The Annoying Man

Alexander opened the car door for me as he said, "Please come in, Little Princess."

I was still staring at the man who was smiling at me with distaste. Of all the people who could have picked me up, why did it have to be Alexander? I mean, Alexander is the CEO of Grandpa's company, he should be so busy that he wouldn't have time to do something as trivial as picking me up.

"Why do you keep looking at me? I know that I'm handsome ...."

Not wanting to listen to Alexander's nonsense any longer, I quickly got into the car and slammed the door hard. After fastening the seat belt, I decided to lean back against the car seat while closing my eyes to endure the heartache that kept lodging inside me. The quiet atmosphere in the car made it easier for me to recall the memories that were scattered in my mind about my time with Sebastien. I hate it like this, that bastard doesn't deserve to live in my head. I will completely erase every trace of him from my life. After being able to think more clearly, my eyes opened, then glanced briefly at Alexander who seemed very focused on the road in front of him

Alexander Volkovich has been following Grandpa for thirteen years and is Grandpa's confidant. Grandpa even entrusted the management of his company to Alexander by giving him the position of CEO three years ago, just the day before I ran away from Grandpa's mansion.

The reason I left was not because I was jealous of Alexander getting a high position, but because Grandpa wanted to marry me off to Alexander. The arranged marriage made me feel like property that could just be handed over to Alexander. Another reason was that I was still very naive and thought that I would find a man who loved me the way my father loved my mother. However, what I got was Sebastien.

Ah shit, I'm thinking about that asshole again.

Alexander's car was parked in the basement of Aero Hotel, one of the hotels that was a subsidiary of the Mourinho Group managed by Alexander. Before I opened the car door, Alexander, who had gotten out first, opened it for me. I don't know when that cold man became such a gentleman. However, no matter what he did I would never be attracted to him.

No, it's not that Alexander is unattractive. Physically, his looks are above average. I'm sure he has the looks that are often described as those of a Greek God in romance novels. His body was tall with fibrous muscles in all the right places. His jaw was firm and his chin had a cleft at the end. His hair was always styled neatly, although sometimes I felt the urge to mess it up. And the most beautiful thing about him was his eagle-sharp blue eyes that if you looked closely you would see a mixture of emerald and amber there.

"Tonight we stay at the hotel, tomorrow morning we leave for New York," Alexander said, breaking my reverie.

I followed him into the elevator and just nodded. We exited on the twenty on the floor, then he escorted me to one of the suites. It wasn't the room I usually stayed in when I visited the Aero Hotel with my Grandpa. I had always used the Royal Suite. However, I didn't mind if it was just an ordinary Deluxe room because the thing I wanted to do now was to sleep to forget about my troubles today.

"Why are you still here? Go to your own room," I snapped at Alexander who hadn't left my room yet.

"This is my room," he replied briefly.

I folded my arms in front of my chest while rolling my eyes. "Oh my God, if this is your room, what did you bring me here for? Look, I did agree to go back to my Grandpa and agreed to all his terms, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to sleep with you. So, get rid of your perverted thoughts!"

Alexander responded to my words with a rather loud laugh, making me even more annoyed with him. However, my cheek instantly warmed up and it was probably now as red as a boiled crab when Alexander said, "I don't know what's going through your mind, Little Princess. In case you forgot, the suite has two rooms. I'll let you use the main room and I'll use the other room."

I just froze in my place as if I had just been caught committing a grave sin. Meanwhile, Alexander walked closer to me, then bent down until his face was very close to mine.

"So get rid of your perverted thoughts," he said, imitating my tone.

Feeling very embarrassed, I turned around and immediately looked for my room.

"Little Princes, that's my room. I know you're dying to sleep with me, but just wait a little longer until we get married."

My hands clenched into fists and my jaw hardened in anger. However, I could do nothing but stare at Alexander fiercely with the intention of killing him. As I walked into my supposed room, I could hear the man's laughter mocking me.

"Ahh, damn it! How embarrassing," I screeched as I threw myself onto the soft bed.

After the heartbreak and anger caused by Sebastien, I didn't think I would be able to sleep that night. I had thought that I might cry all night to let out my sadness and disappointment. Here I was, waking up to the early morning sun, standing on the balcony of the hotel enjoying the view of the city as it bustled in the morning with breakfast already served on the table on the balcony. Perhaps I should thank Alexander for distracting my mind with his annoying behavior.

"Good morning, Little Princess."

I looked back and found Alexander leaning against the open balcony door wearing only his red satin kimono pajamas that were untied, exposing his muscular chest in a beautiful plaid as if it was a sculpture perfectly sculpted by a maestro.

"Are you enjoying the beautiful scenery, Little Princess?"

"Of course, it's a beautiful morning," I said honestly, considering that today I didn't have to think about what breakfast to prepare for Sebastien and his family. I didn't have to worry about what household chores to do first.

Alexander smiled a little, then said, "Yes, I'm sure this is your first time seeing the sight of a man's body as beautiful as mine, isn't it?"

Forget it, I'll never say thank you to that annoying man.
