Elsa's POV
I was forced to the stage to dance seductively before the crowd of men that were gathered from the four corners of the pack waiting to watch the now degraded daughter of the former Alpha of the pack dance and flock her body before them.
"I am not going to do this not before everyone is present, I am not that shameless and still have some sense of dignity." I returned to my mate, Gulther, but he shot an angry look at me, looking right into my eyes with fury.
"You aren't going to disappoint this crowd of people, you are there and doing whatever they want you to do, right there right now." He fired angrily at me and pushed me to the stage with a thick frown hanging on his face.
"And don't try anything funny with me." He whispered and watched me from another end.
Immediately the people saw me, they began to clamor for me to dance but I wasn't going to give in to them so easily.
"Dance! Dance! Dance!" The men in the hall kept yelling at me but I wasn't going to give in to anybody.
I turned around to leave immediately but Arthur came over to me and slapped me hard on my face with a frown hanging on his face and tears formed at the corner of my eyes while I clutched my aching face.
"Fool, why aren't you dancing? I thought I already told you to behave well if you still love this miserable life of yours." He thundered at me but I could not say a single word to him.
"Stop." A loud cry came from the other end of the hall and I turned around quickly to see who it was, together with everyone in the hall.
And to our greatest surprise, it was the Lycan king, making everyone in the hall gasp in shock and confusion.
Immediately I saw his face, that night crossed my mind and I was already shibari with fear so hard that I could not even stand properly.
"He has finally come for me." I thought in my head as cold shivers ran quickly down my spine.
The Lycan together with his train of pack warriors walked over to the stage and shot a deadly stare at the both of us, staring right into my eyes as though he was searching the inner part of me.
I could feel my heart beating hard against my chest as though it was going to burst through.
"What does he want from me?" I thought
"Good day, Lycan Arthur." He bowed before the Lycan King but he seemed not to be satisfied the slightest bit.
He went over to him and raised his head and "slapped." A deadly slap landed on his face making everyone stare at the Lycan King in shock and surprise.
"What's the heck is happening here?" I could hear the people murmuring from the point where I stood.
"What the heck is happening here," I yelled in my head, equally shocked at what was happening there.
"How dare you bow before me when you are disobeying me?" The Lycan King fired angrily at him with a frown sitting on his face.
"But how am I disobeying you, my Lycan." Gulther returned already shivering with fear. For the first time since I met him, he was visibly afraid and sweat was already flowing down from the corner of his face.
"Why are you being Cruel to my mate?" He announced before everyone was present and the hall became as silent as a graveyard while my jaw dropped in surprise.
"Mate? Lycan? Here? How?" Several thoughts ran through my head while I watched the event happening in the hall in shock.
"But how is she your mate," Gulther said with a stutter already shivering with fear and cold shivers running swiftly down his spine knowing too well what he was going to be in for if the Lycan found him guilty of any offense.
"How dare you question my authority?" The Lycan King growled at him with hate and disgust in his eyes.
"Slap." Another deadly slap landed on his left cheek. I watched as the Lycan king called out to the guards and they brought a leather belt with them and handed it over to me.
I stared at the belt, then at Gulther, and then at the Lycan king. "I can't do this," I announced, shaking my head side by side.
"Then I will do it for you." The Lycan king announced. He began to whip him with the belt while he screamed out in pain, just the same way he always did with me.
When he was satisfied and Gulther was already bleeding, he stopped and turned over to me while I fell back in my tracks.
"Come with me." He said stretching his hands towards me but rather than see those lovely hands, I saw the claws of death, those claws that caused the death of my parents and were also about to end my life.
But I could not disobey him, he was the Lycan king and he had the sole right to do whatever he wanted with anybody that he liked.
We got to the carriage and I remember that I had forgotten something back at the brothel. "I have to get something," I informed him and turned around quickly and broke into a run.
When I got to the place, a strange hand held me and made me shiver with fear. And when I stared into his face, I noticed that it was Arthur. He was still hell-bent on not letting me go.
"What do you want from me again you beast." I fired at him, already getting irritated by him. "Can't you see that I am no longer yours?" I fired.
"We all know why he came for you, dummy. Deep down, you know he is not your mate and he only wants to do the same thing that he did to your parents to you." He whispered into my ears...
And I realized the truth of what he was saying, making me shudder absently and sweat ran down from the corner of my head.
