Chapter 6

Author: Dreamy Fire
Although Wendy and Vincent might not have understood the full extent of what was happening, the sight of the arrogant Xander sprawled on the floor in shock made them realize Felix was the real deal.

"Remove the needles in an hour. Your grandfather will wake up tomorrow fully recovered," Felix stated before turning to leave.

He was here solely to fulfill Gerald's duty concerning the Miracle Card.

"Pierce of Trinity… My God, I can't believe I witnessed the Pierce of Trinity."

Snapping back to reality, Vincent quickly nudged Wendy. "Go after him!"

Then, he helped Xander to his feet and asked, "What's the Pierce of Trinity?"

"It's one of the most miraculous acupuncture techniques in traditional medicine," Xander explained instinctively.

"The Pierce of Trinity can cure most ailments. Though it has been passed down, very few can perform it. I've practiced for five years and still haven't mastered it."

Reflecting on Bernard's condition and the placement of the three needles, Xander had no doubt it was the Pierce of Trinity.

"So… he is a highly skilled doctor?" Vincent asked.

Xander glared at him, suddenly remembering the importance of the situation.

"Of course! He's a real master healer. I'm not even close to his level! Remember. Remove the needles in exactly one hour, or suffer the consequences."

He left behind a final warning before rushing outside.

Vincent was elated. The effort of getting the Miracle Card hadn't been in vain. Bernard was saved.

In the spacious courtyard outside, Felix stood with a look of exasperation on his face.

"Hey, are you going to give me a ride or not?"

Kinsley Mansion was located in the suburbs of Avesburgh. He couldn't possibly walk home.

Marco was equally troubled. He bowed deeply to Felix and replied, "Sir, please don't make it hard for me. Ms. Wendy just called and told me not to leave without her permission."

Wendy happened to arrive just then. She bent over to catch her breath, having run over the whole way. Her modest neckline had slipped, revealing more than intended.

Nevertheless, Felix had spent the past three years with his six beautiful fellow apprentices and was entirely immune to such distractions.

"What do you want?" he asked.

Wendy answered in a hurry, "Thank you for saving my grandfather. I sincerely apologize for everything that happened this morning."

Felix frowned. "You've already apologized. Now, can you let him drive me back to the city?"

Wendy was genuinely puzzled. She was a successful CEO well-known for her beauty and had plenty of admirers. Yet, Felix, brimming with youthful vigor, seemed completely unaffected by her charms.

"Can I know your name?"

Felix started to grow impatient. He simply wished to leave and search for the rare herbs to cure Curtis.

"It's Felix Zeller."

At that moment, Xander rushed over with impressive speed. Those skilled in medicine often had various ways to maintain their health, and thus physical exertion was nothing to him.

"Sir! I was blind to your greatness and offended you. Please forgive me."

Felix's expression darkened. "I'll say this one last time. Can I leave now? As for you, get lost."

Xander fell silent, and Wendy uneasily handed Felix a card.

"Mr. Zeller, this is the Kinsley family's Golden Card. It lists our family's enterprises. With this card, you'll receive VIP treatment anywhere."

Felix took the card, not caring much about it. He just wanted to get out of here immediately.

Sensing his impatience, Wendy signaled Marco with a nod.

As the car door opened, Xander clenched his teeth and said, "Sir! There's a significant figure whose grandfather—"

Felix interrupted with a cold look. "What does that have to do with me?"

Xander helplessly watched Felix leave. He thought perhaps the latter might be able to cure Curtis.

Unfortunately, he had left a bad impression.

"Ms. Kinsley, could you give me his contact information?" Xander asked.

Wendy gave a rueful smile. "Dr. Fielding, you've seen how he is. We, too, initially underestimated him just as you did. I'm afraid I can't."

With a bitter chuckle, Xander also left. He would have to relay the news to Xena, hoping that her esteemed position might allow her to get Felix's contact information from the Kinsley family.

After all, finding the elusive miracle doctor seemed far less likely than reaching out to Felix.

On the way back, Felix felt his stomach growl and asked Marco, "Does the Kinsley family own any restaurants? If so, drop me off at one of them."

At the moment, he only had a little over 200 dollars in his Cash App and no other savings. Gerald had left him a card with a huge sum of money, but he couldn't use it until his and Xena's marriage contract was resolved.

As for the Dragon Ring from Eloise and its connection to the Dragon Alliance, he had no clue how to use it. Fortunately, Leslie had slipped her Supreme Black Card from Concord Bank into his pocket before he left, so money wasn't a concern.

But since he had taken Wendy's Golden Card, he figured he might as well make use of it.

Half an hour later, at one of Avesburgh's most luxurious restaurants, Luxe Dining, two attractive women walked hand in hand toward the entrance.

