual tension wafting between them. With the Alpha close to her, touching her, and only a whisper away from her lips. Mira felt a hunger that was completely foreign to her. The Alpha's breath was hot against her bare skin, but it also felt soothing, like he was a remedy for the inferno that he had ignited within her. Solely from the sound of his dominant voice. It was consuming, intoxicating and as the Alpha pulled back, gazing into her eyes, he stole her breath away. His eyes glowed with crimson rings, and before her mind could catch up with her body, she leaned forward and pressed her lips against his. She felt a ripple of sparks searing through her thrumming veins, and she snaked her arms around the Alpha's neck, drawing him in closer... Deeper... ALPHA BASTION could hear Mira's heart pounding against her rib cage, it was creating a beautiful beat, matching the rhythm of his, syncing together a
"Run Clohe! You still have six laps before you need to join the others at the obstacle course!" The Alphas voice boomed through the mid-morning air. He knew he was taking his frustration out on Clohe, punishing her for last night. No matter how many times he told himself; convinced himself it was for her benefit. It wasn't. His lack of discipline was equally attributable to those who behaved behind his back without his awareness. He didn't like his pack members sacrificing themselves for a cause none of them didn't fully understand just yet. He also intended to sit down and have a word with Mave and question her. He wanted to know what was going through her mind when she told her daughter to allow Mira to draw from her energy. It was reckless and they put everyone in danger. His eyes left Clohe and they drifted towards the woods. He still had no idea why they were attacked or who attacked them. It was making him feel on edge, a little paranoid and certainly angry within hims
I closed the door to the kids' room after making sure that they were sound asleep. It didn't take very long for them to dose off as it had been a long day in the sun, and an even longer night with the activities that had been organised. I slowly crept away from their room and went to find Bastion in his makeshift office.I entered without knocking knowing that he could sense me before he saw me. He was staring out the window with his hands tucked inside his pockets, he turned around to face me as I locked the door with a soft click sweeping through the office, and I made my way to the sofa. "Have you come for a tour?" He asked acidly as he arched his brows and I started to laugh. "I'm glad you find it fucking funny!" He walked towards me. "You know what Elsa says: Let it go," I say referring to the Frozen movie as I roll my eyes heavenward and stand up.Our gazes collided, mine was full of laughter, his was blazing with anger, and his gaze stripped me bare as his scent assaulted my
MIRAS POINT OF VIEW...The moon shone brilliantly casting its silver rays on the sea as its waves crashed against the shoreline. My gaze trailed up to the horizon to see a flock of seagulls flying in the air above us. I didn't need to see them in my dreams to realise how rich I am at heart. Their violent caws resonated through the atmosphere, making their presence known.I felt the light air dance upon my skin and sweep through my hair as I dug my toes into the cool sand, feeling the grains beneath my feet. It was almost therapeutic in an odd way.Tonight wasn't particularly quiet as there was a bonfire at the beach resort we had hired out for our pack getaway. It was an avenue for everyone to socialize and get away for a bit to simply relax and enjoy the sun. "You know, I told Zeb that I thought it would be a great idea if you all come to Morzovia during the xmas break," Clohe said as she sat next to me and rubbed her ballooning belly. "Earth is great, but it is nothing like Morzovi
It has been five weeks since the war that happened with Midnight Pack, Cloves sacrifice and the sudden birth of Alpha Bastion and Alpha Miras' pup. Mira had spent the first week locked up in their room grieving. She would only come out to eat after Alpha Bastion insisted that she join their combining packs for dinner. She needed to eat so she could breastfeed their pup.At one point, she thought she was slipping into a state of depression, everytime she looked at her daughter whom they named, Emara, she felt absolutely nothing towards her. Not an ounce of love or disdain caressed her heart and she started to question herself if she was broken inside. In less than a year, she had lost both of her parents and found herself along the way and establish a family that she loved to bits. One day three weeks ago, she got out of bed early, had a shower, bathed Emara, wrapped her little bundle of joy up in a blanket, and took her sightseeing around their territory. The spring breeze swept a
After Mira had pushed out the placenta, Clove took the liberty to cut the umbilical cord herself. She looked at both Mira and Alpha Bastion. They were both distraught, dealing with their emotions differently. Mira sat on the bed, covered in sweat and she stared straight ahead with a blank look on her face. Alpha Bastion, stared at his lifeless pup in utter shock, his eyes glowed with glassy crimson rings. He opened his mouth to say something but quickly closed it as he couldn't find the right words to say how he was feeling. But he did know that a large part of his heart shrivelled up and died. What was supposed to be a joyous moment, wasn't. He felt lost and blamed himself for not making sure the river was guarded every night since Daniel was exiled. But he wasn't to know that Daniel would become allies with Siren and her pack of bloodthirsty leeches, who then would cross the river and turn his life upside down! The smell of death hung heavy not only in the room but within Pack M
