Chapter 6

Although Wendy and Vincent might not have understood the full extent of what was happening, the sight of the arrogant Xander sprawled on the floor in shock made them realize Felix was the real deal.

"Remove the needles in an hour. Your grandfather will wake up tomorrow fully recovered," Felix stated before turning to leave.

He was here solely to fulfill Gerald's duty concerning the Miracle Card.

"Pierce of Trinity… My God, I can't believe I witnessed the Pierce of Trinity."

Snapping back to reality, Vincent quickly nudged Wendy. "Go after him!"

Then, he helped Xander to his feet and asked, "What's the Pierce of Trinity?"

"It's one of the most miraculous acupuncture techniques in traditional medicine," Xander explained instinctively.

"The Pierce of Trinity can cure most ailments. Though it has been passed down, very few can perform it. I've practiced for five years and still haven't mastered it."

Reflecting on Bernard's condition and the placement of the three needles, Xander had no doubt it was the Pierce of Trinity.

"So… he is a highly skilled doctor?" Vincent asked.

Xander glared at him, suddenly remembering the importance of the situation.

"Of course! He's a real master healer. I'm not even close to his level! Remember. Remove the needles in exactly one hour, or suffer the consequences."

He left behind a final warning before rushing outside.

Vincent was elated. The effort of getting the Miracle Card hadn't been in vain. Bernard was saved.

In the spacious courtyard outside, Felix stood with a look of exasperation on his face.

"Hey, are you going to give me a ride or not?"

Kinsley Mansion was located in the suburbs of Avesburgh. He couldn't possibly walk home.

Marco was equally troubled. He bowed deeply to Felix and replied, "Sir, please don't make it hard for me. Ms. Wendy just called and told me not to leave without her permission."

Wendy happened to arrive just then. She bent over to catch her breath, having run over the whole way. Her modest neckline had slipped, revealing more than intended.

Nevertheless, Felix had spent the past three years with his six beautiful fellow apprentices and was entirely immune to such distractions.

"What do you want?" he asked.

Wendy answered in a hurry, "Thank you for saving my grandfather. I sincerely apologize for everything that happened this morning."

Felix frowned. "You've already apologized. Now, can you let him drive me back to the city?"

Wendy was genuinely puzzled. She was a successful CEO well-known for her beauty and had plenty of admirers. Yet, Felix, brimming with youthful vigor, seemed completely unaffected by her charms.

"Can I know your name?"

Felix started to grow impatient. He simply wished to leave and search for the rare herbs to cure Curtis.

"It's Felix Zeller."

At that moment, Xander rushed over with impressive speed. Those skilled in medicine often had various ways to maintain their health, and thus physical exertion was nothing to him.

"Sir! I was blind to your greatness and offended you. Please forgive me."

Felix's expression darkened. "I'll say this one last time. Can I leave now? As for you, get lost."

Xander fell silent, and Wendy uneasily handed Felix a card.

"Mr. Zeller, this is the Kinsley family's Golden Card. It lists our family's enterprises. With this card, you'll receive VIP treatment anywhere."

Felix took the card, not caring much about it. He just wanted to get out of here immediately.

Sensing his impatience, Wendy signaled Marco with a nod.

As the car door opened, Xander clenched his teeth and said, "Sir! There's a significant figure whose grandfather—"

Felix interrupted with a cold look. "What does that have to do with me?"

Xander helplessly watched Felix leave. He thought perhaps the latter might be able to cure Curtis.

Unfortunately, he had left a bad impression.

"Ms. Kinsley, could you give me his contact information?" Xander asked.

Wendy gave a rueful smile. "Dr. Fielding, you've seen how he is. We, too, initially underestimated him just as you did. I'm afraid I can't."

With a bitter chuckle, Xander also left. He would have to relay the news to Xena, hoping that her esteemed position might allow her to get Felix's contact information from the Kinsley family.

After all, finding the elusive miracle doctor seemed far less likely than reaching out to Felix.

On the way back, Felix felt his stomach growl and asked Marco, "Does the Kinsley family own any restaurants? If so, drop me off at one of them."

At the moment, he only had a little over 200 dollars in his Cash App and no other savings. Gerald had left him a card with a huge sum of money, but he couldn't use it until his and Xena's marriage contract was resolved.

As for the Dragon Ring from Eloise and its connection to the Dragon Alliance, he had no clue how to use it. Fortunately, Leslie had slipped her Supreme Black Card from Concord Bank into his pocket before he left, so money wasn't a concern.

But since he had taken Wendy's Golden Card, he figured he might as well make use of it.

Half an hour later, at one of Avesburgh's most luxurious restaurants, Luxe Dining, two attractive women walked hand in hand toward the entrance.

"The renovated underground parking lot is such a hassle. We have to park over there and walk."

"Oh, come on. You want to eat something nice but complain about everything. If you keep this up, I won't buy you this meal."

"Hey, don't go back on your promise."

One of them was Sasha, accompanied by her best friend, Ruth Lester. They had agreed the day before to dine at Luxe Dining.

Even for just the two of them, the meal would cost no less than 3,000 dollars, which spoke volumes about Luxe Dining's high-end prices.

"Wow! A brand new Rolls-Royce Phantom. I wonder which wealthy family owns it," Ruth exclaimed, her eyes sparkling.

Sasha glanced over, spotting the car parked not far away. A sense of foreboding washed over her. Sure enough, as the car door opened, the very person she despised stepped out.

It was Felix.

"He's quite a looker. Is he from out of town? I don't recognize him."

"Good thing I'm here, or you'd be fooled! That's Felix Zeller, the guy I told you about. He rented that car to show off," Sasha said with a sneer.

Ruth's smile vanished. "Ugh, I thought he was some rich guy and was about to flirt with him."

However, Sasha's eyes gleamed with a plan. Grabbing Ruth's hand, she led her toward Felix. "It's a perfect chance. I told my mom I'd make that jerk disappear within a week."

As Felix was about to enter Luxe Dining, he heard a sarcastic voice behind him.

"Well, if it isn't Felix! Are you planning to dine here? You know you can't get in without a reservation, right?"