Elsa's POV"You only want me stuck with you forever." I returned right away and pulled away from him immediately, finally happy that Thanks to the Alpha, I had given him an epic comeback. But my joy didn't last long. But deep down inside of me, the words he just spoke to me were my greatest fear and they weren't far from the truth. With every single step that I moved, with every air that I drew into my nostril, I felt I was only getting closer to my death in the hands of the Lycan.I got to a separate carriage different from that of the Lycan king and When we got to the pack house, he turned to me without the slightest trace of joy on his face. "The servants will take you around, get ready to be in my room by evening today." He shot at me and I searched his eyes for the slightest trace of emotion but there was nothing. At that point, I knew that I am trapped in hell for life. This was not the life I wanted, I need to be mated to someone who truly loves me with so much care and atte
As I opened my eyes, I felt disoriented and confused. My head throbbed with a piercing headache, and an uncomfortable feeling crept up my spine. I tried to move, but my limbs felt heavy and unresponsive. For a moment, I thought I was still in the clutches of the Lycan king, but as my vision cleared, I realized I was in a completely different room. The room was large and well-furnished, with a soft bed that I was lying on. The walls were adorned with beautiful paintings, and the windows let in a warm, golden light that filled the space. As I tried to sit up, a wave of dizziness overtook me, and I had to lie back down. I felt weak and vulnerable like a small child lost in a vast, unfamiliar world. It took me a few moments to gather my bearings, and as my mind cleared, memories of what had happened flooded back to me. I remembered the Lycan king, his dark, brooding presence, and his intense gaze that seemed to pierce through my soul. I remembered the way he had spoken to me, his voice la
I crept down the stairs, my heart pounding in my chest. Every creak of the wooden steps made me jump, my nerves on edge as I tried to stay quiet. I didn't want to be caught, didn't want to face the wrath of the Lycan king or his minions. As I made my way down, I couldn't help but notice how eerily quiet the house was. It was as if everyone had disappeared as if I was the only one left in the entire world. The silence was suffocating, and oppressive, and it made me feel even more alone than I already was.The only thing that I could hear was the distant voices of the maids as they chatted away, probably disEvery shadow seemed to jump out at me, every creak of the floorboards sending shivers down my spine. I felt like a mouse in a trap, a pawn in some cruel game that I didn't fully understand. As I reached the bottom of the stairs, I paused, listening for any signs of movement. But there was nothing, no sound at all except for my breathing. It was as if the whole world had gone still,
ALPHA'S POV.I walked through the corridors, my thoughts still reeling from what had happened last night. I couldn't believe what had transpired between Elsa and me. The way she had resisted me had caught me off guard, and I was left feeling disappointed and confused. As I made my way to the garden, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had settled in the pit of my stomach. I had always heard that Elsa had no wolf, and yet she had exhibited a level of power that I had not expected. The way she had fought back had been both surprising and intriguing. When I reached the garden, I sat down on one of the benches and closed my eyes, trying to calm my racing thoughts. I could still feel the pull of her wolf, the way it had resisted me as if it knew that I was not the right mate for Elsa. It was a strange feeling, one that I had never experienced before. I opened my eyes and looked up at the moon, wondering if it held the answer to my questions. I had always believed that the mo
ALPHA'S POV."Is there anything with her? You women find it hard to keep your lips sealed. And what are you doing here? You're not supposed to be here, are you?"The anger was quick to surface when my wife approached me with her questions. She had no right to come and ask me such things, she should have known better."Sorry, darling." She apologized profusely, moving closer, she tried to touch me in what she thought was a seductive manner.I stood there, my gaze cold and hard as she stood before me with a smirk on her lips. Her hands ran lightly over my body, tracing the contours of my chest and abdomen in a slow, gentle dance. I felt my body tense beneath her touch, but she refused to break eye contact, determined to make her seduction complete. The light touch of her fingers made me quiver and I could feel the heat emanating from her skin as she pressed her body against mine. She moved closer still, her breath hot on my neck as she inhaled my scent. Her hands moved slowly up my side
ALPHA'S ARTHUR'S POV.I retired to my room for the night, feeling the chill in the air as I stepped away from the warmth of the fire. The crackling sound of the logs burning slowly in the fireplace filled the room, and I could feel the shadows creeping in around me. I stood there for a moment, taking in the silence, and wondering if I should go see Elsa.I couldn't get her out of my mind, no matter how hard I tried. She was unlike any other woman I had encountered, and I found myself drawn to her. I wanted to know everything about her, to understand her better. But then, I remembered her roar, the one that had scared me when we were about to mate.I couldn't forget that moment, no matter how much I tried. It was the only thing that had ever scared me, even as a toddler. I shook my head, trying to push away the memory, but it lingered. I wondered what it was about her that made her do that, and if it was a warning of some sort.I took a seat by the fireplace, warming myself by the fire
