Amante POV

“She must be in the garden, Master Amante.”

The servant ushered me at the end of the hallway leading to the door outside, where she claimed Allyssa might be. I have been looking for her since she romped her way out of the room, agitated obviously by my foolish reaction.

Well, what should my reaction be?

I was stupefied, petrified even, of all the things her family had shown me. She does not know how baffled I was.

I have to find her. One thing’s clear in my mind right now. She was my destined mate. We were bound by the Moon Goddess. Our fate has been decided and we shall abide.

She might have rejected me as her mate, but I never accepted it yet. It was invalid. And I intend to forgive her, I meant, her to forgive and take me back.

My supernatural sense of sme

Amante POVIt was decided. I must prove my worthiness as Allyssa’s rightful mate. Somebody else was claiming her! One could never imagine how outraged I was when I discovered about that fish suitor of my mate.I pursued Allyssa that night. She ran away after Amaltheo’s grand comeback inside of me. She was the only unhappy entity about that. She called me names for the first time. Not that I do not deserve it. Traitor. I really was a traitor, before. But I have learned my lessons the hard way, have I not?I was full of remorse, lost everything I could ever wish for, and on the verge of killing myself if my spirit wolf had not come back. I almost ended up murdering the one and only seer of her family, Iris Meritis, as she preferred to be called.I was told that I snapped badly at that time. It was that crazy little thing called seer that provoked me and made me turned vargulf. S

Amante POVIt took two days and a night to reach the island the Lausanne had me banished into. It was a rough sail with a rude Aswang as the captain of a squeaking rust, Dufor 29 sailboat. He made sure my journey was nothing but adventurous. We were met by waves with the size of a mature birch tree. The boat was consecutively being tossed around like a dirt bag in a raging water of a riverbed. He had chuckled maniacally all throughout the menacing waves and blurted it was that fish-of-a-gun rival of mine that was responsible for our tricky trip. This said competition must be anything but a fair game. I was sent by myself, though Amaltheo, as a part of me, draw back inside his sheltered abode inside my mind. That limbless cold-blooded vertebrate animal with gills and fins and living wholly in water, called Tarif or whatever, has its own way of coming into the island. It was so obvious

Amante POVSomething dreary about the mysterious tree made me pause because of the uncertainty of my condition and fear in my mind. It’s that kind of difficulty or impossibility to understand, explain, or even identify a certain phenomenon or a thing that happens, especially one of great importance.I only took a step inside the trunk of the tree, and I already know I ended somewhere in a different realm. The surroundings were pitch black. There does not seem to have a sky, for I saw nothing but darkness, no moon, or stars, not even clouds. It seemed like an endless vast of blackness. Only the tiny, faint light coming from the little fireflies lends a source of brightness to the place. The smell of tobacco polluted the atmosphere, like it was the very air I breathe. There were extremely large trees that seemed outlined in perfect angles with enormous branches hanging out and formed like big open summer umbrellas

Amante POVThe first mission was a tremendous success. I gained the santelmo, gifted to me by Banyan, a Kapre, my new friend.“You did well in there!”It was Amaltheo, my spirit wolf, applauding our first success. I could imagine him with the grotesque but lively grin on his astral wolf’s face. It has been long since we achieved something immensely satisfying. A good feeling, indeed!“Congratulations to you as well. Where did you learn those jokes, anyway?”“Allyssa. You should have heard her tell a tale. I could vouch for her being the best storyteller there is!”I could feel his enthusiasm, the excitement in his voice was resounding inside my chest. And I felt a bit of jealousy about that. He was able to experience genuine happiness with our mate, Allyss

Amante POVIt was carelessness on my part to mistake those footsteps as Kapre on guards. The sounds were lightweights and shorts which differed from the heavy and wide foot of the giants of the dark.Their smell reeks of tobacco with hints of a burned hair that was too intense for my over sensitive sense of smell. I could feel their presence, as near as I could possibly comprehend, though they were invisible in my eyes. The huffs, puffs, and ruffs were everywhere.I was surrounded!“Show yourselves!”I screamed at the top of my lungs, using the Alpha tone that has the power to shake a werewolf out of his wits and scamper on his way. Though I was not sure it would have the same effect on those invisible creatures, I HAVE NO CHOICE.It would be one hell of a fight to battle out an opponent face to face. I am n

