“When did lessons start to look like weapons pointed at my deepest hurt?”

Daisy’s POV

It was the final day, I was mostly excited about the fact that the brutal clashing of swords and claws would finally come to an end.

The crowd today had tripled in size, it was almost impossible to walk without bumping into another.

“Daisy,” a voice shouted, trying to signal me out of the throng.

I side stepped, walking towards the lady that had screamed my name, my eyes taking in her appeal, and I recognized her as one of the ladies who sat with Astrid in the royal tent.

“Hi,” I said in a low tone, trying to keep my face calm.

“Hi, sorry, I heard your friends call you Daisy,” she explained, smiling brightly at me.

“oh,” I said, feeling embarrassed that I had assumed her meeting me was about Astrid.

“I’m trying to get my bearings straight, but I can’t tell which is which,” she said looking around with a confused look on her face.
