5. Valerian & Darius' Unexpected Meeting

Darius, focused on his work, had told Dr. Reina to report on Seraphina's condition after he finished examining her. He had just finished a meeting with HRD and the head of his office. He returned to the office to take Seraphina's place first. Suddenly, his cell phone lit up and there was a message notification from someone. Darius saw the message, which turned out to be from Doctor Reina.

Doctor Reina: Congratulations Mr. Darius, you are getting amazing support from your wife.

In his heart, Darius wondered what Dr. Reina meant. "I didn't marry Seraphina, what really happened?"

Darius, who didn't like being left hanging because he had to think for himself by guessing, decided to call Doctor Reina instead.

"Hello Doc. What did you mean in that message?" asked Darius directly, because he didn't like small talk.

Doctor Reina smiled on the other side that Darius couldn't see. "Your wife is pregnant, she is not sick, but nausea is very normal for a first pregnancy. To strengthen her immune system, I have given her vitamins and suggested some foods that pregnant women should consume."

Darius was completely taken aback by Doctor Reina's explanation. "Pregnant Doc? Are you sure?"

"Of course I'm sure, she already did a test pack with me. If you have any doubts, you can ask your wife directly."

"Okay, thanks for your help Doc. I will transfer the money."

"Yes, you're welcome."

Darius ended the call. He still couldn't believe Seraphina was pregnant. He wondered who had gotten Seraphina pregnant, because during the time he had lived in the same house with her, he had not had any sexual intercourse. Not even sleeping in the same room. Darius actually gave Seraphina facilities and asked for nothing in return to satisfy his desires. Darius had another purpose for using Seraphina.

"Is she pregnant with Valerian's child? If so, this will be very interesting," Darius murmured with a wide, mysterious smile.

Seraphina, on the other hand, decided to take a complete break. She had never expected to be pregnant with Valerian's child. She was really scared, what if Valerian found out that she was pregnant? Would he kill her child because he disliked her so much, besides just wanting to enjoy her body? Although Seraphina hated having Valerian's seed in her body, if it became a baby, Seraphina would not let the baby be killed. She would continue to defend and fight for it until it was born on this earth, and she hoped it would never find out who its father really was.

In the middle of her rest, Seraphina received an incoming call from Darius, because there was no one else's number she had saved besides Darius'. "Hello, Darius. What's up? I'm sorry I can't work, you must be very worried, huh? Especially since you have a scheduled meeting today. Is everything going well?" Seraphina asked first, while Darius could be heard sighing softly on the other side.

"Everything is fine. I just wanted to ask you, are you really pregnant with Valerian's child?"

He asked.

It seemed that the question made Seraphina's heart beat very fast.

"Relax, I won't tell Valerian if you're really pregnant," Darius continued, which made Seraphina feel relieved.

"Yes, I only found out when Doctor Reina told me, then I did a test with a test pack to make sure it wasn't true. But the truth is that I'm really pregnant. Are you angry with me?" asked Seraphina, biting her lower lip lightly.

"No, I just wanted to congratulate you. Even if the father is a cruel werewolf, you must love the baby. I'll help you take care of it," Darius said, making Seraphina cry.

"Thank you for all your kindness, I don't know how to repay you. You're very kind," Seraphina said sincerely.

Meanwhile, Darius could only smile. In his heart he said, "You can repay me by giving me the baby when it is born. Since I will kill all of Valerian's descendants, I will not let him rule this world.

Then Darius quickly replied, for Seraphina must be waiting for his answer. "It is better for you to rest now. Don't think too much, later I'll call the housekeeper to take care of your diet and give you pregnant milk."

"Thank you Darius, I only ask one thing of you, please keep my pregnancy a secret, I don't want Valerian to know that I am pregnant with his child." Seraphina said suddenly, she just wanted to keep the baby. She was afraid that Valerian would hurt her and the baby again.

"Of course, I promised to take care of you from everyone, including Valerian."

And then the call ended. Seraphina was relieved, she could rest in peace.

On the other hand, Valerian kept thinking about Seraphina. He wondered why Seraphina kept disturbing his thoughts. He couldn't concentrate on his work, even when someone came into his room, he couldn't recognize their presence.

"Sir, here are the documents you requested," his assistant said again after talking to Valerian several times.

"Okay, thank you." Valerian accepted the document with a heavy sigh.

From the look on his face, Marcho could tell that Valerian was burdened with several problems that Marcho might not know about. Besides the amount of work and the recent loss of the girls, Valerian had become unfocused at work.

"Is there anything else you need, boss?" Marcho, still standing there, asked Valerian.

Valerian lifted his head and shook it slowly.

"Well, I'll go back to my office. Don't forget you have an appointment with a client from London at three in the afternoon."

"Yes, you can call me an hour before."

Marcho nodded his understanding and left Valerian's office.

"Should I send someone to find out about Seraphina?" muttered Valerian to himself.

At exactly two in the afternoon, Valerian decided to leave his office. Marcho had prepared all the documents they would need, as well as the private car they would use.

"Marcho, do you have any acquaintances who can work for me to find out important information?" Valerian asked Marcho, who rode beside him.

"There is a boss, I'll contact him if you need him." Marcho replied firmly.

"Yes, contact him immediately and make an appointment to meet with me as soon as possible."

Marcho nodded quickly, actually he was curious what information his boss was looking for? But he didn't dare to ask Valerian, who was in as bad a mood as he was.

Arriving at the restaurant where he had made an appointment with his client, Valerian accidentally bumped into Darius. Both are aware of each other's presence. Something made Valerian curious about the meaning of Darius' look, which seemed to challenge him. But Valerian tried to control his emotions, he didn't want to provoke a scene in such a public place.

"He also seems to have just had an appointment with someone here. Are you going to take revenge on him for having the audacity to release all your prisoners, boss?"

"His business later, don't talk about it here." Then Valerian walked quickly to the table he had reserved, where his guests were not yet present, as he and Marcho had arrived earlier than the promised time.
