9. Coercion

Helena was silent on the sofa in the waiting room. The question surprised Helena quite a bit. The girl thought no one would know that she had ever been married.

"Are you okay?" Philip crouched in front of the girl while handing her a bottle of mineral water that he had opened.

The girl shook her head and accepted the bottle of drinking water from Philip and drank it.

"No," the girl answered then. "I'm surprised," she said.

Philip took the bottle from her hand and listened.

"Do you want to go home now?" Philip asked.

Helena nodded while looking at the man standing there.

The door to the waiting room opened, and Serena entered with a red face that looked very angry. Several people followed the woman in.

"Do something so they don't find out. And immediately call Lawyer Hong, I'll talk about something," said Serena ordering her assistant. The young man who was Serena's assistant immediately moved quickly after receiving the order.

Serena's breath rose and fell quickly, her anger peaking. Philip approached while giving her another bottle of water. After Serena accepted the bottle, Philip guided her to sit down and calm down.

Helena didn’t speak, just silently watching her aunt calm down. After so long, this was the first time Helena had seen her aunt angry, and she knew why.

“Are you okay, Helena?” Serena asked after she had calmed down.

“Yes. I’m fine now,” the girl replied.

“That’s good. Sorry about earlier,” Serena said, looking at her niece.

“No. You don’t need to apologize, Auntie. I know, it was just a question from a reporter who didn’t know anything,” Helena said soothingly.

The woman nodded.

“You go home. That’s all for now. I’ll let you know if anything happens,” Serena said.

No protest from Helena nodded her head. Besides, there was no point in staying there. Besides, Helena hadn’t fully entered the business world yet. This was just an introduction.

“Then, I’m sorry to bother you, Auntie,” Helena said as she prepared to leave.

“It’s okay. You just rest at home. I’ll call you later.” Serena hugged the girl for a moment.

They left the room together. Some said that reporters were still waiting outside the building to ask further questions, and it seemed like they were not satisfied with the answers given earlier.

Serena sighed. That was beyond their plan.

“It’s okay. I’ll take care of Helena,” Philip assured his aunt who also looked confused and upset.

Serena looked at Philip and nodded.

“Okay. I’ll fend off the reporters, you go home and take care of Helena for me,” Serena said.

Philip nodded his head.

“Let’s go.” Philip took Helena’s hand and prepared to leave from there via another route that the man knew.

Helena didn't say much because she was still shaken by the question. The girl remembered the incident at her ex-husband's house. Even though it was only a few days ago, the incident still made Helena nauseous.

Taking another route to avoid reporters who were chasing Helena for unpleasant news. Philip held the girl's hand gently and reassuringly. They didn't rush because the girl's thoughts and feelings were still uncertain. However, they didn't expect that the route they chose was not a safe one. There was someone there who seemed to be waiting for Helena.

"Helena." The voice greeted her with a worried face, making the girl look up. "Thank goodness you're here. Let's go home. Reporters are everywhere," Jimmy continued as he approached Helena and held her hand without asking, without feeling guilty at all as if nothing had ever happened.

Helena roughly pushed the man's hand away. "What are you doing here?" Helena asked in a cold tone.

"What's wrong? Let's go home, I'll take care of you," said Jimmy who seemed not to see Philip there and instead coaxed Helena.

"No. Let me go." Helena confirmed then stepped back.

"Helena?" Jimmy changed his facial expression to sad with the girl's treatment. "Let's go home. I can't go home without you," said the man.

The girl sneered sarcastically at Jimmy's words.

"Why? Your mother will kick you if you don't succeed in bringing me back?" Helena answered sharply and sarcastically.

"Yes. You know how my mother is. So, let's go home and talk properly at home?"

Hearing that, Helena laughed which made the two men look at her. Philip just watched silently because he knew how Helena was. While Jimmy looked a little surprised. The next second Helena's facial expression was so flat, completely foreign to Jimmy.

"Who do you think made me make that decision? Do you think I would have left if I hadn't been kicked out inappropriately? No! I will never return to that house again." Helena confirmed.

Jimmy was silent for a moment because he realized that. But how his mother urged Jimmy to pick up Helena again left him no choice because he knew how his mother didn't want to lose.

"So, let's go home, I will apologize and prostrate if necessary," said Jimmy. "I'll do anything for you if you come back. Let's talk."

"No!" Helena snapped in a loud voice that made Jimmy a little surprised because it was the first time seeing Helena like that. "Are you deaf? I said no, so no! Tell your mother, I'm not going back to that house. I don't care if you get beaten at her hands just because I don't want to go back. It's your fault." Helena then squeaked.

"But -"

“Let’s go, Brother Philip.” Helena persuaded Philip to leave rather than having to deal with Jimmy who kept persuading her to go home.

Helena had just passed the man’s body but Jimmy managed to stop the girl by holding her hand.

“I won’t let you go,” Jimmy said with a sharp gaze. “Let’s go home.”

However, Philip roughly pushed Jimmy’s hand away and stood in front of the man.

“Helena said no, she meant she didn’t want to. Stop being a loser, it’s so disgusting,” Philip said for the first time speaking after the meeting earlier.

Grabbing Helena’s hand again and trying to take the girl away from there but again Jimmy stopped Helena by blocking her again and holding the girl’s hand again. Philip quickly threw his punch before the man said something to persuade Helena again.

“Damn it!” Jimmy cursed after straightening his body which was staggering from receiving a sudden punch from Philip.

Jimmy also quickly returned Philip’s punch which hit the man’s right jaw. They then got into a fight that made Helena confused and panicked.

“Stop!” the girl shouted, and Philip stopped his movement but was instead used as a decisive attack by Jimmy who slammed his punch hard into Philip until the man fell to the floor. Helena glared and immediately stood in front of Philip to protect him.

Jimmy's movement stopped, and his breath hitched.

"What are you doing? Are you crazy?" Helena stared at Jimmy angrily.

"I wouldn't have done it if he didn't start it," Jimmy said while pointing at Philip who was still sitting on the floor and catching his breath.

"You blame him?" Helena couldn't believe it and snorted. "If only you hadn't forced him, he wouldn't have done it. That's what I don't like about you. You force yourself and never listen to what I say. It's disgusting. So tell your mother not to appear in front of me again." Helena emphasized once more then turned to help Philip stand up.

"But Helena..." Jimmy closed his mouth tightly as the girl gave him a sharp and sharp look. After helping Philip stand up, Helena left the man alone.
