Exalia’s pov

The rest of the night, no one slept at all, we spent it in preparation and training and this training was not only physical, it was also mental training.

I learned from Isolde about the lore of the white wolf, i learned about the legend and the power that dwelled within me that I had just started to understand.

As the dawn drew nearer and nearer I stood by myself and I watched as the first ray of sunlight touched the land. There were a lot of emotions in my heart and it pounded and pounderd.

Emotions like fear, determination, insecurity and curiosity. I was at the brink of stepping into the unknown and this wasn’t just about confrontation of a tribe but uncovering truths about myself , fate and Destiny.

As the day broke, i spoke positive words to myself and told myself I was going to conquer.

The kingdom soon became a fortess of tension and uncertainty as the sun rose high in the sky.

Alpha Alex had called for an emergency meeting as the tribe’s elders were visiting our

Exalia Pov That night, I spoke with Alex. “If I go with them, will you come with me?” I asked. He looked conflicted. “I can’t leave the pack,” he said. “But I won’t let them hurt you.” I realized I couldn’t ask Alex to choose between me and his responsibilities. The decision had to be mine alone. The next morning, I met with the pack council. “I’ll go with the Lunari,” I said, my voice steady. “But on one condition—they leave the pack alone.” Alex’s eyes burned with anger. “You’re not going anywhere without me,” he said. “You have to stay,” I replied. “The pack needs you.” “And I need you.” He said, holding out my hands. I shook out my head, moving backwards. “This isn't right. “ I muttered and held my cheeks, looking straight until my eyes. “I love you okay…and I'm doing everything in my power to keep our love bond.” “I understand you. But you can't stop me from being who I'm supposed to be. For the moon goddess sake. I'm supposed to be a Lunari. No one in the pack acknow

Alex’s POV I stood in front of the White Tribe Elders, keeping my voice steady. “If Exalia is going to be your Lunari, you’ll have to accept my terms.” One of the Elders frowned. “And what are these terms, Alpha Alex?” I didn’t hesitate. “You’ll let her stay here for a week. During that time, she will become my legal wife and the Luna of this pack. After that, she can return to your White Tribe pack, but only if this condition is met.” The Elders looked at one another, their discontent clear. “Ridiculous,” one of them snapped. “The Lunari must mate with a White Tribe wolf if she is to return. This is the only acceptable path.” “Then no one is taking her from me,” I replied firmly. Another Elder shook his head. “This is absurd. Tradition dictates that she must choose one of us.” Exalia, standing beside me, spoke up. “I won’t reject Alex. You all know this. He’s my mate, and I won’t go against that bond.” I gripped her hand, feeling the strength in her words. “And I won’t reje

Exalia’s pov As Eldric told us his story, we listened, well i listened attentively, each word he said hit my consciousness and made me wonder. With the way he talked and told the story, every living thing around us seemed to listen too. From the birds chirping on the trees to even the forest trees, they all seemed to listen to Eldric’s tale. From the way the leaves rustled when he spoke to the whispering of the winds, you would know that they all listened and payed attention. Eldric paused for a few seconds and continued his story. “The legendary White Wolves you all hear about they’re not a fable or a myth, they’re not a folklore or folktale they’re real life. They were our ancestors, and they were more than just leaders, they’re more than anything you have ever heard about them before now; The White Wolves were the ancient gate keepers of balance in the entire werewolf kindred, the guardians of nature's inabitrary laws. But just like any other dynasty in the history, there w

Exalia’s pov "Hey, you need not worry yourself because I promise," I whispered to him and then I sealed it by planting a kiss on his soft pink lips that meant both goodbye and a vow that I was definitely going to return home to him.I took just one last look at my Alex, and then he winked me and let go off my hands, allowing me to step forward and cross into the Lunari's territory.Elder Eldric led the way, his presence was now that of a mature guide rather than a captor, but that didn’t mean he didn’t still have that diabolical aura around him. I flashed back to the first day the Lunari visited our pack, how we were all tensed up. The funny thing was that I didn’t even get a heads up that morning, I was taking fresh air at the backyard when Alpha Alex immediately instructed everyone to fall out. I remembered how Eldric was on that day, everyone was so cautious about him because of the way he appeared. Maybe he had come with a lot of charms and juju that day, because I could see

