Richard’s POV:

I closed the last file with a sigh, and stretched my arms above my head, letting out a groan as I heard and felt a pop in my shoulders.

It was already 5pm, and I had to get ready for Arielle’s and my ‘do-over’ date. She was the one who had called it that in the first place, but I quite liked the idea. After all, she had proposed it. So I was bound to like it. Shaking my head at my thoughts, I briefly wondered whether or not she was getting ready at this time as well, before I then stood up and made my way out of the study. Before I had to go and have a shower and get dressed for the date, I had to make sure that the arrangements that I had made with regards to food had been settled and were ready to go.

We had eventually settled on dinner at her place, but I had told her I would provide the meal for the evening.

I walked down the hallway of my home and towards the direction of the kitchen. But I heard a familiar voice call my name and I turned to glance at Eden’s smilin

Richard’s POV:Why could we not just have a normal date, and some damn time to ourselves?I thought furiously as I walked over to the door of the suite, where we had previously been seated for our date. Arielle watched with worried eyes at the door but I gave her a look that said that I would handle it, then I grabbed the doorknob and opened the door.I caught Darren mid-knock with his hands raised and balled up into a fist.“Darren,” I growled his name, frustration seeping into my voice as I saw his face. “You better have a good reason for being here as it is.”The warning tone in my voice told my best friend - and our Pack’s charismatic Beta - that I was not in the mood to joke around. It seemed hat he got the point, and he nodded at me.“I was actually here looking for you, Richard,” he began to explain, “There has been a new development, and it is imperative that you come here now. Your presence is needed, Richard. This isn’t something that I can handle on my own.”The way he spok

  • The Rejected Doctor   Chapter 85

Arielle’s POV:I sighed heavily as I watched the door shut with a thud.Just like that, our do-over date had ended. And I was now feeling lonely.Standing up from my chair on the dining table I had set up, I began to pick the plates of half-finished appetizers. We hadn’t even gotten through the appetizers. The thought of it just made me laugh out loud. My laughter filled the suite, and it sounded mirthless and aching.Well, I thought, this was the life of being mates to an Alpha. But could I do this? Could I be an Alpha’s mate? Could I be the Luna of the Pack that would help to guide everyone? The voice of that old woman who claimed to be the moon goddess had said so during my trance-links dream. But it was hard to believe. I, Arielle Grey, becoming a guide for the Pack, like the mother of the Pack.Could I bring myself to sacrifice in the same way that Richard does every day? He clearly put the pack first in all his decisions, and in every step he took. If he ever had to choose betwe

Arielle’s POV:Those words I heard did have an effect on me, and I couldn’t for one just deny that. It was like an avalanche of emotions suddenly built up inside of me, waiting until the last drop of weight that would send everything come rolling downhill.Still, I had to be strong, I reminded myself. I was not just Arielle Grey, pack doctor. I was also a member of this pack, and I was protected. But more than that, I was the mate of the Alpha of the Redding Pack, Richard, which made me a future Luna. I had to learn to be stronge despite all odds.“Was that what he said?” I used a false calm expression to hide all my fears behind it, building a wall to block all of that out of my mind for the time being. I crossed my arms over my chest and watched as Ethan displayed a look of surprise at my reaction, or rather, my lack of reaction. “I didn’t exactly expect any less from Leon. But you and I already know that, don’t we?”A familiar scent caught my attention, and I suddenly was aware of

  • The Rejected Doctor   Threats And Taunts

Richard’s POV:The two of us were at a standstill, facing each other like foes surveying their competition on the battlefield. I noticed that the Rogue had his hands clenched by his sides into fists. He was very angry, and I relished in his anger.“I would say something inflammatory at this point,” Leon began, the silence being broken by his voice, rough and tight with hidden depths to his emotions. “But I’m not here to fight. I came here to talk, Alpha Richard Wells of the Redding Pack. I came for what’s mine.”I had to fight to control my tongue this to me, and instead ground out, “I have nothing of yours. So don’t even think about saying it.”“Saying what? I came for your pack doctor. You already know that is the reason why I’m here, don’t you?” He gave me a predatory grin, which made me growl under my breath. I wanted to slam his head into a tree and rip his fucking throat out with my teeth. But I had to control myself.“Dr Grey isn’t yours, either. And you have no right to negoti

  • The Rejected Doctor   Convincing Ethan

Arielle’s POVWe were at a standstill.Instead of being outside, the three of us were at the clinic. And we weren’t the only ones there. It turned out that Darren had also sent three other warriors to look after me. They were now patrolling the place, Lilian having convinced them that she would be watching Ethan.I was nervous, and anyone who had eyes could see it. There I was, seated in the couch of my office, biting my lips and tapping my foot on the floor incessantly. My hand had found its way to my hair and I was slowly unraveling the bun I had put my hair into previously.Ethan was in the office with me, as was Lilian. Lilian was more focused on watching Ethan, and I didn’t blame her, having not seen his good side before. But I hoped to at soon, the tension would end. Ethan himself was seated at a chair in front of my desk, and his eyes were darting about the place, sometimes focused on me, and sometimes looking around the office. But he was avoiding Lilian’s intense glare, that