"The renovated underground parking lot is such a hassle. We have to park over there and walk."

"Oh, come on. You want to eat something nice but complain about everything. If you keep this up, I won't buy you this meal."

"Hey, don't go back on your promise."

One of them was Sasha, accompanied by her best friend, Ruth Lester. They had agreed the day before to dine at Luxe Dining.

Even for just the two of them, the meal would cost no less than 3,000 dollars, which spoke volumes about Luxe Dining's high-end prices.

"Wow! A brand new Rolls-Royce Phantom. I wonder which wealthy family owns it," Ruth exclaimed, her eyes sparkling.

Sasha glanced over, spotting the car parked not far away. A sense of foreboding washed over her. Sure enough, as the car door opened, the very person she despised stepped out.

It was Felix.

"He's quite a looker. Is he from out of town? I don't recognize him."

"Good thing I'm here, or you'd be fooled! That's Felix Zeller, the guy I told you about. He rented that car to show off," Sasha said with a sneer.

Ruth's smile vanished. "Ugh, I thought he was some rich guy and was about to flirt with him."

However, Sasha's eyes gleamed with a plan. Grabbing Ruth's hand, she led her toward Felix. "It's a perfect chance. I told my mom I'd make that jerk disappear within a week."

As Felix was about to enter Luxe Dining, he heard a sarcastic voice behind him.

"Well, if it isn't Felix! Are you planning to dine here? You know you can't get in without a reservation, right?"

Felix turned and saw Sasha.Just his luck.He didn't want to argue with her, but he decided to say, "Sasha, you don't have to worry about what your father said. There's no future between us. I'll break the news to him in a month."Sasha chuckled. "At least you're self-aware. That saves me the trouble. You'd better stick to your words, or you'll regret it when I do it my way."Ruth chimed in, "You might not know how popular Sasha is now. She has more admirers than she can count, and many of them are from wealthy families. You're no match."Then, she glanced at the tail lights of the disappearing Rolls-Royce Phantom. "Renting a fancy car might change your appearance, but it won't change who you are inside."Felix nodded, relieved Sasha wasn't pursuing him. He never liked her, not three years ago, and certainly not now. Her family's company's success had only made her more arrogant and superficial. As Felix headed into Luxe Dining, Sasha scowled, and her disdain became evident. "Ar

Jamie was stunned, as were others in the lobby who heard the words "Supreme Black Card".Sasha, too, gaped at Felix in disbelief. The Supreme Black Card was a rare status symbol. Only about 30 people in the world possessed it, each with wealth beyond imagination. So, how could Felix possibly be a holder of the Supreme Black Card? That was just absurd!Swallowing hard, Jamie stammered. He knew that even the cardholders of the next tier down, the Diamond Card, would be greeted by the bank manager at the door.Handling a Supreme Black Card was a first for him, and Jamie was beyond nervous."P-Please verify your identity."Though the standard procedure was to immediately escort Supreme Black Card holders to the VIP room and notify the bank manager, Jamie was overwhelmed by the situation and couldn't think straight."Alright," Felix agreed, placing his right hand on the machine.Sasha's mind was racing as she watched. She needed to figure out how to make amends for offending Felix

Wendy finally understood what Xander was referring to at that time. The big shot he had said needed help for her grandfather was none other than the war goddess, Xena Summers."Lady Summers, please don't misunderstand. I have no intention of keeping any help from you. However, I genuinely dare not proceed without permission from the master healer. I'm sure you know from Dr. Fielding what his temper is like."No interaction under this sky wasn't driven by interests. Xena didn't expect Wendy to explain herself so readily without excessive prodding."Just say the word, and I'll be at the Kinsley family's disposal from here on out."Wendy was shocked to the core. Such a promise was priceless beyond words. Standing before her was the first goddess of war in Dragonia who possessed supreme power. With her on their side, her family would definitely soar to great heights.Yet, as soon as she thought of Felix, a pang of guilt surged within her again."I'm so sorry, Lady Summers. This is not a m

Just then, Felix's phone rang. When Sasha and the others saw the caller ID, their fury was immediately extinguished.A phone call from Wendy Kinsley?Everyone knew of Wendy. She was the daughter of the richest man here, the drop-dead gorgeous CEO of Avesburgh, and the dream woman of countless men.Just this guy? Did he really have access to Wendy's mobile? That was beyond belief. At this point, Felix had already stepped aside to answer the call."Are you here?""In a few minutes, F-Felix. Since you're there, I've made a reservation at Zenith Pavilion. We can talk there. It's quite quiet. There's no need to change locations."Although she had Felix's permission to address him by his given name, Wendy still felt distinctly uncomfortable."Okay. I'll head over now."When he hung up, Sasha was about to burst into flames."Felix Zeller! Are you not done yet? First, you show off with an edited image. Then, you hire someone to pretend to be the richest man's daughter and call you at such a cr