Alex’s pov.The dawn was already upon us and it’s light could be seen as it penetrated through the windows, exactly like an intruder into the warm and calm solitude of my royal chambers. The day after my Exalia had gone with the Lunari was very hectic and terrible for me, the palace felt so empty and the silence could be felt deeply. I just layed in my chambers, sorrowful and sulking my time away, I was so sad.Day after day and night after night, all I could think of was Exalia. When I closed my eyes, all I could see was Exalia, our wonderful and lovely moments we shared together. I would remember how she laughed so happily like a child, the way her eyes would always light up whenever she mischievously pranked me.I would remember how strong our love was and how we used to play with one another under the moon light and have sex till dawn, the stolen kisses in the midnight and all the amazing memories. As I thought about all these things, my heart ached the more and I started to fe

Alex’s pov.My Beta, Lena came closer to me, her precense was always strong and reassuring. “Alpha Alex, I know Exalia and she’s a strong girl, she’s stronger than any of us can imagine and let’s not forget she’s a Lunari too.”Lena said, reassuring me. “She’s with the Lunari and I believe they will guide her and protect her as their own, and when she’s ready, she will come back home safely to us.” Marcus nodded his head, acknowledging what Lena had said, “Let’s not even forget she’s their queen and savior.” He added with a faint smile.“Exactly, I almost forgot that.” Lena said smiling too.“Yeah I know all these, but it still doesn’t make it easier for me to bear,” I murmured and my gaze went straight to the horizon where the forest was and where Exalia had left from. "Alpha, don’t worry we’re going to keep the pack strong in her absence," Marcus said to me reassuringly with a firm voice, his voice was firm and he had made a resolve."And also, we'll prepare for her return. Alex’s pov Tuesdays were always very pleasant and I loved it when it was Tuesday, I also loved to take private meditations in my private chambers, it gave me comfort and peace of mind.It was around 11 am and the quietness of my private apartment was a pleasant thing to experience. My private apartment was the only place on this earth where I could truly cut off from the world and dive deep into the inner depths of my own mind and thoughts.Life wasn’t easy as an Alpha, I had said this countless times. There was a lot of burdens and responsibilities to bear and anyone who was not was not strong would totally collapse.I loved meditating all the time, it was my own form of refuge, a way to connect with the wolf that was inside of me.A way for me to maintain the balance necessary to lead my people rightMy room was lit but only with soft glowing white candles. Their flames were mild, but they danced up and down as if they were going to go wild. I had started my meditation and yoga

Exalia’s povMorning came and its light was gentle. The morning lights filtered through the reeds of my chamber window and it cast beautiful and artistic patterns across the floor. I was awed by the beauty of nature as I looked at it.I was still tired and the memory of my dream was still in my head, so I just lay there for a moment and thoght about everything. As I thought about my dream, I prayed for it to come to pass, and it was not just for the sake of my own longing to go back home to meet my Alex, but also for the sake of peace between Lunari and my pack. The dream I had last night was not just a wish, the dream felt more like a vision as if it was a destiny that I could personally shape.I stood up from my bed and the urgency to share this dream was all that bothered me.I wanted to make it real and turn it into a reality, because it was the sole purpose of why I was even in the Lunari kingom.I rinsed my face with water, and I left my room to go look for Eldric,he needed to h

Exalia’s pov.“Good morning my lady,” an old man greeted me as I was returning from my morning routine, my early morning jogging. It was one of the gatekeepers, I liked to call him old man Haggard.Haggard was particularly fond of me and he was always so happy to see me.I had gone for my early morning jogging routine and I had just finished. I was so tired that I could barely raise my legs and walk properly because I had been jogging nonstop for about an hour and thirty minutes.“Hey good morning Haggard,” I replied, smiling back at him. He looked like he hadn’t slept all night, eyes red and almost swollen.“Happy to see you this morning boss, how was your morning excercise?” He asked me, smiling as he spoke every word.I told him I was fine and I was improving and doing perfectly okay, then he sat down on his char and brought out a cigarette from his back pocket.“Hey, you don’t sleep do you?” I asked, observing his features, from his eyes down to his walking style. “We have to