She watched as he ran as fast as he could through the wet meadow with her daughter and granddaughter in his arms. Those who rushed toward them, she flung across the meadow with a flick of her wrist. "Siren is dead." She hummed in a sing-song voice as she targeted her voice toward the Midnight Pack Warriors who refused to surrender. "The Corbette twins are dead too. If you want to live, I suggest you leave Pack Moon Stone immediately without a second glance or you will suffer miserably," She warned them in a foreboding tone that felt like a dozen needles piercing their eardrums.Almost abruptly, those that had shifted into their wolf form waited for the ones that were still in their human form to jump on their backs, and they ran through the wall of trees that led them back to the river they crossed. In the distance, she could hear her daughter writhing, panting and groaning in agony. She placed a trembling hand over her chest and looked up at the heavens where the Moon still sat hig
"NO!!!!" Jagger growled as he rushed toward Mira and he stepped in front of her.He used his body to shield hers and by doing so, Tober drove the blade of the sword through his back where it pierced his lung.Mira watched in shock as Tober withdrew the sword, blood splattered across her face and she caught Jagger in her arms, slowly collapsing onto the grass with him. "Why?" She asked him in a hushed tone that was filled with uncertainty. Jagger coughed, he lifted his hand to wipe the specks of blood that stained her brow away, and he managed to form a smile on one corner of his mouth."Because you don't deserve to die," he gasped for air. "You and your father... me and Tober... bad blood, innocence... I didn't know... You deserve to be happy," he breathed out erratically.Tears welled up in Miras' eyes. She knew there was a reason why she liked him, his soul was gentle but it was the kindness in his eyes every time they collided with hers that allowed her to let her guard down aro
Mira had intended to run to her mother's aid first. But as she saw Tober rushing toward her, she decided to stare death in the eye and she charged at him with the whip sword raised high above her head. A forbidding laugh departed her lips as he shifted into his wolf. If he thought that she would retreat, he was dead wrong. She had something to prove to him and his mother Siren. The timid rogue they once knew, no longer lives inside her like the intruder that it was. She screamed, bringing the sword down, Tober's wolf, Ink, leapt to the side, and he started to run circles around her. Mira stood tall, she widened her stance and kept her head facing forward. The tip of the sword was buried in the moist soil that was flooded with blood and rain. "I know you and your horrid mother sent a bounty after me. It must have pissed you both off to know that even a trained assassin failed to take my life." She breathed out as she closed her eyes and focused on his footsteps. "You failed. How
Mira groaned as pain dispersed across her cheek. She shook her head, gasping for air as Daniel wrapped his fingers around her neck and he started to squeeze them; cutting off her air supply. In a state of panic, she swung her arm, hitting him across the head with the handle of the whip sword. "Argh, fuck!" He groaned, releasing her as he touched the back of his head. She raised her leg in the air, twisted her body to the side and she pushed him off her before she got to her feet.Shaking her head, she staggered back a few steps and she saw Daniel rushing toward her once again, with a dangerous glint of murder pooling in his eyes. She swung the sword above her head, pressing the button on the leather-cladded handle which unleashed the whip, and she wrapped it around his neck. She pressed the button on the handle once again and the whip started to twist, it tightened around his neck until his head fell off. Blood spurted from his neck as his head rolled across the meadow. Dry reachi
Five months later...It had been five months since Beta Daniel had been stripped of his status and exiled from Pack Moon Stone.Gamma Marcus had carried out Alpha Bastions' orders, he had kept Daniel tied to the pole in the middle of the town for three days and out of spite, Mave made it rain with hail stones. They were the same-sized rocks she had seen in her vision of him striking Jenson with, and when they hit the ground next to him, they shattered like glass shards, slicing his flesh wide open. Each night, the Alpha King would heal him just so Mave could make him suffer again. Once the three days and nights were over, Gamma Marcus took it upon himself to recruit his five largest warriors, and they chased him out of Pack Moon Stone to the river that led to Midnight Packs territory. He was their problem now, and whatever they decided to do with him had nothing to do with Pack Moon Stone. So they had thought...Mira had rolled over onto her side, she reached for Bastion but was met
