CHAPTER 153

CINDY'S POV

As I stared at the young man in front of us, I felt disdain run through me and no matter how hard I chide myself against it, I just couldn't get that feeling off my mind. His continuous pleas Irritated me and made me want to choke him so much. I only managed to stand there because Rahl did. While I was least suspecting, Rahl turned huw gaze towards me, asking if the young man would be forgiven or not. I glared at him for a few seconds, confused. I tried to process what had suddenly come over him for him to ask such an obnoxious question. The Rahl I knew wouldn't even consider having mercy on such an offender talkless of asking her about it. He had truly grown soft, much softer than he should be.

"No! He shouldn't. He commited a crime and should be treated as one. He will serve as deterrent to others who might want to head in the same direction," I said with a loud and baritone voice just the way I knew Rahl to like it. He nodded his head in agreement and turned
