Amante POV

“I would not take that as a warm welcome. I came here to challenge Takif. He dared abduct my mate, Allyssa Lausanne of Oracle Aswang Clan. I would take his head back up on the surface for his insolence!”

I uttered those words with much contempt on that fish. I do not care whether I offended that merman who spoke to me. My heart was burning with the desire to murder anyone who would dare get in the way of me from having my lusted revenge.

“What made you think I was abducted and did not come here willingly to stay with Takif?”

I turned around to see Allyssa, my mate, hand in hand with whom I could only assume to be Takif. She wears a stern expression on her face. Her stares were as cold as the freezing surroundings we were in.

Takif does not have a resembling physical appearance with the other merfolk. This was the first time I took a careful scrutinizing on

I was with her the whole time, remember?”Amaltheo was urging me to fight for my life, the despicable life I was willing to throw away. I could still feel Takif’s webbed hands on my neck. For some reason, his strength seemed to be constant. It didn’t move tighter, and it gives me the impression that he was losing his grip.Ha! It was his slimy, webbed hands. It was slipping because of his own imperfection. I could see determination in his eyes, yet his facial expression was showing he lacks power to strangulate me. It was not a funny sight, but somehow, there was this side of me that wanted to laugh with amusement. He loses the grip sudde

Amante POVI begrudgingly swam my way upwards, trying to go out of the water. I felt so empty inside. The guard fish was with me, though, I wasn’t sure I wanted a companion at this moment of my life.I thought I could just leave, that I would be able to run from them, who were making me feel heart broken. I was giving them my blessing, if that was even needed at all. One thing was overwhelming my whole being right now.Allyssa must be happy at all costs! There would be no one other than Takif who could gave her that happiness I was talking about. I have seen it with my own two eyes. The way she clings herself to him dawned me into the reality I was too scared to face. She must have liked him so much and I was only getting on her way.I closes my eyes in surrender. But I was wrong. A fence of thousands of je

Amante POVI once thought there was nothing, I could not do to get whatever I want. I used to be selfish as hell, minding only myself and disregarding anybody else’s welfare. However, on my way up to the ground, while staring at Allyssa’s swimming body up ahead, I felt miserably helpless. I could not even dare try to accompany her. I felt cowardly and stayed a safe distance behind.“She must be agitated for now, but you’ll see in time, her attention and affection will be yours alone. Be patient, will you!”“That’s what I was doing all this time, right? Giving her as much space as she needed.”“Sarcasm beats you, Amante, not me.”“How could you be so passive about being overpowered by a female? You are my spirit wolf. Are you not supposed to be offended that your manliness has been trampled on?”

Amante POV“I heard about Banyan. It was unfortunate, yet we could do nothing about it now. We must focus our attention on bringing together you both, Allyssa and Master Amante, as destined mates.”“What? No!”Allyssa and I screamed simultaneously. I was shocked myself.“You did not have to shout, Amante. You made it sound like you do not want Allyssa back.”, whispered by my spirit wolf.I could only nod mentally at his comment. Everybody has their eyes on me. My mate was darting deadly glares in my direction. I could not blame her, though.“Hmm-that’s not what I meant. I want Allyssa back. I would do anything to get her affection back!”“In your face! You said it already. Keep your honor intact if you have any!”“Allyssa!”Both Madame Maida and Sir John Dave shouted. Thei

Amante POV I was delighted to know banyan was alright. The events that unfold were shocking, though I found it amusing as well. Takif got his one hell of a mate, who never stayed in the dark and let him do whatever he wants. Good for him! He should not have taken someone else’s mate. That was unforgiveable! If only I have spared Allyssa from my loathing towards human beings, we would have been happy together by now. I would not be the jerk of a mate she disgusted right now. “Now that Banyan’s controversial death had been settled, we could push through without delay on the plans to sort out the severed mate bond my daughter and Master Amante.” “Knowing Allyssa, she was stubborn enough to care about the tradition. We must work hard and that means the efforts will fall not only from Master Amante but everybody around Allyssa.” “Do you have an idea on how we could be of help on

