“nowhere to run, but my feet keep moving.”

Daisy’s POV

“So what’s your pack like?”

I paused, my hands shaking slightly as she asked the question I have been scared of.

Blair and I had gotten pretty close over the days, it was easy to form some sort of alliance.

I always tried to handle the heavy part of our chores leaving her to the light and easy ones.

I still wake up in panic, searching around for a pair of hazel eyes. My breathing would only even out after I was sure there wasn’t anything lurking in the corner.

“It was pretty basic, I mostly kept to myself,” I muttered..

Blair seemed to have caught the drift, she knew when to let things go and not push, and somehow I liked that about her.

“We have to go,” Blair whispered, her eyes wide in panic, pulling my arm roughly.

“What’s going on?” I asked, matching her steps.

Blair looked like she had seen a ghost, her eyes wide, and breath coming in short pants
