“It is all right. I'm glad that he got what he deserved. A small country has defeated him,” Bright pointed out.

“I'm happy that you are seeing it that way. What would you have done if you knew that I was attacked?”

George's question took him unawares but he answered based on his emotions, “I would have killed him with my bare hands.”

“Ha! Can you kill a Field Marshal with your bare hands?”

Bright recalled himself and only laughed. He left afterward and George gave his visit a thought.

“What has changed? Cecilia never loved my dad and me but Ella loved him unconditionally while Bright and others love me too.”

After Ella left the old man, she was encumbered with how to break the news of additional soup for George.

“I hope the Supervisor will understand,” she mumbled and got out of the bus.