Amante POVVenomous rage worms its way stealthily in every vein of my body. It succumbed my whole being completely before I even realized its existence. It tasted very bitter to my tongue. I almost vomit at the intense odor it emits, and my ears were hurt and sore with its snarls and screams. It takes a thief to catch a thief, and a traitor hated being betrayed. That was what I felt when I noticed I almost had been played upon by some creature deemed to extinction.Tikbalang, as Banyan called them, tried to ambush my mission. I almost fell into their trap. That one who dared to copy Banyan’s physical appearance now lay on the ground with its head decapitated from its body. Gel-like gore splattered around when I trampled it furiously with my hefty and gigantic paws.As expected, there were sounds of neighs, snorts, even thumps of several hooves pounding the roughness of the forest grou

Amante POVThere were odd-looking creatures in front of me. I have an idea what they were, and although, there were several of them surrounding me, I felt threatened yet confident of my ability to fight them on a battle of strength. The sleep has me regained my energy and stamina. I felt empowered and ready to take the action upfront. There were about fifteen of them, Tikbalang, gaping at my sparkling wolf form. They do not have an intimidating physical appearance, rather, I mentally smirk at their oddity. They were an inch taller than my crouched body of a wolf. These bony humanoid creatures with the head and hooves of a horse, but has a naked torso of a well-built human, made an amused impression on my mind. They have disproportionately long limbs, to the point that their knees reach above their heads when they squat down. They were covered with a fluffy dark mane, while some of them have

Amante POV“Our guest was exhausted and starving. It would not be a good fight if he failed to show his full potential because of that.”Everybody was all ears on her, and I found myself listening to her attentively as well, like a trained puppy.“Spit it Amante. It would not harm us to give her an earful. We, after all, are the stranger here.”Amaltheo whispered inside my mind.“You seemed to be more and more cautious and passive these days, Amaltheo. Have you forgotten what we are? Werewolf and the strongest one there is! Why should we bow our heads down on a female’s demands?”“What doesn’t kill you will only strengthen you, Amante! You should bear that in your mind.”He retreated into his own console, ignoring my shaken sentiment.“The bout shall take place tomorrow evening. For now, serve our guest t

A year later, under the glorious moonlight, two shadows can be seen lurking at the top of Empire State Building in New York, USA. It was Amante with his mate Allyssa. They were observing the people gathered below for the New Year’s eve celebration. Right after the magnificent fireworks display, they stared at each other with generous smiles plastered on their faces. “Time has come, my love! I’m happy to be here beside you right now!” Amante whispered lovingly on his wife’s ears. Allyssa giggled like love-struck teenager when she felt butterflies in her stomach because of her husband’s words. “I love you!” was all she could answer to that. They lovingly wrapped each other in tight embrace. Amante mind linked his Beta, the eleven year old Kelvin who showed him that age was nothing but a number. “Everybody on their places, Beta Kelvin?” “Aye, Alpha King Amante! W

Amante POV “Take a look at that, Maziar. Those were the human beings werewolves have been wary about all their lives. Most of them does not even believe our kinds do exist.” We were at the city center, fitting ourselves with the bustling people around. I could sense Maziar’s discomfort. He was extremely anxious. “Serves him right.” The amusement in Amaltheo’s chuckle made me smile unconsciously. I turned towards the corner of a street where a street performance seemed to have caught everyone’s attention. Maziar followed behind hesitantly. I was not bothered by the idea that he might try to escape, and I guess, he knows why. As the night started to fade away, the crowd on the streets finally began to diminish as people go their separate ways. “See that, Maziar? Nobody notices our existence within the human populace. There was not a reason to hibernate in that barren, frozen la

Amante POV“Come with me, Maziar. I can show you the world, the real world I wanted to conquer the most.”Although I haven’t tried it myself, an idea of transporting with someone from place to place has a good impression on me.And because this was just a trial and error phase, there’s no one other than Maziar Brennan who fitted the most as my companion.I could boast my powers right in front of his sulking face and I could simply ditch him somewhere barren to die alone and miserable. The look on his face was satisfying. This time I’ve transformed back into my human form and I quickly grabbed him by the neck. There would be no place for him to but with me.With nothing on, I did not hesitate to summon my teleportation power. I know the place very well, so there was nothing to worry about being seen by another in my nakedness. The electricity travelled all t