Amante POVNothing was easy in courting a girl. It involves everybody around me. Allyssa’s family was a great help. It was great having them as my back-up.There were times I felt everything was going down the drains, that all the efforts of everyone were futile. I had my fill of emotional turbulence for all the days that Allyssa was acting up on everything I do.It was about more than a month when I noticed her softness for a little bit. It was a relief. She still got that stoic expression on her whenever she sees me, but somehow, it felt like my presence does not bother or irritate her the way she did before. She was gradually loosening up, having small talks with her family and the seer. One time, I caught her having a pleasant chit-chat with Vodyanoy. They paused when they noticed my presence. I tried to ask what was that all about, but that ugly fish seemed to be smitten b

Amante POVAllyssa, as expected, did not come to welcome me during our timely arrival back in Lausanne mansion. She stubbornly stayed inside her room. I had been lenient and tried to succumb to all her pleadings for quite some time. It has been a month since I last saw her face.I terribly miss her. It was too intense that I dare stomp my way inside her room. I smashed her door, regardless of the tiny voice of insecurity that waved at my temporary insanity. Nobody dared to stop me, not even Amaltheo.I saw her sitting luxuriously in her golden couch with a book in her hands. I know she was acting like she was focused on her reading when I saw the side of her lips quivered along with the restlessness of her iris.Nothing matters to me anymore. I rushed towards her, pulled her up, and claimed her succulent lips in a wet, hot, and deep kiss. It lasted longer than I intended, because I was hoping I co

Amante POVIt was the happiest moment of my life, my wedding day!Everything seems surreal, except for the happiness I feel jumping hysterically inside my chest. My heart seems to burst out anytime soon because of excitement.I wear a strange wedding attire Sir John Dave had prepared for me. It was luxurious and custom-made. It was an adorned, long-sleeved ceremonial top used on special occasions by Lausanne clan. It was made with thin textiles woven from piña- the most expensive and highly prized material in Leverland. It was because of its manufacturing difficulty, quality, and rarity. It was distinguished by fibers of patchy thickness, which gives the fabric the appearance of having streaks. It has slits on both sides and buttoned straight down the chest. The embroidery placed on a rectangular section on the front of the chest and over the entire shirt was of red dyes and g

A year later, under the glorious moonlight, two shadows can be seen lurking at the top of Empire State Building in New York, USA. It was Amante with his mate Allyssa. They were observing the people gathered below for the New Year’s eve celebration. Right after the magnificent fireworks display, they stared at each other with generous smiles plastered on their faces. “Time has come, my love! I’m happy to be here beside you right now!” Amante whispered lovingly on his wife’s ears. Allyssa giggled like love-struck teenager when she felt butterflies in her stomach because of her husband’s words. “I love you!” was all she could answer to that. They lovingly wrapped each other in tight embrace. Amante mind linked his Beta, the eleven year old Kelvin who showed him that age was nothing but a number. “Everybody on their places, Beta Kelvin?” “Aye, Alpha King Amante! W

Amante POV “Take a look at that, Maziar. Those were the human beings werewolves have been wary about all their lives. Most of them does not even believe our kinds do exist.” We were at the city center, fitting ourselves with the bustling people around. I could sense Maziar’s discomfort. He was extremely anxious. “Serves him right.” The amusement in Amaltheo’s chuckle made me smile unconsciously. I turned towards the corner of a street where a street performance seemed to have caught everyone’s attention. Maziar followed behind hesitantly. I was not bothered by the idea that he might try to escape, and I guess, he knows why. As the night started to fade away, the crowd on the streets finally began to diminish as people go their separate ways. “See that, Maziar? Nobody notices our existence within the human populace. There was not a reason to hibernate in that barren, frozen la

  • The Rejected Quisling   Chapter 116

Amante POVHaving been a quisling myself, I’ve masterfully acquired the tacit ways to get someone fooled; one, was to make the fool believe what isn’t true, and, the other was to make the truth as unbearable misery as possible that the ignorant would refuse to believe it himself.Maziar Brennan has the nerve to put me in such dilemma. If his goal was to plant doubts and mislead me, he had already succeeded halfway. My rationality was clouded with his poisonous truth, so intense that I almost found myself collapsing on the ground.I never wanted to be seen weak and vulnerable. It was degrading on my part to slump like the whole world has fallen down on me.But what else could be done?Maziar Brennan. The traitor that dared to kill me, stole from me, and challenged my ascendency was my first and only blood cousin!I have always thought I was the last of all Del Fuegos.

