Pamala sniffed into her mother's shoulders crying. Her will to live reduced to a zero. She didn't want to go home, she wanted to die. Even die from her injuries, why had that strange werewolf helped her. He would have left her to her fate, death would have been better than this hellhole she was living in.
"You're bleeding way too much, Pam. We need to get you to the pack healer immediately." Kala panicked as she stared at Pamala's wounded neck that wasn't healing as fast as it should. She grew worried, fear and anxiety gripped her. Pamala was turning paler and her breaths were shallow."I don't want to go anywhere. I just want to stay here and die." She whispered."Please don't say that, there's more to life. We all need you, I need you to stay alive. Please don't give up now." Jade begged. She squat down to hold Pamala's hands. When she stared at her best friend, Jade saw that Pamala had lost all her sparkles, she seemed lost and tired. Her heart clenched and she swallowed the lump in her throat. How was Pamala ever going to survive a rejection."Go ahead and just live your lives! I don't want to be a part of this world anymore. It is too cruel Ma! He didn't even think twice before tossing me aside like a piece of rag. People look at me as if I disgust them! I am fat, ugly and wretched. I have no place in this world and I've decided to give it all up, can't you see Mama. Even the moon goddess deem us cursed. We are cursed!" She yelled, every word harsher than the next. Her father Luke, flinched. The words had hurt a great deal, she saw it from the expression on their faces, but she didn't care. No matter how they tried to hope or sugarcoat it. It'll always remain the truth, they were bound to suffering forever."I'm sorry." Her father whispered unable to meet her eyes. It was quiet between them, only the cold whispers of the night could be heard and the stench of blood could be smelt. She broke into a loud sob, it was heart wrenching and utterly painful to watch. She cried for the girl that was treated poorly all because of her status, she cried for the girl filled with insecurities, she cried for the girl that once hoped for love and a happy ever after, she cried for the girl whose dream was lost and crushed, she cried for herself."Why us?" Her mother whispered to the moon. Holding her daughters broken body in her arms , it had her shaking in tears, no one deserved to be treated so cruelly."Why have you decided to punish us. Why my daughter? She didn't deserve any of this!" She pointed to the moon aggravated. "You're not our goddess, you watch this things happen and do nothing. What kind of god are you?" She screamed to the moon. Her husband Luke tried to stop her from sprouting more obscenities but she didn't want to be stopped. She cursed the moon, she swore on it."Ma, please." Jade said. "We have to bring her to the packs healer immediately. I know you're angry, but Pamala needs urgent care." "Yes we have to go" Luke quickly added, lowering himself so Pamala could be placed on his back, he piggyback her as they walked out of the woods, having one final look at the rogues. All through the walk she didn't mutter a word, as much as it worried them they thought it was for good if she didn't say anything. After walking a distance the truck came in view, he was able to strap her in and they drove back to the pack in silence. Each buried in their own thoughts. A night that was supposed to be a change of destiny had turned out to be the worst night of their lives. They arrived at the pack clinic, taking her to an empty ward while the pack healer made to examine the gravity of the injury.Kala saw as they looked at them with curiosity and pity, she guessed immediately that word must have spread out so quickly about the ugly events of the night."The injuries are pretty severe, may I ask how she got them in the first place?" The healer asked Pamala's parents who were also inside the room with him."She got into a nasty fight with rogues during her run in the woods." Pamala mother answered truthfully. The healer seemed surprised, she looked at the unconscious girl on the bed as if trying to discern how she'd fought with rogues."She killed them?" The lady asked and kala nodded. Smiling wryly she proceeded to place her hands on the wounded flesh closing her eyes to concentrate using her gift. With a faint glow radiating from her palm the wounds began to close up and heal nicely until there was nothing left. When the healer was done, she looked tired and worn out."Thank you!" Luke bowed in sincerity."Of course but my services are not free, make sure to see the counter." she said."Of course we'll do that," kala quickly added. "She'll be fine, she just needs to rest, we'll give her the drip. Luckily she didn't lose too much blood, we wouldn't need a donor." The lady said and smiled politely. "Well excuse me" she walked away leaving them to Pamala."Will she be alright?" Jade asked in a small voice."She will. Why not you go home and rest Jade, you've done so much for us. Thank you." kala held the Young girl's hand in gratitude. She was emotional and teary eye at the show of love from jade."She's like my sister. I'm