  • The Rejected Doctor   Convincing Richard

Richard’s POVI was not happy.“Why didn’t you send word to us?” I heard Darren ask his mate Lilian, and I could sense the tension in his voice. “The Rogue is still in the office with Arielle, alone. You know he could be dangerous.”We were walking down the hallway of the clinic, and I was moving in long quick strides, leaving Lilian and Darren trailing some ways behind me.I already had no idea how to feel, with the way that Leon had boldly come into my territory talking rubbish about how Arielle was going to come to him.But now, this? Why had she made this kind of decision, to spare a Rogue?I didn’t waste any time; as soon as I got to her office, I opened the door quickly, and walked in.My vision narrowed upon the man whom I had definitely never seen before in my life. He was a stranger - he was the Rogue.I didn’t pay attention to anything else, and I strode towards him with determination.I felt a lot of satisfaction within me as there was a flash of unmistakable terror in his

Arielle’s POV:What could I say to convince him?I was spent; I felt like I had been tense, my shoulders even hurt from the way I had been overthinking since for the past few hours, waiting for Richard to return. And now, this.I was still on my knees, feeling the pent up tension leak out of my body through my tears. I wasn’t crying just for Ethan. I was crying for everything; for Leon’s message he had sent as an ultimatum to me, for the obstacles I still had to face as the mate of the Alpha of the pack, for all the pain I had gone through at my age.Why was all this happening?“Get up,” Richard was saying, and I could see a flash of an intense emotion in his eyes before it was quickly replaced by blankness. I watched him clench his hands into fists and unclench them back again. He even repeated the command a second time.Still I couldn’t get up. I wouldn’t get up until he finally listened to me. I need him to give me a listening ear, and not to ignore my pleas like I meant nothing to

Richard’s POV:I wasn’t startled by Arielle’s question. In fact, I had definitely expected her to ask me such a question. After all I had left a date looking a little bit worried as Darren had called me and interrupting what would’ve been a pleasant night.‘Do you want to talk about it like this instead?’ She asked me to the mind link.I shook my head, releasing her from my embrace and leading her to sit down on the couch.Once the two of us were seated, I clasped my hands on my lap.‘Now, how do I begin?’She responded quickly, ‘From the beginning.’ There was a tinge of humor in her tone that made me relax a little. But then she spoke, sounding a little more concerned than before now. ‘Richard, remember not to leave anything out. I know you don’t want me to be hurt by anything but I need to know all these things. I’m your mate, remember?’I nodded, squaring my shoulders before I then began to speak out loud, instead of talking through the mind link. It would be a little bit easier th

  • The Rejected Doctor   MY NEW BOOK!

KELEIGH’S POV My father’s claws gleamed in the light of the overhead lamp of the room as he raised his hand in the air, preparing to swipe. My breath caught in my throat as I pressed against the wall he had roughly pushed me into in a rage after he had caught I and Jake in the act of canoodling. He roared in fury as he bore down on Jake. I could understand why he was so enraged. Jake was the Alpha of the Moonlight pack, and my father was the Alpha of our pack, the Wesselton Pack. Both our packs have been in a bloody feud for so long that no one even remembered how it started in the first place. Countless wolves from both packs had died for generations over this feud. And Jake was about to be the next person. “My daughter!” My father growled at him. "How dare you!" My heart galloped with panic as I stared at the scene in front of me. My father in a state of half-shift, his clothes already partly torn from it. Jake, pinned below him, his eyes filled with so much fear and shock as he

CHAPTER ONE A knock on the door disrupted her sleep, causing her brows to crease as she rolled to the other side of the bed. She scrunched her eyes up, trying to get back to her sleep when another series of knocking came after. “Hmm.” She groaned out, her hand fumbling on the bed as she reached for the blanket, throwing it over herself and acting cozy inside of it. “You have to open the door princess,” she heard her maid say from the door, causing the frown on her face to deepen.

