I stood there, my eyes fixed on my reflection, trying to make sense of what I had done. I had promised myself that I would never go back to Jordan, that I would never again betray Tristan's memory. But here I was, standing in the bathroom of the cottage, feeling like I had made a huge mistake.

I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down. I had to think clearly, to figure out what to do next. I couldn't stay here with Jordan, not after what we had done. But I couldn't just leave, either. I had to face him, to tell him that I had made a mistake, that I couldn't do this.
