Exalia’s pov

As Eldric told us his story, we listened, well i listened attentively, each word he said hit my consciousness and made me wonder.

With the way he talked and told the story, every living thing around us seemed to listen too.

From the birds chirping on the trees to even the forest trees, they all seemed to listen to Eldric’s tale.

From the way the leaves rustled when he spoke to the whispering of the winds, you would know that they all listened and payed attention.

Eldric paused for a few seconds and continued his story.

“The legendary White Wolves you all hear about they’re not a fable or a myth, they’re not a folklore or folktale they’re real life.

They were our ancestors, and they were more than just leaders, they’re more than anything you have ever heard about them before now; The White Wolves were the ancient gate keepers of balance in the entire werewolf kindred, the guardians of nature's inabitrary laws.

But just like any other dynasty in the history, there w

Exalia’s pov "Hey, you need not worry yourself because I promise," I whispered to him and then I sealed it by planting a kiss on his soft pink lips that meant both goodbye and a vow that I was definitely going to return home to him.I took just one last look at my Alex, and then he winked me and let go off my hands, allowing me to step forward and cross into the Lunari's territory.Elder Eldric led the way, his presence was now that of a mature guide rather than a captor, but that didn’t mean he didn’t still have that diabolical aura around him. I flashed back to the first day the Lunari visited our pack, how we were all tensed up. The funny thing was that I didn’t even get a heads up that morning, I was taking fresh air at the backyard when Alpha Alex immediately instructed everyone to fall out. I remembered how Eldric was on that day, everyone was so cautious about him because of the way he appeared. Maybe he had come with a lot of charms and juju that day, because I could see

Alex’s pov.The dawn was already upon us and it’s light could be seen as it penetrated through the windows, exactly like an intruder into the warm and calm solitude of my royal chambers. The day after my Exalia had gone with the Lunari was very hectic and terrible for me, the palace felt so empty and the silence could be felt deeply. I just layed in my chambers, sorrowful and sulking my time away, I was so sad.Day after day and night after night, all I could think of was Exalia. When I closed my eyes, all I could see was Exalia, our wonderful and lovely moments we shared together. I would remember how she laughed so happily like a child, the way her eyes would always light up whenever she mischievously pranked me.I would remember how strong our love was and how we used to play with one another under the moon light and have sex till dawn, the stolen kisses in the midnight and all the amazing memories. As I thought about all these things, my heart ached the more and I started to fe

Alex’s pov.My Beta, Lena came closer to me, her precense was always strong and reassuring. “Alpha Alex, I know Exalia and she’s a strong girl, she’s stronger than any of us can imagine and let’s not forget she’s a Lunari too.”Lena said, reassuring me. “She’s with the Lunari and I believe they will guide her and protect her as their own, and when she’s ready, she will come back home safely to us.” Marcus nodded his head, acknowledging what Lena had said, “Let’s not even forget she’s their queen and savior.” He added with a faint smile.“Exactly, I almost forgot that.” Lena said smiling too.“Yeah I know all these, but it still doesn’t make it easier for me to bear,” I murmured and my gaze went straight to the horizon where the forest was and where Exalia had left from. "Alpha, don’t worry we’re going to keep the pack strong in her absence," Marcus said to me reassuringly with a firm voice, his voice was firm and he had made a resolve."And also, we'll prepare for her return. Alex’s povThe next day, I woke up at the same time with the sun. I was feeling happy and sweet as I had had a wonderful night's rest. The sun’s rays were so sharp and bright that it pierced through the heavy walls and penetrated through the curtains of my chambers. It brought in illumination and a big surge of energy into my room. I felt so happy and alive. Do you know the kind of vigor and joy that comes with knowing you're where you're meant to be, doing what you're meant to do? No, I don’t think anyone knew that feeling except me. I stretched my arms and then after a few seconds, I made my way to the balcony. This was my special balcony and it was located at the topmost floor of the palace, just close to my room. The cool morning air was so refreshing and cold and for a moment, I thought I would catch a cold. From the balcony high above, I looked down below at the pack, to the beautiful sight of our kingdom. The site was so magnificent and beautiful and the grass stretch

Alex’s pov.“Okay we’re all going to make this our number one priority, I hope that’s clear?“ I said with a tone of command and they both nodded. “One more thing, while we’re at it, I want you guys to provide me with a list of all the local governments and villages that fall within our kingdom and pack.”“Okay?” Lena said, somewhat surprised that I was making such a request. “I want to make sure that they’re all getting the social amenities that they deserve, no one should suffer from lack or underdevelopment.” As they both went to carry out my instructions, I just sat back on my chair, I looked around at the whole bunch of responsibilities before me, it was definitely not easy being an Alpha. Most people would think it was just an easy task but not until they tried it out. This wasn’t just governance, In Fact it was more than just governance, this was about caring for every single pack member and ensuring that they were comfortable and living the best standard. This was my respo

