Gilbert was bewildered and lost of the right thing to do. He was transfixed by the astonishment.

“Who will not be afraid of Sgt. Young even in his absence?” He asked himself and sat down.

He watched the video to the end and discovered that it was in repeat mode.

“Sgt. Young is a smooth operator who can kill silently,” he said and felt for Laura despite their bickering.

In the toilet, Laura wept bitterly for about an hour before she composed herself and walked back to the office but could not look at Gilbert's face. She believed that he was happy over her plight.

At The Accident Scene

Tim had been monitoring Hope's movements. He saw him at the accident scene watching the burnt trucks like the other onlookers with a pretentious awe.

“One would think he is a beggar and offer to help him,” he murmured and walked out of the house.

“Get ready, Richard. We are going to the accident scene.”

“Okay, Boss,” he responded and put his handgun into his breast pocket and held his rifle firmly. Befor

With their gentleman's agreement, Hope opened up, “We have been here for more than two weeks. Since the country helped Savannah to defeat the South Coast, the President contracted us to bring down the Head of Gen. Felix Richmond.”“We are here on the same mission. I have been here for two years after Gen. Sidney McDonald and his men massacred their enemies during the last war. The easiest way to achieve that is by enrolling as a student in their most prestigious academy and it has paid off. As you can see, I have penetrated them. They trusted me so much.”“Yes. You have achieved a lot for yourself. To enter the Headquarters without restrictions is not a child's play,” Hope stated. He continued his story and they listened attentively.“I'm glad that you have seen things for yourself. His retirement from the military was caused by me. The new General and the Third in Command is my ally and with you by my side, it is time to strike.”“Ha! You have achieved a lot. You have our support.”“T

Gilbert answered but Laura did not and the Secretary attributed it to a lack of home training. Capt. Jaja moved swiftly to the President's door but Gilbert stopped him.“The President is not in his office,” he informed him.“Oh, no! Where has he gone to?”“He stepped out,” Gilbert who thought that he was still in the complex, answered forthwith. The Captain furrowed his brow and said, “It's all right. I will wait for him.”He walked to the couch and sat down while Mary did the same thing. At that point, they looked at the television and could not decipher the program that was playing out. However, the secretary was able to connect the dots after watching her first and second comments. (It serves him right. Idiot. He thinks he is the President.)(Shame on you, Sgt. Young. I have reapplied and must be retained. Idiot.)Instantly, she looked at Laura who could not look up from her desk, and suddenly began to laugh. To avoid disrespecting her Boss, she got up at once.“Excuse me, Boss,” s

George was openly troubled and was close to tears. With his shaky voice, he asked, “What do you want to do?”“I will invite him over to Canterbury,” Tim said and locked eyes with him His statement weakened George and he felt like going into hiding. He fought back his tears and Tim waited for him to speak. After some seconds he found his bearings.“Why do you want to invite him to our country? He will fish me out and kill me.”“No. He can't. I'm inviting him over so that you will single-handedly crush him.”“No, Boss. I cannot crush a long-standing General like him,” he stated with sweat on his forehead.“You can. Remember that you said that you will not hesitate to crush all of them if he dares you.”“Yes. I said so. But …”“But what? Has he not dared you by wanting to kill you with two trucks?” Tim emphasized and he was mute.Without waiting for his opinion, he continued, “If you don't kill him, the world will assume that you are a coward and kill you. Are you a coward?”Now, Tim's w

He will put on a boot with iron studs and kick him until he dies.” “No. He will not let him die. That would save him much trouble. He should live and see how a Sergeant from Canterbury beat him to a stuporHis proposal was pleasant to Tim and he acknowledged it.“I have not thought about it. His blood will contaminate our soil.”“I'm glad that you got it. And it would be on record that he died in our country. That is a great honor to his biography.”“I got it, Your Excellency.”“Good. “I became panicky when I learned that there would be a written test.”“I almost fainted. Thank God that it had come and gone.”“You are right. It's only a dunce who would not scale through the test.”“That is a fact.”Although her name was not mentioned in their chat she was conscience-stricken and wished that she could pick anything that had to do with her and talk back at them. When she found none, she cursed them all the same, “Idiots. How can you say that it is only a dunce who will fail? Are those questions simple? I don't even know how the knucklehead Tim answered the question.”Meanwhile, Capt. Bolton had not taunted George over his discovery in his office the previous day.“It's good that you are here, Sgt. “I think you should take a break. You need to rest.”Laura was mute with a hopeless look. Then, her mother elucidated.“You can check on him and request for the contact of the new President.”Her mother's idea offered her a ray of hope and her face beamed with pleasure.“You have a good point, Mom. If he gives me the new President's contact, I will let him know everything that had gone wrong in the office.”“That is good. You will vilify all those who had ruined your integrity before his Representative.”“You got it, Mom. I will begin with Stephanie.”“That's right. Don't spare the Representative either. You are the right person to represent your boss until he resumes.”“Yes. I will do that.”Afterward, she cheered up and got up from the bed while her mother returned to her apartment. At The Mount Olive Village(It is not a bad idea. I will give it a thought. “Talk to us. What is the matter?” Her father persuaded her.“He gave me Tim's number,” she said with a hoarse voice.“Oh, my God! He said many things and concluded with, "Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, a new Mount Olive. It is a Dukedom that will surpass other Dukedoms in Canterbury."The other Dukes grinned at his boastful remarks and said, "Don't be too sure."He laughed softly and continued. "After ...""He is laughing like Oliver," one of the Dukes pointed out."Not just that. The voice sounds like his," another Duke responded."After we close, the dignitaries, my fellow Dukes, and elders will join me at my palace for lunch," the old man continued and confused them all the more."His palace? Where is it?" One of the eight elders asked his fellow Duke."The palace of course. Oliver's house.""Is it that dilapidated house?""Yes. Is it not better than going to Harry's house?""That killer? I wouldn't have gone ""You got it," the other admitted. The old man looked at the audience and said, "The others will have their lunch in this hall. I hope you are not offended?"He paused and waited for their reac

