7. Helena's Decision

“So, you don’t mind staying here?” Helena asked Philip who was packing his things in his room.

Philip turned to the girl sitting on the bed's edge. “Why? You’re not happy?”

“It’s not like that,” Helena answered quickly, making Philip chuckle. “I just, well, a little… mind,” the girl admitted later.

Of course, Helena would mind because it was also a challenge for the girl. Even now, she was trying her best not to lunge at Philip and hug his body and tell him that she was glad he was there.

“I can’t argue with you, Auntie, you know that,” Philip said and turned to face Helena. “So just accept it. I’ll take good care of you.”

Helena sighed tiredly.

Helena knew that Philip would take good care of her, even better than her ex-husband. However, there was one thing that made Helena always want to stay away from Philip, her burning and forbidden feelings.

A knock on the door made them turn and find Serena in the doorway.

“Sorry to interrupt,” Serena said as she walked over to the two of them.

Philip turned his head and stopped packing his things before continuing.

“Are you going?” Helena asked, noticing her aunt’s neat appearance.

“You’re very observant, Na,” Serena said with a chuckle.

Serena then sat down beside the girl. She glanced at Philip’s room for a moment, making sure that Philip felt comfortable there.

“Are you comfortable here?” Serena asked Philip. The man had finished packing his things.

“Yes,” Philip answered confidently, taking a chair near him because he felt that his aunt wanted to say something.

“A bit far from Helena’s room,” the woman said.

This time Philip didn’t answer.

The room Philip chose was on the second floor. There was a hallway leading inside, that’s where Philip’s room was, in the south room. While Helena’s room was near the second-floor stairs.

“This is still enough,” Philip replied. However, he had to keep a safe distance from Helena.

“Okay.” Serena didn’t question it anymore.

“So, is Aunt going?” Helena asked to be sure.

Serena nodded her head.

“Yes. I will go home, and stay there for an indefinite period,” Serena replied.

Helena’s eyes widened.

“What do you mean? Isn’t this your home too?” The girl disagreed.

Serena stared at her niece deeply, then took the girl’s hand and rubbed the back of her hand deeper.

“Yes, I know. But, this is a house inherited from Grandpa which was then passed on to your father. I do have a share, but after all, I married an outsider, so automatically my ownership rights here are not as strong as your father’s,” Serena explained then sighed. “So I want you to take care of this house for me, Helena,” she continued.

Helena fell silent.

“I’ve lived here for a long time, now I’ll leave it to you. I want to be with the children and your uncle. But of course, I’ll come often. Besides, our houses are only ten minutes away, not too far.”

“However, still. I want you here,” Helena said quickly.

Serena shook her head.

“You have to be independent. Besides, there’s Philip too, right?”

Helena glanced at Philip. Of course, there was that man, but if her aunt wasn’t around, could Helena control herself?

“Never mind. I can’t go far away from you, and leave a spoiled princess like you,” Serena said, changing her tone to her usual firm tone. “Anyway, I’ll go home, and come by often to make sure you’re okay. Philip will guide you here, and so will I. We’ll work together to protect what we have.”

Sighing harshly, Helena nodded her head because she knew there was no point in stopping her aunt from leaving. Besides, she was an adult so Helena thought it would be fine. Besides, Philip wasn’t just anyone.

“Alright.” The girl then decided.

“Good. I’ll tell Camelia so she can come over often too. That girl is starting to get out of control, you know what she’s like,” Serena said.

Helena laughed remembering her little sister who loved beauty and cosmetics so much.

“I’ll make that girl my makeup artist,” Helena said. Serena laughed. While Philip just shook his head.

Serena's expression then turned serious, her gaze straight at Helena.

"So, what are your plans with your ex-husband?" A question that was quite freezing.

Helena fell silent upon hearing her aunt's question.

"You have to act. I will contact a lawyer. Anyway, you have to process your divorce as soon as possible. If you can't take care of it, I will take care of it for you," explained Serena. That was the purpose of her arrival, which was just small talk. Serena wanted to make sure her niece was separated from her ex-husband.

No response from Helena was thinking about the story of her household for three years. Even though she had been kicked out inappropriately, insulted, and accused of having an affair, Helena still loved Jimmy and respected her mother-in-law at that time.

"I will make sure you sign it. You just need to be quiet, and practice so that you can take control of the company. I will not tolerate any rejection from you. So, get ready." Serena said firmly, as usual. Helena knew that Serena's decision could not be withdrawn, there was no point in stopping her.

"Alright. I'll decide, separately. However, I won't be able to come to the trial. So please take care of it," Helena finally said, holding back the love that was still left in her for Jimmy.

There was no smile from Serena, only a nod of her head in agreement with the decision that the girl forced.

"Good. You just need to be quiet and stay close to Philip. I'll take care of everything, so calm down and focus on your training," the woman said.

The girl nodded.

“Then, I’ll go now. If you need anything, let me or Philip know. Don’t hold back, and just do whatever you want to do. Except for one thing,” Serena said, making the girl look at her curiously. “Never see that man again. No matter what he or his family says.” That was Serena’s undeniable order.

No objection from Helena nodded her head. After all, Helena shouldn’t have met her ex-husband. However, after what happened, Helena thought Jimmy would find a way to beg her to come back.

Serena got up from her seat, looking at Helena who was still silent.

“That’s it. I’ll make sure everything is safe. So I hope you can cooperate with me, Helena,” Serena said.

“Okay. I’ll do it,” the girl replied.

“Good. Then, I’ll go now. Just call if you need anything.”

Helena nodded and stood up from her seat.

Doesn’t Serena know how to leave both of them even though they have different spaces? That desire is sometimes uncontrollable. The taste they have is too great.
