Chapter 37

Kai:

To say that I was angry was an understatement.

And though I understood where Irina was coming from, I was annoyed with the fact that SHE didn’t bother trying to understand what I wanted to tell her.

Hell, it was like she felt as if I was against her, and though it wasn’t the case, I knew that it was how she saw it at that point.

I let the water cascade my body, relaxing my muscles, and I took a deep breath, allowing myself to try and think straight.

The two of us were starting in a rough way, and I knew that I couldn’t blame her.

I walked out of the bathroom, getting dressed.

I saw Irina still sitting on the bed, looking at her phone. I knew that things wouldn’t be solved if the two of us didn’t talk. And I knew that I wasn’t going to blame her for being upset with what mom did, she had crossed a line that she wasn’t supposed to.