The question raised uproar among the youths who cheered up at once and shouted simultaneously, "Me."Just like a magic wand, the hall was electrified and the dignitaries were happy."It is good to know that all of you can. The first two people to get here will have the Mic," he stated.Despite the number that he mentioned, the youths walked briskly to the stage. In a jiffy, there were ten of them on the stage."Ha!" I want only two," he looked at their happy faces and stated. Then, he faced the excited audience and asked, "How do I drum the excess out?""By balloting," some shouted. The old man could imagine how they would feel if they were evicted and he intervened, "Permit all of them to perform.""Wow!" The ten youths shouted and appreciated him one after the other, "Thank you, Your Grace.""Thank you, Our Great Duke."He waved at them by way of response and they faced the host."Now, let us see you perform."At that point, Fabian was thrilled and wished to get back to the stage an

The Duke paused his goodwill message and looked at the big screen like the others. The film began when the elders, especially Elder Kefas, claimed that the building belonged to their brother.Such a claim did not go down well with the citizens because they were aware that they were sworn enemies."Your brother indeed," some murmured. It also showed how a fearful-looking woman was crawling and begging for her husband's corpse. "Hey!" They screamed when the building collapsed and someone screamed. They continued watching, and one of the Duchesses, who had been silent, spoke to her husband, "They did not even bother to take him to the hospital.""You are right. They are asking for his corpse because they are aware that they killed him," another person added."Can you imagine that? They were just waiting for him to die," another duchess said."And after his precious stone.""Hey!" The audience screamed when Elder Kefas and others admitted that they were praying for the Duke to die.Befor

Harry felt that he must nip the problem in the bud and called Tim again. The Dukes who must obey, began to file out of their seats. At that point, Tim's phone rang again and he decided to answer the caller before the Dukes would get to the podium. He brought out his phone quickly from his cross bag and looked at the caller.“Is he insane? Why is he calling me?” He asked himself angrily. To stop him from disturbing him again, he resolved to pick up the call and put things right.“Hello. How may I assist you?” He asked him.“Hello, Officer. Kindly inform the Head of State that things are going wrong in Mount Olive. You can come over and see things for yourself.”“What is going wrong if I may ask?”“The Minister wishes to install a fake Duke. You have to come over and stop …”“You are the fake Duke,” he interrupted him and declared. Before he could express his shock, Tim cut the call and focused on the installation. Meanwhile, to get a proper view of the podium, Richard got out of the b

He shook his head negatively and said, “I don't know him.”Meanwhile, Cassie was monitoring them, and when he saw Cpl. Simpson assumed that he was aware of what he was doing and relied on his judgment. He signaled to him to ask if they were set and he nodded. Cassie was pleased and continued, “His Excellency, the Head of State represented by the Minister of Culture, the President of the Auxiliary Armory PLC, the Senior Police Officer among us, ladies and gentlemen, kindly stand up and honor the Duke as we usher him in.”Before the bewildered audience could protest, the Minister and President were already standing. They stood up, too, and looked on.The host faced the police band and signaled them to give them soft music and they complied. At the entrance door, the eight Dukes were distraught with the disorganized situation and wished that they would be allowed to leave. Meanwhile, the elders could not decide what to do, especially with the presence of the soldiers around them.“Usher

Tim smiled broadly and waited for him to alight from his vehicle.“Good morning, Lt. Col. Swanson,” Richard and the other soldiers saluted him.He returned the salute and gave Tim a nod. He smiled at him and instructed, “Ask your secretary to get the hard copy of the program from the event planner.”“I got it, Boss,” he said and informed his secretary. The secretary moved at once. The speaker picked offense and scolded him, “Watch your tongue. How dare you insult me. Have you hosted one before?”“Of course. Do you think that I am a village man like you,”A foul mouth deserves a slap. Unexpectedly, the last speaker got two slaps on his cheeks."Hey!" He shrieked in pain and pounced on the enemy.“Stop,” the other youths shouted and tried to separate the fight. They should not have bothered because the soldiers were all over the place. They whipped them mercilessly and shouted, “Go home. All of you." Unfortunately, all of them were whipped, and the innocent ones felt bad. They began to run and rub their backs at the same time. Saturday At The Mining Field Valentine could not ask for any other life from his present one. He was so occupied with so many responsibilities that he hardly had time for himself, and he loved it so.
