Chapter 61

**Michael's POV**

“Who's there?” I asked as I walked through the deserted valley, but the response I got was silence. The silence gave off an eerie feeling, and the fact that I had no idea about where I was worsened it.

I was barefooted and the ground was cold, making me shiver a bit.

“Anybody?” I yelled into the night, but my voice echoed back to me.

With a sigh, I decided to keep going, even though I had no idea about my destination. It seemed like I had walked for hours, but it was only for a second. I could feel my legs giving out and my body becoming weak.

I looked ahead and saw a figure standing and looking in my direction. Happy that I had indeed found a savior; someone that would take me out of here, I summoned strength and rushed to the person. As I hit closer, I realized that it was a woman, but her face wasn't obvious, so I decided to keep going. Whoever she is, she might know a way out of here.