Alex’s pov. After taking another bath, I decided to walk out of my room and go outside to take a stroll. It was definitely something I could do, especially as it was still evening. As I stepped outside my room, I bumped into Marcus, and he was just looking at me.His eyes widened slowly and he stared at me in a way that showed surprise. He had definitely seen the change in me ."Wow Alpha, I almost didn’t recognize you, you look... different," he said, still staring at me, his tone a mix of surprise, awe and curiosity.I smiled as I felt the truth of his observations vibrate through my body.“Marcus, I feel so different. I spent time meditating and focused on enhancing every single aspect of what we are, I feel I have awakened something from within.”Marcus looked at me, smiled and nodded, his gaze started to assess, maybe he was even gauging if I was ready for what was to come. "Alpha Alex, Your aura, it's stronger and very much more vibrant than it used to be. I can feel it."“Wel

Alex’s pov Soon, the meat was on fire and as the aroma of cooking meat started to fill the air, I started feeling a deep sense of contentment and satisfaction. Apparently, this feeling came not just from the hunt or the meal it was going to provide for me, it rather came from the fact that I had renewed my bond with the wild. That was the very essence of being a werewolf and an Alpha for that matter, and I was happy and felt proud of myself. This morning’s feeding was not just my body that I fed,I also fed my spirit. I reconnected with the primal animal instincts, I reconnected with the pack, and most importantly, I reconnected with the land that was ours. This was something I needed to do more often. After breakfast, I commend the cooks for cooking such a beautiful and delicious meal. They blushed and thanked me, with surprise in their faces, it wasn’t all the time I smiled and played with my staff.I walked to the barracks to see what was happening there, a few soldiers were t

Alex’s pov.Marcus described the offensive tactics that our military often employed, he detailed vividly, how we would use our terrain and make use of the popularly used element of surprise, together with the combined valour and might of all our military units. “This is great work you have put up Marcus, I’m proud of you.” I said to him and he smiled and said thanks, and he continued his explanation.“If there is an attack, we would envelope the enemy using Skirmishers to flank them while the vanguard will push forward, this would cause great confusion and allow our military to go ahead and exploit the weaknesses in the enemy formation.”I listened attentively to what Marcus had been saying and I could do was smile in pride at the smartness and strength of my military. In my mind's eye, I pictured everything he was saying. “What if we are caught off guard?” I asked in anticipation, and Marcus had the exact answer.“If we are caught off guard, we would fall back to our strong base dow

Alex’s pov.Elsa and I fought and fought, I must confess the fact that she wasn’t an easy task. She was very swift and fast, and I don’t ever remember having fought a person like that before. As we fought, I kept on wondering if this was the underrated Elsa of our pack or if it was another person. For the first time since I started the duel this evening, my body started sweating profusely and I knew for sure that me wining this match was a probability.Who was this lady for crying out loud, and who has taught her how to fight like this? She was so calm and computed and she fought so skillfully. Many things started to play down in my head. Was she using diabolical means to fight ? Was she a more advanced supernatural? Or was she possessed? It wasn’t impossible that she might be possessed, but even if she was, I should be able to defeat whatever spirit possessed her.We continued fighting, and our swords clashed like thunder. The funny thing was that no one talked or made a sound, n

Alex’s pov.The afternoon had a very calm and peaceful feeling, its light was mild as the sun was not really that bright. The radiation of the sun was mild and calm and cast lazy warmth across the whole kingdom. Well I had an idea already, I was going to use the training ground to kill my boredom.I walked up to the middle of the fields, and then I blew my whistle and called my available soldiers to gather Immediately.I could see the curiosity in their eyes as they all gathered immediately, wondering why I was calling them. “Today, I want us to do something special and interesting.” I said, announcing my plans. “I want you all to take turns to battle me with the sword, and whoever gets to conquer me shall get a gift of 100 karat gold immediately.” They all looked at me with shock and disbeli

