Chapter 5: Characterless

“Alpha, do you know her?” Zordan asked again, shaking Calvin’s shoulder.

“No,” Calvin replied. “Neither I want to know anything about her. Moreover, there is no way she can be my daughter’s mommy.”

“Why not?” Zordan asked in confusion. He tried to see the similarities between Roselet and the woman in the wheelchair, but he couldn’t say the same with confidence.

“Because this woman would like to burn in the fire of hell than sleeping with me,” Calvin responded, closing the video.

“Ouchh!!” Zordan hissed in fake pain. It looked like somewhere in the past; their conversation didn’t go well. “But by any chance, she really turned out to be Rose’s Mommy, then?”

“Then it’s obvious that she left my princess just to teach me a lesson or because her mate didn’t want to keep Rose as she already had a mate then.” Calvin tried to connect the dots, but he couldn’t understand the fact that a wolf could cheat on her mate.

And could that she-wolf this stoop low that she slept with him?

The most important part was how the hell she landed in the room in the room in which he was.

“Are you even listening to your own words?” Zordan asked in confusion, thinking the same thing that Calvin was thinking.

“Can you please sleep? I want to stay alone.” Calvin said, on which Zordan didn’t disturb him even once and fell like a dead person on the bed while Calvin couldn’t stop thinking about that she-wolf and thinking all this, he recalled the first meeting with her.

Everyone was laughing and smiling because of the wedding environment around them, and the groom was waiting for his bride to come as soon as possible.

While Ethlyn was teasing her best friend, Ashley, who was going to marry the love of her life after a few minutes.

“Stop teasing me, Ethlyn,” Ashley whined, trying to hide her blush. “You’re my bridesmaid. Don’t you have to walk down the aisle before me, hmm?”

“Ahh! You’re in a hurry to send me away from here.” Ethlyn teased her again, but when her eyes landed on Ashley’s father, who had just walked into her room, she spoke. “I think I should be going now; Uncle is here.”

With a wink, she left from there to join other bridesmaids 

Throughout the time, Ethlyn was happy for her friend and was imagining her wedding to be in the same way with her mate, Nathan.

“Ms. Ashley Garcia, do you take Christopher Nolan as your husband?” The priest asked the bride.

“I do.”

The priest looked at the groom before asking, “Do you take Ashley Garcia as your wife?”

“I…”

“Christopher!!” Someone yelled the name of the groom as loudly as he could. Everyone looked at the guest who was this late. And that person was no other than the reader’s beloved Calvin Logan Haysbert, who had set a record for arriving or attending any place at the last moment.

His parents used to tell him the time of the meeting of 2-3 at noon when the actual meeting used to be at six in the evening so that he could make it in time. The color of Ashley’s face paled, and Christopher smiled widely. After all, the best man was finally here.

Calvin walked down the aisle, looking no less than a male model, which he used to be early days. He reached Christopher and hugged him.

“Congratulation, buddy!!” He congratulated him, eyeing Ashley with a smirk. Ethlyn didn’t miss anything that was happening. She had sensed the change in Ashley’s posture from the groom’s best man was here. Also, she didn’t miss the groom’s best man was a werewolf as well. “I got you something for you as an early wedding gift.”

“Thanks, mate. But let the wedding…” Christopher tried to stop him so that he could marry Ashley first, but he stopped speaking when Calvin took out sexy net panties from his suit. “What the hell, Calvin?”

“Oops! I’m sorry. This is actually for Ashley.” Calvin said innocently, looking at him, and then smirked, looking at Ashley.

“What rubbish?” Christopher shouted, getting angry at his friend.

“What kind of behavior is this?” Ashley’s father yelled angrily.

“What kind of friends do you have, Christ?” Ashley’s brother yelled.

“Don’t ask any questions to Christopher,” Calvin said with an evil smile. “Trust me; my friend is equally confused and angry at this moment. But for everyone’s kind information. I’m not gifting used panties to Ashley, but this panty actually belongs to Ashley that she left in my suit after spending a passionate night with me yesterday.”

“How dare you?” Ashley’s father was ready to kick Calvin’s ass for tanning his daughter’s character. 

“Relax, Mr. Garcia. Instead of shouting and yelling at me, why don’t you ask about it with your daughter? Ask her where she was at her bachelorette party. Was she with her girls last night? Hmm?” Calvin questioned, smiling at Ashley. He looked at all the girls, “So girls, answer Mr. Garcia? Was Ashley with you all, hmm?”

Ethlyn could smell that whatever the werewolf was saying was true, and the worst part was it was Ashley’s panties because it had her scent on them.

She knew Ashley had disappeared in the middle of the party, stating that she had to spend some quality time with HIM, but at that moment, she thought that HIM would be Christopher, not this unknown third party.