not doing anything special, it is what I should do." Jade said."Alright then. Go home and rest, your parents Will be worried." Luke added. The girl smiled before Saying a goodbye to them stopping at the door when she recalled something."Promise me you'll call me once she regains consciousness?" Jade asked and kala confirmed with a nod. Reluctantly she left. Kala and Luke stayed by their daughters bed all through as she was placed on a drip, she seemed to be running a fever and was having nightmares. They grew only more anxious. In Pamala's dream she'd seen herself walking down an aisle in what seem to be a temple, a sacred temple. There was nobody, only huge pillars that went all the way to the high ceiling. The long aisle was unending, she was patient, every stride drew her to something bigger and powerful. The windows had markings of the moon, both the full moon and half moon. There were a lot of carved images, she awed the more she saw.She saw eyes appear occasionally on the walls. They looked like eyes of werewolves in the wolf form ranging from different colors, they were watching her intensely. As she grew nearer she saw a woman in a white silk dress sitting on a throne. Her aura impelling. Her skin was fair, her black hair long and straight, she was so beautiful and powerful it hurt to look at. An air of nobility surrounded her. When she stood up from the throne Pamala gasped."Moon goddess."The woman had long cascading black hair, she wore a silk white dress with a beautiful train, crystals scattered across the dress. There were two pure white wolves on each side. She was majestic and out of this world.Pamala stood before her in wonder. She'd never seen someone so beautiful and ethereal. This definitely wasn't real."Pamala." She called out. The sound of her name sounded so soft and alluring, she should be kneeling in front this deity but she wasn't. She was staring at her unable to make out this situation, yet she was furious. "Moon goddess." She replied in disbelief. She really wasn't seeing a woman that had been talked about for generations. The moon goddess stood up from her throne she gave out her hand to her. Pamala stared at it in confusion."Come with me. Let me show you something." Her voice was gentle and calm, Pamala was hesitant at first but seeing the reassuring look on her face she took her hand. The minute she placed her palm within the goddesses, she w
At the Alpha's house.Damien clutched his chest, unable to breathe. It had been that way since he rejected his mate. The panic attacks were constant and terrible. It felt like a part of him died as well, but he would go though it, he would win and survive it. Many others did. It was better than having an ugly Omega for a mate. It'll be a shame and stain on him. After all he'll be Alpha soon, having an Omega for a Luna was terrible for the pack."He's burning up." His mother Jessica, the Luna of their pack said. She held the ice over his head as he shivered. She hissed in annoyance."This wasn't how I envisioned it to go." Alpha derrick said. He paced about with his hand on his chin thinking. "Why?" he asked no one in particular. "An Omega wolf," Then he laughed in amusement."Fat and ugly, it's a good thing he rejected her. He'll survive it, we don't want such a thing attached to our names. For goodness sake, why is he paired with an Omega of all wolves in the world. I still don't u
"She's stable, luckily you found her on time before she could bleed out. She didn't strike a fatal place, it could have been a lot worse. She needs a lot of psychological help. A Rejection is no joke" The doctor said to her parents. "Thank you Doctor. Thank you for saving her life" Kala thanked profusely. "She'll be conscious soon, stay with her so you're the first people she sees when she wakes up." "Thank you " her father added. The doctor left. Pamala could hear the faint sob of her mother, it broke her heart. She didn't want to wake and see this, that was why she needed to go a peaceful place. "Pamala. I'm so sorry, we couldn't protect you. We'll help you go through this." Her mother held her hands. "Don't cry, she'll be startled when she wakes up and see you crying " Mathew told his wife. Kala wiped her tears reluctantly. Pamala thought it was safe to open her eyes now, so she did slowly "mom," she whispered. "She's awake! Thank you goddess. Pamala, how are you feeling, doe
Two weeks passed like a blur, anxiety crippled Pamala. There were no other letters or threat. Whoever it was must have been bluffing, it was a silly trick. She didn't dwell too much on it. She was anxious about stepping outside, now the news of her Rejection had spread like wildfire she didn't want to people people throwing her looks of mockery or pity anywhere she went to, so she didn't go out at all. But it would be good to find a job and support her parents now that her hope for a mate was crushed. It was hard living, she felt like a shell. It hadn't gotten better but she was learning to cope with the pain."Pamala!" Jade screamed."What is it?" She groaned, using the pillow to cover her ear from the loud screaming. "Pam. Jade brought this wonderful idea to us" kala said excitedly. It woke her up instantly. She sat on the bed and saw that her entire family was there."Since it's a good day. The weather is bright and wonderful, you've not been outside for a while now, we've decided