Hugo's brows knitted together as his deep gaze landed on Ruth."Are you saying Felix—the guy freeloading at Sasha's—has Wendy's phone number?"Ruth shrank back in fear, while Sasha stepped in to smooth things over."Hugo, I'm afraid you've misunderstood. That guy just loves to show off. If you let me explain, I'm sure we can clear things up for you."After learning about Felix's actions at Concord Bank and his presence here, Hugo let out a disdainful sneer."That's more like it. If someone like that had access to Wendy's contact, even pigs could fly!"Ivan quickly chimed in, "You're right. It was just too much of a coincidence! We almost let that bastard fool us again."Hugo patted him on the shoulder. "How dare that piece of garbage that even Sasha despises pretend to have Wendy's number? Don't you guys agree that he needs a lesson?"Ivan caught his message without fail. He had long been thinking about teaching Felix a lesson for harboring thoughts about his woman. Now that he

The Miracle Card worked in a rather straightforward way. On its flip side were multiple layers of a special coating. Each time it was retrieved, a layer would be peeled off to reveal a new phone number. This would be Gerald's latest contact information. This system seemed to have no safeguards, yet it topped any high-tech security system. Only two people in the world could process the card for its next use—Felix and Gerald. They practiced the same unique technique, which was the only method to remove the coating.By now, the little boy had arrived at the entrance of Luxe Dining. He held the Miracle Card in his hands. The previous coating had already been peeled off by Felix, thus making it ready for use.The boy hastily stopped a heavily bejeweled woman and asked, "Excuse me, ma'am. Would you like to buy this?"Disgust instantly clouded her face."Go away! Where on earth did this little beggar come from? How useless can the security be at Luxe Dining? How could they let him linger

The Phoenix Legion was a formidable force led by Xena. Apart from the highest authorities in Dragonia, the army only answered to Xena. The legion was stationed on the outskirts of Avesburgh. They occupied a vast area and were equipped with all sorts of advanced weaponry. Whenever they were deployed, victory was guaranteed.Because her unit was based here by national orders, Xena also had to reside in Avesburgh. At this moment, Xena was in her office at the headquarters of the Phoenix Legion, reviewing some documents."There's a possibility that the S-ranked fugitive group—the Menacing Four—could make an appearance in Avesburgh in the coming days? Ha! Where did these thugs get the balls to come and make a mess in my territory?"Just then, her office door swung open, and in walked her subordinate, Belle Frost. She was drop-dead gorgeous, a stunning beauty who had been under Xena for a few years now."Milady, there's news about the miracle doctor."Xena leaped to her feet. She had

Ben was quite an interesting character. Felix felt amused. "Really? Then, I'll just kill all of you and run. Thank you for your kind reminder!"Huh? For a second, Ben was caught off guard, and he was at a loss for words. After all, who wanted to die? He definitely didn't. The issue was the two strongest men he had were killed in seconds. Who else could stop Felix from killing them all? Gulping, Ben forced a smile and chuckled. "Kid, we're all trying to make money here. I merely misspoke earlier. Fifteenth Overlord treasures talent the most! And with your skills, he definitely won't fight you when he comes."Felix smiled. "Really? Then, what about the people I've injured?""No, no, don't worry about them. They're not as skilled as you, and it's only right for them to have such an end." After some thought, Felix nodded. "Alright. Since you said so, I'll wait for Fifteenth Overlord to come."A few minutes later, a man rushed in, shouting, "Mr. Hitchcock! Mr. Murray is here to

Felix knew Trevor wasn't lying, which surprised him even more. Fifteenth Overlord was nothing more than just a gang boss, yet even Cairo didn't dare to attack him? That had to be a joke.Felix's curiosity was bursting at the seams. When they finally reached the hall, he noticed the whole street was full of two-story buildings. The exterior walls were all painted the same color—uniform and stoic. They entered through a corner entrance, walking straight into a large courtyard. "Mr. Hitchcock, please! I was wrong! I'll never do it again! Please give me another chance!" A man was kneeling in the yard, covered in blood and begging for mercy. Soon, he was hit on the head, and he fell to the ground. Ten men were standing around the collapsed man, and they all turned to look at Felix in unison. The only man unfazed was a bearded middle-aged man with a cup of coffee in his hands. He sat on the side, sipping almost happily and seemingly enjoying the scene."Mr. Hitchcock!" Trevor exc