“Is he telling the truth?” Ashley’s father asked, feeling embarrassed.

“Yes… yes, Uncle.”

“No, Uncle.” Everyone told him the truth except Ethlyn. “Ash was with me last night.” She lied again. Calvin raised his brow at this voice and turned his head to look at the face of a new liar, and he must admit that the she-wolf telling Ashley’s father was a beautiful liar.

He whistled, looking at her from top to bottom before speaking, “Really? Ash was with you last night, sweetheart?” he questioned.

“Yes, she was with me.”

“It funny to hear lies when you already know the truth. I had read it somewhere, and right now, I’m witnessing it.” Calvin said with a smile. “By the way, if you’re sure that YOUR ASH was with you, then I think I should show everyone the video of last night when I was fucking Ashley to see who is speaking the truth at this moment,” he added, showing his phone.

Everyone was taken aback hearing it, especially Ashley and Ethlyn.

Ethlyn quickly reached near her best friend before speaking, “What the hell is he speaking, Ash? Give me one hint, and I swear that I will break all his bones today.” She hissed in anger, to which Ashley didn’t reply anything to her and started crying. Ethlyn hugged her and glared at Calvin, who obviously didn’t play the video in front of everyone but yes, in front of Christoper for sure.

But everyone near him could hear the loud, pleasuring, and crying voice of Ashley, who was begging Calvin to fuck her.

“Why did you do this, Ash?” Ethlyn hissed in anger. “Why? That too just a few hours before the wedding?”

“I’m sorry. It’s just a mistake. I was drunk and… I’m sorry. I didn’t want all this to happen.” Ashley cried.

‘Sure! This werewolf has to do something with it.’ Ethlyn thought, glaring at Calvin. ‘Even if something happened between them last night, what was his motive for filming everything? He could have talked about it with Ashley personally instead of creating a scene?’

“Christ, my friend, how many times have I told you that this girl doesn’t love you and is marrying you just because of money? Hell, one of her boyfriends killed himself because of her, because she left him to marry you, but you were not ready to listen to me.” Calvin said to his friend.

“Ashley, baby!! I’m sorry. I wanted to show him what kind of woman you’re. You threw yourself at me by realizing that I’m richer than your would-be husband. But what did I do? I used and threw you. Aww! I feel so bad for you.” Calvin said, showing his fake care and concern toward Ashley. All of a sudden, someone slapped him tightly, and at the same time, someone’s phone started ringing.

“Don’t you have mother and sister at home?” Calvin had stopped smiling for a second, but he started smiling again and looked at the angry beauty in front of him.

“I have both mother and sister at my home, but neither of them is characterless, you see!” he replied, rubbing his cheek. “And I have no respect for a woman just because she is WOMAN. I would surely have respected Ashley if she would have been a prostitute, and sleeping with rich men for money would have been her work,” he added with a smirk.

“Youuuu” Ethlyn was about to slap him again when Calvin held her wrist tightly.

“Just because you got a chance to slap me once. Have you assumed my cheek as your private property? Hmm?” Calvin asked while Ethlyn tried to get her from his grip using her wolf’s power. She sensed that the werewolf was some Alpha because he was using his power to hold her wrist.

“Leave my wrist.” She hissed.

“Why? I thought you were enjoying touching me. I don’t mind sleeping with you. Trust me; I’m too good in bed.” Calvin proposed his offer shamelessly, thinking her the same as her friend, Ashley.

“I will like to burn in the fire of hell instead of sleeping with you.” Ethlyn hissed, making Calvin chuckle.

“Really? Are you sure you want to reject my offer?” Calvin asked again.

“Leave my hand, you moron. I already have a mate.” Ethlyn responded; hearing it, Calvin left her wrist.

“I hope you won’t cheat on him just like your best friend.” Calvin joked at looked at Christopher, who had broken the marriage and was ready to leave from the venue leaving Ashley. “Let’s go, buddy!! It’s better to cry now than cry by marrying the wrong woman your whole life,” he said, keeping his hand on Christopher’s shoulder and started taking him with him.

“You didn’t sleep, did you?” Calvin came out of this thought, hearing Zordan’s voice. “What were you thinking, by the way?” he asked another question.

“That I don’t want a characterless Mommy for my princess!! Neither I’m going to tell Rose about it.” Calvin said in determination. “The woman who can cheat on her mate is someone with whom I don’t want to keep any relationship, not even as a mother of my pup. And to be honest, I’m glad that she left my pup outside my pack.”

Zordan just kept looking at me in confusion. “From today onward, the chapter of searching for Rose’s mommy is closed in my life.” With this, he walked into the washroom while Zordan just kept staring at him.

‘The chapter is closed in your life, but what about the other side? What if Ethlyn Smith starts looking for her pup now?’ He wondered.