Alex’s pov.The questions continued and we took turns to interrogate them.As they answered the questions we asked, we noticed that each member of the group answered accurately and their stories aligned, they were indeed tourists from the human world. They had been drawn by tales, fables and myths of our unique and amazing culture and the mysterious nature of our secluded and segregated kingdom. My Beta, Lena, who’s always the skeptic and more detailed of us all, began to dig deeper and ask them more questions. She asked them about their route, the route they had taken to get here, she asked about their knowledge and everything they knew about our customs and traditions, Lena even asked about the plans they had after this particular visit. After what felt like a couple of hours, but it was actually just one hour, we were finally convinced of their innocence and truthfulness. After looking at their map, we found out that it was very much old and outdated. We noticed their eagerness

Alex’s pov .As the young lad departed, his figure disappearing into the forest, I went back to inspect the sanitation of the cities and districts. My heart was very heavy but I reminded myself to have hope always, because as far as there was life, there was hope. With each step I took, my steps became lighter and I could feel that a part of me was reaching out to her. I could feel that we would be united and together once more and never to separate again. Saturday went on and throughout the period, my thoughts were a hundred percent with Exalia. All I could think of was the sweet, loving and romantic memories we shared, times when she would kiss me and tell me that she would always be there for me.I could picture her reading my letter, surely she would feel the same mixture of joy and sorrow while she read it. I could feel the connection between us and it grew stronger and stronger, it was so strong that no force could break or come in between. The evening air was very cool and c

Alex’s pov.Alex’s letter. It was Saturday and it was a work and rest day. Also, it was the last Saturday of the month, and that meant that it was the monthly Environmental Sanitation Day.This was a ritual sanitation that was done throughout the whole pack every last Saturday of the month and today was one of such days.I was out early, to oversee the day’s activities and make sure that every region and corner of the pack was taken care of and cleaned, all the dirts and refuse were removed and discarded appropriately. But thinking about it deeply, one could observe and notice that there was something about this work. There was something grounding about watching all members of our pack come together and put in effort for us to achieve a common good goal.I was in the process of organizing a particular group of young lads and girls to clean a river bank that had been dirty for weeks when a sudden commotion from a distance caught my attention instantly.A young lad, apparently a dispatc

Alex’s pov"Hey Alex, the love my life. How are you doing? Well you know you’re fine but I want to let you know that I’ve missed you so much.” I paused and looked at the letter I was writing, I thought about what next to say, and then I took a deep breath and continued writing.“Staying here has not been easy, I have experienced a lot in the short span of a month but I just got to keep going. As I grow stronger here day by day, I simply realize how much I need your strength, love and support by my side, i must confess that it has not been easy without you. Nevertheless,I am learning so much and that’s on period, Alex, but learning without you by my side to tell me congratulations and cheer me up feels so incomplete. I love you so much Alex, I really do. And I count the moments until I can return home to your arms once more."I paused again and looked at the letter I had just written, then I took a deep breath and read it out again. Exalia’s pov It had been almost a month and two weeks since I had left my home pack to the Lunari kingdom.Ever since I got there, I had been receiving intensive training and preparations for the coming rituals ceremony that would crown me as the empress of the Lunari and break the tribe from the curse so that they would be finally free. The training with the Lunari was intensive and very very rigorous, each day it was from training to training and excercise to excercise. They made me push to my limits that I never knew I could even get to. I was taught a lot of things, like the ancient art and skill of harnessing lunar energy, I was taught the art of shifting into werewolf form with both grace and power. I was even taught the secretes of lineage and they flowed into me like a river. I was a fast learner and surely I was learning very fast, Eldric had told me that after my training and the rituals have been performed, I was free to go back to my pack provided i come and visit once

Alex’s pov.Marcus described the offensive tactics that our military often employed, he detailed vividly, how we would use our terrain and make use of the popularly used element of surprise, together with the combined valour and might of all our military units. “This is great work you have put up Marcus, I’m proud of you.” I said to him and he smiled and said thanks, and he continued his explanation.“If there is an attack, we would envelope the enemy using Skirmishers to flank them while the vanguard will push forward, this would cause great confusion and allow our military to go ahead and exploit the weaknesses in the enemy formation.”I listened attentively to what Marcus had been saying and I could do was smile in pride at the smartness and strength of my military. In my mind's eye, I pictured everything he was saying. “What if we are caught off guard?” I asked in anticipation, and Marcus had the exact answer.“If we are caught off guard, we would fall back to our strong base dow