Alex’s pov. From the look of the young lad, he was seemingly having pity on his master and I could see it in his eyes. This old man needed to be punished, he had disobeyed the laws. He needed to face the wrath of the law, so that he would do better next time. “Marcus, here’s the boy’s master that was beating him up yesterday.” I said to Marcus land Lena, pointing at the weary and sober old man.“Hmm, he looks quite crude,” commented Lena, and she walked up to the old man and observed him. The old man faced his head down in shame and soberness. “Alpha, he must face the law,” Marcus muttered to me with a serious and unfriendly tone.Lena heard what he said and nodded in agreement. As all this was going on, I looked at the boy’s face and i could see that he wasn’t happy. He obviously knew that we were discussing his master and we were deliberating on wether to punish him or not.The old man on the other hand, kept on begging and pleading for mercy, promising that he would never hit

I got up from my bed and went to the window, I opened it and looked outside. The morning sun was shining bright in the sky and the ray was bright and beautiful. As I surveyed the environment from my window, I could see the barracks far off and I strained my eyes to see what was going on.The soldiers had already began their daily training routine and they were active.I noticed a new figure, standing and looking at them. I tried to make out who it was, but I couldn’t quite get it.I went to my bathroom and started to brush my teeth, I would bathe and get ready to start my day. As I brushed, I suddenly remembered that who the unknown figure was, it was the young boy I had rescued from his master’s beating yesterday.“Oh, how could I forget?” I murmured, wondering how I could forget something that happened just yesterday. Alex’s pov “Why were you hitting the little boy?” I asked the man sharply, I wasn’t in the mood for games and hide and seek. I need straight answers and i need them now.” I said with a tone of command. The man was startled immediately and his body froze. I stared at him, waiting for his response.“Alpha, I didn’t hit the boy,” he denied, his voice shaky and his body vibrating. I looked at this man and shook my head, did he think I was a kid ? Or who was he lieng to?“I’m going to ask you one last time, don’t waste my time. Why did you hit the boy?” I asked again. Alex’s pov.Eldric and I were having a lofty conversation and I was still excited about Exalia’s return when I woke up. It was then that I discovered that it was all a dream.“Oh shit,” I said to myself as soon as I came back to reality and realized that it was a dream all along. I sat up straight and sighed deeply. It felt so real and I was really angry and disappointed when I realized it had been a dream all along, I mean why would do even have such a dream. The only explanation for having such a dream was if I was thinking about Exalia or if she would soon be back from the Lunari.Day by day, I missed my Luna more and more and I couldn’t wait for her return. As I sat on my bed, thinking about the dream I just had, my inner wolf suggested that it could probably be a sign that Exalia would soon return. If this was true, then that was a very good sign and who was I to argue with my inner wolf. It had never led me astray and it would never do that. I sat on my bed and sleep had alr

Alex’s pov.As Tatiana left my room, I kept on wondering what was wrong with her, because this wasn’t the Tatiana I knew. This behavior she had just exhibited was very strange and alarming, I had never seen this side of her ever before.Could it be that she had been lusting after me for a long time now and she hadn’t told me because of Exalia? And now that Exalia was not around, was she trying to use the opportunity to seduce me and lure me into making her my Luna?I kept on pondering and wondering, why on earth would Tatiana behave in the way and manner she just did?I sat on my bed and sighed, then I took a deep breathe and reached for a glass cup on the other side of the bed. I wanted to drink some water, as I took the jar and poured it into the glass cup, I felt a soft pain in my stomach.I ignored the pain and drank the water but the pain still continued drinking, but the pain lingered on.“What’s this now?” I murmured, taking off my shirt and holding my stomach tightly.I lay

My private apartment was the only place on this earth where I could truly cut off from the world and dive deep into the inner depths of my own mind and thoughts.Life wasn’t easy as an Alpha, I had said this countless times. There was a lot of burdens and responsibilities to bear and anyone who was not was not strong would totally collapse.I loved meditating all the time, it was my own form of refuge, a way to connect with the wolf that was inside of me.A way for me to maintain the balance necessary to lead my people rightMy room was lit but only with soft glowing white candles. Their flames were mild, but they danced up and down as if they were going to go wild. I had started my meditation and yoga

Exalia’s povMorning came and its light was gentle. The morning lights filtered through the reeds of my chamber window and it cast beautiful and artistic patterns across the floor. I was awed by the beauty of nature as I looked at it.I was still tired and the memory of my dream was still in my head, so I just lay there for a moment and thoght about everything. As I thought about my dream, I prayed for it to come to pass, and it was not just for the sake of my own longing to go back home to meet my Alex, but also for the sake of peace between Lunari and my pack. The dream I had last night was not just a wish, the dream felt more like a vision as if it was a destiny that I could personally shape.I stood up from my bed and the urgency to share this dream was all that bothered me.I wanted to make it real and turn it into a reality, because it was the sole purpose of why I was even in the Lunari kingom.I rinsed my face with water, and I left my room to go look for Eldric,he needed to h
