KYRA'S POV

For almost five minutes, I spoke no words and neither could I think straight. I was worried and the reason for my worry wasn't far-fetched. If Rahl could go that extent just to spy on us, then goodness knows what other things he had already mapped out. Thinking of it alone gave me goosebumps. I sat still, staring at the men that had 0lll0been tied to the stakes. I felt a kind of Irritation, not because I considered what they were about doing as wrong but because I felt they were carrying it out in the very wrong place. I rolled my eyes with disdain as I walked up to Ace who stood akimbo watching the men being tied to the stake.

Unable to watch it anymore, I cleared my throat and placed my hand on his shoulder.

"Ace, can I speak to you for a few seconds? It's quite important that I speak to you," i said to him with my mouth pouted awkwardly like one who's candy had been hijacked from her. He understood immediately and without complaint, pulled me to a corner. H