"You all should leave quickly. I've already called the police. I checked, and the nearest police station is only 1.8 miles away from here!"Both Lars and Yolanda were stunned—even the burly man was dumbfounded. He had never encountered this before. Everyone knew who Fifteenth Overlord was, yet Felix still dared to call the police?"Fuck! I'll remember you! You'd better visit Fifteenth Overlord, Yolanda. Otherwise, you'll be in even more trouble." The burly man scowled before turning around to his men. "Let's go!"The MPVs left as quickly as they came. When Felix turned to Lars and Yolanda, they both looked ashen. He asked in confusion, "What happened? Why are you guys so pale? They left, didn't they?" Lars smiled bitterly. "It's okay. Lars slammed on the brakes, and the car squealed to a stop. He turned to look at Felix in disbelief. "H-How much did you say?"Felix looked startled and blurted, "My dad said as long as it's not more than ten billion dollars, I can do whatever I want."Lars quickly sucked in a breath of cold air excitedly, turning to look at Yolanda. On the other hand, she was quite composed."Is your family really that rich now, Felix?"She really couldn't believe that her former classmate could be this rich. Yolanda's family had started their business back when she was in elementary school, and it took decades of development to reach this level. It wasn't that she looked down on him, but Felix's words were too unbelievable. If his father dared throw the requirements of less than ten billion dollars to do whatever he wanted, that meant that Felix's family had at least tens of billions of dollars in assets. Otherwise, who would dare do this?It wasn't just an exaggeration. It was simply outrage

After phoning in the dead body, Felix left. He didn't explain much but only said that Bonnie was a Malevolent Phantom and asked to come and dispose of the body. Back on the main road, Felix walked on the sidewalk, planning to walk back to his hotel. However, a car stopped next to him. "Felix!" It was Lars and Yolanda in a Mercedes-Benz G500. Yolanda looked utterly confused in the passenger seat. "Oh, it 'is' you."The tennis court was one of the prestigious courts in Monaire despite being open for around a year. It was also located in the suburbs, so seeing Felix walking on the roadside was odd."Why are you walking?"Felix replied with a smile, "The scenery is really beautiful here, so I plan to walk back. It's still early anyway."Lars rolled his eyes. "Dude, it's over six miles away from the city. Do you actually plan to walk back?"On the side, Yolanda piped up, "Come join us, then. You must've seen enough of the scenery, right?"After some thought, Felix agreed. This w

Bonnie's expression turned ugly. She caught a glimpse of something behind Felix. However, she couldn't see it clearly."Do you really think I'm afraid of you?" She smirked. Knowing how terrifying the spell was, she no longer held back. Black markings surged across her face and instantly covered it.The scene was eerie. At the same time, Felix used his killer move. "Six Word Mantra!"Despite being the same spell, its power had been heavily improved. The Phaeron Projection had no attack power, but once used, it could enhance all of Felix's soul attacks. On the other hand, Bonnie didn't sense a difference. She noticed the projection behind Felix. But because of his current strength, the projection was weak and blurry. As his strength grew, the projection would become clearer and more powerful.A terrifying wave of energy surged toward Bonnie, so she didn't hold back her final trump card. "Dark Shadow!" Instantly, a 32-foot-tall shadow appeared. Its bloody mouth opened as it whist

Bonnie was obviously stronger in terms of soul mastery—perhaps it was why Felix couldn't sense her realm despite being in his domain. There seemed to be a strange energy that surrounded her.He didn't dare to use his marital artist techniques to attack. Although he had the Infinite Shield, if he wasn't careful, there was a chance to damage his soul. That would be completely catastrophic. In the battle between souls, it was necessary to be completely focused—they were all written in the book given by Billy. "You're quite smart. I thought you were going to attack me with your martial arts." She sounded almost disappointed. She had thought Felix was just another untrained brute, that he would instinctively use his martial arts to fight her. If he did, she would undoubtedly have a chance to beat him."Enough!" Felix exclaimed as he launched the first attack. Lumen flew out, but Bonnie wasn't afraid at all.Something flew out of her body as she exchanged blows with the Lumen. As ex

Despite the power of the Eight Guardians, he must take them all down.Without another word, a domain immediately surrounded them, and Felix frowned."You're not Ashton."The energy exuded by this man was definitely of a martial artist, but once in the domain, Felix immediately realized that it was just a man in the early stages of the Transcendent Realm. How the hell could he be Ashton? Before he finished his words, Felix leaped toward the man and grabbed him by the neck. "Tell me! Who are you? Yolanda smiled bitterly. The idea made sense, but she rejected the thought. "Forget it. You know how large of a sum my financial crisis is! Besides, whether it's individuals or companies, who in Monaire has the strength to come up with 5 billion dollars on the spot—except for that bastard."She sighed.
