CHAPTER 26

“There’s no saving me now, I had sealed my fate with blood.”

Daisy’s POV

It has been two weeks of constantly being at Hades beck and call. The task were the most outlandish things.

I had finished serving him lunch, and the weather looked perfect to take up Xavier’s offer.

Hades had ignored my presence, his eyes fixed on the papers that were littered on his table.

I walked out of the office slowly, hoping to not attract his attention. I threw my fist in the air and did a two step dance in jubilation, I was free.

The sun kissed my skin as I ran, I could feel their curious stares watching me laugh like a maniac.

By the time I reached the stables I was a mess, panting and gasping for breath. Xavier leaned on the hay watching me with amusement in his eyes.

“I’ve never seen a woman run out of breath in my sight” he mumbled.

“I must say Daisy, you really know how to flatter a man,” he continued.

My laughter sounded like a bunch of pigs squealing, “I always lose my breath whenever I am around
