BLAKE'S POV

I set out from the pack as early as I could with my orderly and some other soldiers. There was no time to waste, especially when I planned on visiting no less than three packs that aren't close to each other in any way. As we went, I had a strong nagging feeling tug at my chest and no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get rid of it from my mind. I had to be optimistic else I would find myself at the feet of it all. I couldn't sit still and continue to hope that a miracle will suddenly happen from the moon goddess who didn't give a damn about our existence or not.

"How quickly would we be at the first pack of visit?" I asked my orderly who had the map clasped in his hand like it was some prized possession. He opened the leather map in his hand and went through it for a few seconds while constantly clearing his throat.