Amante POVMaziar Brennan remained silent for a while longer. He seemed to be on his own world, contemplating on his next move. Even his followers were quiet and did not attempt to move a bit far from where I found them when I first appeared in front of them. I kept myself at bay, taking the risk of being too exposed but not at the mercy of any werewolves who would dare challenge me.Amaltheo, my spirit wolf on his glorious magnificence, was totally intimidating and looking as menacing as possible without much effort. The silver fur was glistening at the flickering firecrackers made by the bonfire at the center of the cave. The calf they were roasting was burnt for being left untouched from the fire consuming its shrunk meat. No one cared, or if there might be, they forcefully convinced themselves to stay away and let it burn and

Amante POVIt would remain a mystery on me how Maziar Brennan became the traitor I have been before. It was the tag I used to carry discreetly all through out the years I stayed with the Irati Nardus Pack. The things I did, the secrets I hide, and the betrayals I concealed before become his to endure, and as charged to my past experiences, it would lead him to nowhere but doom. There were so many things I would like to ask him. I should have it all written down on a piece of paper so it would have been easier for me, as I only needed to read it aloud. It was because, right now, I suddenly felt stupefied in front of him. I maybe as stunned as his petrified condition which made us both silent for a couple of seconds.Only the cracklings of the burning firewood and the heavy breathing of the werewolves inside this cave was the only noise that echoes around. Rather than attacking me as I had an

Amante POV“I would go and confront the traitor, Maziar Brennan, all by myself!”My words were instantly shunned with exasperated gasps from everyone, most especially my mate, Allyssa Lausanne. She jerked out of my arms with shaken standpoint.“What are you talking about? You know very well that I would never let you do this without me by your side. What were you thinking, huh, Amante?”Her voice were filled with disappointments and disbelief. I have already anticipated her extreme reactions way before I have even got the chance to voice out my perceptions on the problems we were facing because of Maziar. There would be no other way out of this, but to patiently persuade her to comply, as this would be the only chance we got to ensure the success of capturing the rotten bastard.“Calm down and hear me away first, Allyssa!”I have never tried to use

How do everyone reacted? Does any one of you aware that she was the one who really killed Marina?”Alpha Vincent shifted nervously before replying to Allyssa. His anxiety was visibly pasted on his flustered face.“I would start by begging for forgiveness. I am truly sorry, Luna Allyssa, but the truth was, except for Alpha Mayor who was settled at the island of Cape Narciso, everyone knows that you were not really to blame for Marina's death. Despite that, we proceeded on your unfair trial. The council was convinced that it was the best way to get rid of you or at least get you kicked out of

  • The Rejected Quisling   Chapter One Hundred Eleven

Amante POVIt was getting dark outside when we finished cooking up the moose meat. The whole process was filled with laughter and I enjoyed every second of it. We were like a real family having the best day of their lives together in the most common yet fulfilling corner of the house, the kitchen. As we started moving out, I scanned my surroundings. The bright moon had half appeared behind the darkened clouds. It was not very common to see stars in the sky of Antarctica. It was simply because of the harsh and most often violent climate of the weather. In here, the snow does not stop pouring throughout the year.I felt the chilly breeze from the icy squalls that dances along with the gentle wind.Mixed with the pungent and familiar scents of my packmates was the savory aroma of the roasted meat prepared by Kelvin for his sickly friend Lyka, the unica hija of the former Beta of Alpha K