  • The Rejected Doctor   Ending the war

Richard’s POV:This is how it ends.I transformed back to my human form, my chest bare.I looked around me, watching the Rogues being tied down around me. The death of Leon had caused an immediate and drastic drop in morale. The Rogues didn’t fight anymore, allowing themselves to be chained.Among them, were the Evans family too. They had been brought out by the warriors as per my orders. The night was still as I stood in the center of such chaos.I never knew silence could be quite this deafening.“The battle is over,” I said, looking around me with steely eyes to my tired warriors, but still victorious. I felt satisfaction in seeing all the familiar faces around me. Not many of them fell, to my joy. “We will dispose of the traitors today and rebuild our pack. This victory isn’t anything but a symbol of our strength, and our unity. For in our unity,” I rolled my shoulders back and raised my voice even louder. “We will never fall.”The cheers of my warriors were enough to dare me, and

“No! No! Father, you can’t do this to me! You can’t do this!” A tiny voice cried out, her voice echoing through the four corners of the room.“Stand up!” A loud voice boomed through her ears and ran through her body, causing her to hold her tears. He stood up from his throne, all tall and authoritative. The royal staff in his hand touched the ground and silenced everyone in the room. He studied his steps casually, walking towards her and sending streams of shivers down her spine.“Stand up!” He ordered. She didn’t need to be told twice. She scrambled up immediately, balancing her feet and lowering her head to the ground. He raised his hand to her, and she recoiled at the thought of him hitting her head, “Stacey, you’re nothing but a weak wolf. And your presence in this pack is not needed. I regret the day I gave birth to you. And today is one of my happiest days in this pack, to finally see that you have a use for me.” He said without mercy. She clenched her fist so hard her nails pie

  • The Rejected Doctor   The True Luna

Arielle’s POV:I felt so helpless, slowly walking towards the nearest safe house and holding a slowly bleeding Darren. The unconscious Beta groaned out loud and i bit my lip, looking down at him and adjusting my sweaty grip on him.“Don’t worry, Darren,” I said, feeling somewhat crazy to be speaking to an unconscious man. “I’ll get you help. You’re going to be fine,” my voice broke.Tears came to my eyes as I continued to step forward. Just one step forward I told myself.Oh great goddess, please help me. A tear slipped down my cheek as I thought of what Lilian would say to me if she saw her mate like this. I couldn’t do this to her. Please Darren be alright, i pleaded in my mind.“Arielle?” It was Ethan@/ voice that made me look up. Our eyes met and I felt small as he ran over to me, his own eyes wide with shock. “What happened to him?”“What do you think?” My voice sounded bitter and rough as I responded. Guilt and remorse filled my body all of a sudden as I saw Ethan look down. “I’

  • The Rejected Doctor   Fighting through the pain

Richard’s POV:I was running with fury at the forefront of my mind.I was such an idiot. I had made so much mistakes in the past few days. Now I had made the worst mistake.I had left my pack alone, at such an important time. Now they were being attacked.“Two of you go to the west gate and see what’s happening,” I ordered two of the swiftest warriors in my team. They nodded in unison and were off. We kept on going on our journey, and I began to feel dizzy for a second. At once I felt a burning sensation in my throat, as well as a sting on my arm. Then, a slash at my throat. My hands flew to check my Throat and found it unblemished.I was feeling the pain from my pack members.‘and it was a lot. I know fact, it was too much.I groaned out loud, trying to not let my sounds of pain get heard by anyone. I needed to get to the pack immediately.I could only hope that Darren had managed to stave off the worst of the attack I now knew that Leon was behind.Saying a small prayer to the moon g

Arielle’s POV:My heart was pounding as I said those words to my mate. In my mind it was like the world had come down on me. The alarm bells blares in my ears like a war gong, and I was left feeling helpless and lost.In reality, I was still in my office, with Meera looking meekly away from the glares of either myself or Ethan.Richard’s words came through the mind link that we shared.‘What’s going on, love? And I’m on my way. It was a trap,’ he sounded regretful, and there was a tinge of disgust punctuating his words. What had happened to make him sound like that?‘A trap?’ So this had all been planned.‘Elise and Hunter are working with the Rogues. They’re working with Leon. I think he may be on his way there now,’ he sounded like he was running while he spoke.I swallowed, the anxiety coming back in droves. Oh great goddess. In a shaky tone I replied to my mate, ‘I think he’s here right now. The alarm bells have been going off for nearly thirty minutes now.’ I paused. ‘What should

Richard’s POV:We made our way through the shortcut that Falcon had proposed.Darren and I had quickly met with him when the team was put together, and we had decided that we would be taking that route. I didn’t think that it was certainly a trap or anything but it didn’t hurt to be prepared and use the element of surprise on our side. However much I wanted to believe that things would go smoothly with Elise and Hunter, some part of me knew that it was somehow doomed from the start. Of course I couldn’t just come out and say thy to everyone, so I kept silent. I think it was my serious expression that gave away that I was brooding, for none of my men spoke to me or questioned me at any point in time.Luckily for us that was what saved us. We were near the presumed location of Elise and Hunter and the sun was shining brightly in the sky.I heard a twig snap and my ears picked up at the sound of it. Someone was in front of us.“Stop,” I called out. Everyone of my warriors fell silent imm