Pamala followed the men and they got into the van, then they drove off. She couldn't even make out what they looked like. She was terrified for both herself and her parents. The situation wasn't good at all, someone had died. It won't be taking lightly at all. Her parents killed sentinels to protect her. But how many people will support them and say it was self defense. She sobbed quietly all through the ride, the men didn't pay heed to her. They arrived at the pack house, just like she had suspected. It was the alpha's doing, only he could send soldiers after her family but what was the reason. It was the same mansion that they came to before, there wasn't even anytime to admire it. She was in distraught. They dragged her roughly even when she didn't make any attempt to struggle or run. The insides were cold and null. She didn't understand how someone could live in here, it was beautiful but it lacked warmth of any sort. There was no noise, just the sound of her sobbing as the men
She expected cars to come chasing after them. But none came, the drive was quiet."Why are we not chased, what will happen to Damien if the alpha finds out he helped me escape " She asked, she hated the worry she felt. He didn't deserve it, but the bond make you feel stupid things "Nothing " The man replied barely glancing at her."Do you know where my parents are, please I'll like to see them for the last time " She said to him. He didn't reply, his eyes were focused on the road."Please, I don't mind seeing them from a distance I just want to make sure they are okay" She pleaded."I know you're not heartless. You're helping me run away, please help me see them I beg you, I won't cause any problems I just-""Just shut up! I'm only carrying out orders here" He yelled at her.She kept quiet, he shoulders fell in defeat, tears stung her eyes. When Pamala looked outside the window of the car, she still noticed the familiar building of her pack, she thought they were going to the borde
Pamala was relieved when she saw a tent from afar. Blue was a traveler indeed. She couldn't wait to get to the tent, her body was about to give up."Just a little more, you can do it." Blue told her. She forced herself to move until they finally made it. She got in and fell on the makeshift bed tiredly. Blue hurriedly shuffled through a bag as she removed some medicines and bandaids. She ripped the fabric of Pamala's jeans, dabbing the wound with spirit, Pamala cried in pain. She finished cleaning the wound and wrapping it in the gauge."You'll heal fine. You might scar, I'm sorry." Blue said. Pamala could barely mutter a word. "Rest in here for a bit. I'll hunt us breakfast and bring you water" Right after she said that she was out. Her head ached so bad, she was burning up. It was better to die than to live like this. She wished she would die from her injury. Her eyes closed, her breaths were quick and heavy. In her trance She saw that werewolf from the woods, the grey massive w
Omegas, the word had never tasted so bitter in his mouth. Alpha Derrick Stone frowned, as his Beta mentioned the name to him. His son Damien didn't look at all pleased."Do you understand it's my 20th birthday celebration, an extremely important day. A chance to find the most important person in my life a MATE! Now why will I want filthy beings in a party like that." Damien sneered in total disgust.Alpha derrick seemed to agree with his son's perspective on the matter. "Beta Moses, I don't agree to it, why should we invite omegas?"" I know as a Beta I have no right in matters like this, but look at it from my point of view. It'll show everyone that you're a fair and just leader, let's do something different. The pack will be pleased, the aristocrat may not, but this is a good idea. Several powerful men would be in attendance with their daughters, hoping that one may become the next Luna of this pack, some will come just for the sake of networking. This will show them that you do not

As Pamala dashed into the woods she howled into the night, the sight of the moon enraged her the most. She thrashed and rolled all over, using the nape of her neck to hit the trees in burning fury, She ran around in hope of exhausting herself and tiring her wolf, so as to reduce the gnawing feeling in her chest. She was relentless but it only made her more angry. Finally, she slowed down, slopping to the ground to whimper. The sound revealed how much pain she was in, she wanted to die right that moment. The moon goddess had let this sacrilege happen. Just when she was happy that something good was finally happening in her life, it ended up being another silly dream. She always thought she was destined for better, maybe finding a mate would change her fate for good. Pamala thought going to that party would make things different, but she had been humiliated, rejected and hurt. She was physically and emotionally bruised. She wanted to scream, vent it out and even hurt herself. The humil
