“Yeah It's a promise” Laura retorted, and she ended up with the phone conversations,

Meanwhile, Clifton stood besides his father's holding the doctor's drugs prescription, he didn't know where to get the money to get the drugs,

Laura moves closer the Clifton, and asked, “are you his son?“

“Yeah, the only son” Clifton retorted,

“Are you the doctor Incharge?“ Clifton asked,

“No, I unknowingly hit him with my car yesterday” Laura explained, and tears was streaming down from her eyes, and she was wiping away tears with her hands,

“It's okay, let me go and look for money, because the doctor gave this drugs prescription, and he said I should get It before three hours” Clifton explained,

“Let me see the prescription” Laura said, and she collected the prescription from Clifton, and she went through It , “come with, let's go and get It” Laura said,

Two of them leave the hospital, and walked Into the parking lot where they entered Into Laura's car and she drove to the pharmacy she bought all the prescriped drugs, and she beverages In addition, and the returned to the hospital,

Laura thought there Is going to be problems, but family were nice people, and when they see that Mr Morgan will soon recover,

The old man's family thank the doctor, and also thanked Lauren for bringing him to the hospital and showing so much concern for him.

"I'm just glad he's going to be okay," Lauren said. "I'll do anything to make up for what I did."

Lauren visited the man every day in the hospital, talking to him and bringing him flowers and books to read. They became close friends, and Lauren helped the man during his recovery by taking him on walks and keeping him company around the hospital.

"Thank you so much for everything," the man said to her one day. "You have been a lifesaver, and I don't know what I would do without you."

"I just want to make things right," Lauren replied. "I'm so sorry for hitting you."

"It's okay," the man said, holding her hand. "It was an accident, and we can't change the past. But you have been so kind and caring to me, and that's what matters now."

Lauren learned that accidents happen, and what is important is that we act with compassion and empathy towards those affected. She realized that even when we make mistakes, we can make things right by showing kindness, care, and love towards others,

“thank you sir, but, I won't be able to come tomorrow, but unfailingly, I will come on Sunday Immediately after worship hours” Laura said,

“Alright, no problems, take care of yourself” Mr Morgan said,

Laura left the hospital, and she returned home, while Clifton was at the hospital taking care of his dad,

The following, Laura woke up early, she bath, dressed up and she left home early to the family gathering because of the distance,

Laura felt uncomfortable as she walked into the crowded room filled with all her female relatives. All of them had brought along their significant others, and Laura had come alone. She knew what was coming next. "Hey, Laura! Where's your husband?" her aunt exclaimed as she approached her.

Laura forced a smile and replied, "I don't have one yet."

Her aunt looked surprised and confused. "What about your boyfriend? Don't tell me you're still single?"

Laura sighed and replied, "Yes, I am."

Her cousin, who was standing next to her aunt, chimed in, "But you must have someone in your life, right? A partner, maybe?"

Laura shook her head and said, "No, I don't have a partner either. I came alone."

There was an awkward silence for a few seconds before her aunt spoke up again. "Oh, well, don't worry. You'll find someone soon. Maybe you should try online dating?"

Laura smiled politely and said, "Thanks for the suggestion, Auntie. I'll keep that in mind."

As the night went on, Laura was bombarded with the same questions over and over again. It made her feel frustrated and embarrassed. She wished people would understand that it was okay to be single and that it wasn't the end of the world.

After a while, Laura excused herself from the gathering, feeling drained and exhausted. She promised herself that the next time she attended a family event, she would be confident in her single status and wo

uldn't let anyone make her feel otherwise.

Laura had always felt a sense of unease whenever she attended family gatherings. The constant barrage of questions about her personal life was something she had grown used to over the years, but it never ceased to make her feel uncomfortable. As she walked through the door of her aunt's house, she was immediately greeted by a chorus of voices asking her where her husband was. It was a question that had become all too familiar to her, and one that she had never been able to answer satisfactorily.

"I'm not married," she replied, forcing a smile onto her face.

The response was met with a chorus of gasps and surprised looks. "What do you mean you're not married?" her aunt asked. "You're not getting any younger, Laura. You need to find yourself a good man before it's too late."

Laura felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment. She had heard this same speech from her family members countless times before, and it always made her feel like a failure.

"I'm perfectly happy being single," she said, trying to sound as confident as possible.

But her aunt wasn't convinced. "Don't be ridiculous," she said. "You need a man to take care of you. That's just the way it is."

Laura resisted the urge to roll her eyes. She knew that arguing with her family members about her personal life was pointless. They were set in their ways, and nothing she said would change their minds.

Instead, she made her way over to the food table and loaded up a plate with as much food as she could carry. She needed something to distract herself from the constant stream of questions and comments.

As she ate, she tried to focus on the food and block out the noise around her. But it was no use. The conversation had turned to the topic of marriage again, and Laura felt like screaming.

"You know, I have a friend who has a son around your age," her aunt said, nudging her with her elbow. "He's a doctor, and he's looking for a wife. I could set you two up."

"I'm not interested in dating right now." Her aunt sighed. "Well, suit yourself. But you're going to regret it one day, mark my words." Laura finished her plate of food and made her way to the door. She couldn't take it anymore. The constant pressure to settle down and get married was suffocating her. "Where are you going?" her cousin asked, as she grabbed her coat. "I have to go," Laura said, not bothering to hide the annoyance in her voice. "I have work tomorrow." Her cousin looked disappointed. "But we haven't even played any games yet." "I'm sorry," Laura said. "Maybe next time." As she left the house, she felt a wave of relief wash over her. She was finally free from the prying questions and judgmental comments. But as she walked to her car, she couldn't help but feel ashamed of h