ELSA'S POV. I found myself in a dark and deserted place, the air was thick with the stench of fear and desperation. Suddenly, I saw her, a stranger, calling out to me, pleading for help. Her eyes were filled with terror as she ran towards me, her voice hoarse with desperation."Please, help me," she cried out, tears streaming down her face. "He's coming for me. I don't want to die."I felt the weight of her fear crushing me, and I tried to run, but my feet were rooted to the spot. The stranger reached out to me, her fingers barely brushing mine before she disappeared into the darkness.Suddenly, I saw my father, battered and bruised, begging for mercy. He was in the clutches of a monster, a monster that I know I should be able to defeat. But I was frozen, unable to move, unable to do anything as my father screamed in agony.I felt a cold sweat break out on my skin as I watched the scene unfold before me. The monster loomed over my father, ready to deliver the final blow. I tried to s
ALPHA'S POV.The night was dark and still, the only sound coming from the crickets outside my window. But even the soothing sound of nature wasn't enough to calm my restless mind. I couldn't shake the feeling that I needed to see Elsa. Ever since she arrived in our territory, I couldn't get her out of my mind. It was like she had cast a spell on me, a spell that I couldn't break free from. It wasn't just her beauty or her strength that captivated me, but it was something more. Something that I couldn't quite put my finger on. I tossed and turned in my bed, trying to find a comfortable position, but nothing seemed to work. I knew I had to see her, to talk to her, but I didn't know how. I couldn't just barge into her room in the middle of the night, it wasn't proper. And yet, I couldn't ignore this feeling inside me. I got out of bed and walked to the window, staring out at the dark forest. The moon was full, casting an eerie glow over the trees. I wondered if Elsa was awake too and
ELSA'S POVBy the time it was evening, I was sickly tired waiting for Arthur to show up. He had boldly asked me not to come, that I should enjoy my day but if I was honest, I swear that I had done anything but enjoy today. Be anxious? sure. Get mad? Definitely. Shiver? Hmm-mm. Get happy a tad? Sure again. I had rocked and rocked and rocked, getting so tired of waiting that evening. I was about to go west my fancy jacket and go have this uncertain conversation with him that is scary with him when the door knob turned and I froze. Arthur came in and to my pleasure and displeasure, he wore a giant smile on his face probably happy that he could finally see me, honestly after my mini-investigation in the semi-afternoon, I was not so sure anymore."Hey, well... Aren't you a sight for sore eyes. A kiss?" He asked, walking towards me in such a hurry, you might mistake me for the breath of life. He looked so good and I knew I could get easily distracted by that but I chose not to. I rose a han
ELSA'S POVOur wedding night had not been what I thought it was going to be. It was everything I imagined and more and the fact that I did not get any sleep was pleasing instead of stressful. When I opened my eyes the next morning, I could not find Arthur, I sat up, rubbing my eyes from the pleasing exhaustion at the same time. I looked around and if I was being honest just as I felt different, in a good way, the room looked different too. So different and good too. I flashed a smile to myself as I thought that of course it would look different because I was not in my room, I was in Arthur's room or if I was being accurate, I would say my room. I got up from the bed and walked swiftly to the mirror, naked. I looked at myself in the mirror and not only did I feel different, I looked different. There were hickeys on my neck and ear, it was certainly an interesting look. I wore the robe I found on Arthur's side of the bed, which was made and a white card that had little hearts on it. I
ELSA'S POVThe big wedding was in motion. I mean the planning was in motion but it was the same thing. Most people were so surprised when Arthur gave the announcement that day. Shocked to the brim and beyond while some smiled and nodded their approval. The rest just glared at me as though they would have loved to stab me with a knife if it was allowed. Shreds. And I did not even blame them, I was still surprised myself. I was so excited just as I was anxious. I still had a baby growing in me and I did not know the father and I was freaking out. I could scratch my own eyes out. Just as the wedding planning was in set, so was my running away planning. I needed to flee with my head still intact."What are doing in here staring at the wall?" I turned and saw Nia standing at the door with an amused look on her face. I flashed her a smile and shook my head slowly, thinking of what to say. "Arthur has been smiling since yesterday, I am so surprised that his jaw is not been hurting yet." She