  • The Rejected Quisling   Chapter 116

Amante POVHaving been a quisling myself, I’ve masterfully acquired the tacit ways to get someone fooled; one, was to make the fool believe what isn’t true, and, the other was to make the truth as unbearable misery as possible that the ignorant would refuse to believe it himself.Maziar Brennan has the nerve to put me in such dilemma. If his goal was to plant doubts and mislead me, he had already succeeded halfway. My rationality was clouded with his poisonous truth, so intense that I almost found myself collapsing on the ground.I never wanted to be seen weak and vulnerable. It was degrading on my part to slump like the whole world has fallen down on me.But what else could be done?Maziar Brennan. The traitor that dared to kill me, stole from me, and challenged my ascendency was my first and only blood cousin!I have always thought I was the last of all Del Fuegos.

Amante POVMaziar Brennan remained silent for a while longer. He seemed to be on his own world, contemplating on his next move. Even his followers were quiet and did not attempt to move a bit far from where I found them when I first appeared in front of them. I kept myself at bay, taking the risk of being too exposed but not at the mercy of any werewolves who would dare challenge me.Amaltheo, my spirit wolf on his glorious magnificence, was totally intimidating and looking as menacing as possible without much effort. The silver fur was glistening at the flickering firecrackers made by the bonfire at the center of the cave. The calf they were roasting was burnt for being left untouched from the fire consuming its shrunk meat. No one cared, or if there might be, they forcefully convinced themselves to stay away and let it burn and

Amante POVIt would remain a mystery on me how Maziar Brennan became the traitor I have been before. It was the tag I used to carry discreetly all through out the years I stayed with the Irati Nardus Pack. The things I did, the secrets I hide, and the betrayals I concealed before become his to endure, and as charged to my past experiences, it would lead him to nowhere but doom. There were so many things I would like to ask him. I should have it all written down on a piece of paper so it would have been easier for me, as I only needed to read it aloud. It was because, right now, I suddenly felt stupefied in front of him. I maybe as stunned as his petrified condition which made us both silent for a couple of seconds.Only the cracklings of the burning firewood and the heavy breathing of the werewolves inside this cave was the only noise that echoes around. Rather than attacking me as I had an

Amante POV“I would go and confront the traitor, Maziar Brennan, all by myself!”My words were instantly shunned with exasperated gasps from everyone, most especially my mate, Allyssa Lausanne. She jerked out of my arms with shaken standpoint.“What are you talking about? You know very well that I would never let you do this without me by your side. What were you thinking, huh, Amante?”Her voice were filled with disappointments and disbelief. I have already anticipated her extreme reactions way before I have even got the chance to voice out my perceptions on the problems we were facing because of Maziar. There would be no other way out of this, but to patiently persuade her to comply, as this would be the only chance we got to ensure the success of capturing the rotten bastard.“Calm down and hear me away first, Allyssa!”I have never tried to use

Allyssa come before in time when I was about to ask about Omega Irna.“We found out that Irna was killed when she returned to the pack, and Maziar ordered Roman to drop her body along with the others, in the trap sink hole for our group. How do everyone reacted? Does any one of you aware that she was the one who really killed Marina?”Alpha Vincent shifted nervously before replying to Allyssa. His anxiety was visibly pasted on his flustered face.“I would start by begging for forgiveness. I am truly sorry, Luna Allyssa, but the truth was, except for Alpha Mayor who was settled at the island of Cape Narciso, everyone knows that you were not really to blame for Marina's death. Despite that, we proceeded on your unfair trial. The council was convinced that it was the best way to get rid of you or at least get you kicked out of

Amante POVIt was getting dark outside when we finished cooking up the moose meat. The whole process was filled with laughter and I enjoyed every second of it. We were like a real family having the best day of their lives together in the most common yet fulfilling corner of the house, the kitchen. As we started moving out, I scanned my surroundings. The bright moon had half appeared behind the darkened clouds. It was not very common to see stars in the sky of Antarctica. It was simply because of the harsh and most often violent climate of the weather. In here, the snow does not stop pouring throughout the year.I felt the chilly breeze from the icy squalls that dances along with the gentle wind.Mixed with the pungent and familiar scents of my packmates was the savory aroma of the roasted meat prepared by Kelvin for his sickly friend Lyka, the unica hija of the former Beta of Alpha K