ELSA'S POVI had no idea that there was a cabin back here. When Emily directed me here it was like she had been blabbing. I had walked this whole place and this was the first time I was seeing this place. I guess the structure of the house was weird. I stood in front of the 'invisible' cabin and searched for the most important words at that moment. I knew the words I wanted to say were that I loved him so much, that l was willing to put away the paralysis of fear that held me down, and that I wanted to be his wife. That I was going to be his wife. That was the most important one. I took three bold and quiet steps up the small stair that had its wood painted red. Nice.My stomach rumbled in fear and my heart thudded against my chest. I raised my hands to knock and surprisingly on the first attempt it landed on the door with a very faint thud, produ
NIA'S POV"I wanted it to be a surprise for you. But I just needed something to give me an edge and make you listen to me. I love you and if staying here will make you believe it then I'm staying here and I'm not leaving. But that depends on what you think of it all. I need to be sure that you are comfortable with it. I don't want to shove anything down your throat and force you to want this just because I do. Do you understand?" He asked and I nodded. A big smile on my face."Woah. I love how you put things and I love that you are doing this for me. You have no idea how much it means to me, Silas. I have never been in love and most importantly I have never had someone love me to the extent of wanting to make a big change as big as what you just announced to make me happy. And I love you too. So much." I said and he closed his eyes for a moment, s
NIA'S POVThere he was. Silas, sat at the edge of the large rock everyone seemed to like. I smiled lightly at the cliche of happy things. I had searched everywhere for him, now that I think about it, why did I not search for him here before going to their tent area? Silly of me.I walked further into the space and I saw a striking blonde woman, who if I was being honest, I had nothing on. Why was Silas talking to this woman out here in the love garden? And why was I suddenly comparing this woman whom I did not know to myself? Insecurities were never a friend. Silas turned to look at them and immediately stood up, putting a clever distance between the both of them as if they were close. They were not. So why was he tripping?"Hey! Um... Hi." He said, grasping for words to say. I gave him a tight-lipped smile and nodded to tell him that I had heard the first greeting and he did not need to repeat it."Hi, if you have a company that would stay long then maybe I should come back, I was th
URSULA'S POV"Woah, mum. You are not selling my sister and definitely not the same man you sold me off to. I will not let that happen. If you need the money do bad and Dad can't control his silly problem and you love him so much, why don't you just go get married to Arthur yourself." I said they both gasped. Okay even though I was angry at that moment I had to admit it was nice to actually get a reaction from my father. He was such a doll sometimes. But apparently, he was not when he was being irresponsible with his money, ordering the servants and selling off his children."You dashed everything I once wanted for myself a few years ago and I am not going to let you do that to Sasha too. You do not even ask us what we want, or what we need. You just know that you have to get your money up and running. Did you ask her what she wanted?" I asked and my mother gestured behind me."She's right behind you and you can use your ears to hear that she was okay with it." I turned around and saw
URSULA'S POVWe all just sat there, no words being said. I guess maybe we were all basking in the memory we had spent in the house. I could not just let the house sell, it was unacceptable, that was where I had my first steps, and said my first words. I opened my mouth, then closed it again. Convinced that even if words were going to come out it was going to be all memories and not help anybody in the current situation we were in. A question finally came out."Um... So how did this happen and why was I not informed sooner?" I finally asked, tired. My family had no perks, only disadvantages. It was maddening and annoying."Well, we thought we could fix it on our own and still think we can fix it, we just need time and six days is no time." My mother said, looking over her shoulders at my father who still had his back on the chair. I wondered how he was still calm enough after all this bad news, it was his farm and he had a lot of land to use. I mean I would not go hungry, cannot. I was
URSULA'S POVThe smile that was on my face when I saw that Nia and Gloria were talking was very big. I wore a big smile on my face because that was enough proof to know that the story I had given her had worked. I wanted this meeting to have a very successful outcome and I knew that could not happen if the two key people involved could not deal with each other, it would not be a success. It would be a big disaster and I did not want that. Now that that seemed settled, I looked around, my eyes searching for Andrew. It was a dreaded day for Arthur, for everyone, but I bet he was with him. The event had already begun and the both of them were still not seen so I could bet that some pep talks were being carried out. There were a lot of faces here, a lot of young faces eager to be the lycan king's wife if only they knew that it was no fairytale but rather it was a nightmare I would bet my ass that they would not be here right now with big smiles on their faces. My eyes caught what seemed t
