“Alpha, we can stay for a bit longer.” My beta Noah said scratching his head embarrassingly. I know very well why he is insisting so much on staying in this mate ball. I had noticed his eyes and the way he was reacting since last ten minutes.
Well, he had always been a backbone to me. So, there was no saying ‘No’ to him. Hence, I agreed. Noah almost dragged me inside the venue, while I had already the car keys in my hands ready to leave in my Porsche cayenne; the one I brought after successfully signing the business deal with that German company.
The moment we stepped inside; Noah gave those same expressions again; his look confirming that he had inhaled the similar scent. Frankly speaking, I am not able to explain how it would have made him feel. But judging from his glistening eyes and a wide smile plastered over his squoval face, I am sure it would be blissful.
For us Werewolves, having a mate is a blessing- A blessing, that I hadn’t been showered with yet. Publically. But I know, soon I will be. Viviana needs her time. Noah hurried towards the direction of scent, probably ready to lock himself with his little mate.
I searched his eyes; landed over a beautiful blonde girl, her curves highlighted in that thin of fabric she had wrapped herself into. From her way of talking and gesturing with her hands, it appeared to me that she was from “The Full Night” pack; a pack formed from Ours nearly two hundred years ago.
The Alpha of that pack had always been a great friend with my father, until one day he realized his duties of an Alpha. Since one pack can’t have more than one alpha male, so father suggested him to choose some of the people whom he wanted to have to build his own pack. It was an arrangement made by my grandfather.
Whenever I asked grandfather the reason behind it, he always said,
“Alaric, it’s an arrangement made by Moon Goddess. Whatever she decides for us wolves are always good, and we must follow it.”
I wonder if my grandfather, the only Black werewolf Alpha had ever been in contact with the moon goddess and she chose him to carry out her tasks; of course, only through the way he used to say those things. I must admit that he was a bit of a boast.
Well, he passed away after my grandmother died due to illness. They were a pair everyone in the pack envied. Always together; no matter what the situation.
Before he passed away, he transferred his wolf powers to my father, who was an exception too. Being a normal alpha male was something surprising in my heredity. Because ours was a pack know for extraordinary werewolves.
Not only the Alphas, the betas, omegas, gammas, and the other pack members were special. But father was a normal alpha male. Hence, grandfather decided to pass his wolf power to father- another rare thing that you would find in our pack- THE BLESSED MOON PACK.
For the time being, father is the working alpha, while mother is Luna. She loves us all the most. But we know, I had always been her favorite child- the apple of her eyes.
“Why are you standing alone? Come and grab some drinks. There are too many hot chicks.” Andrew said winking me. He always walks with that good-for-nothing cocky grin. I wonder what those girls find good about it!
Andrew is my distant cousin- my Aunt Jessica’s younger son. His bond with me and our pack is the strongest, even though he can’t mind-link with me. Moving the glass of wine sophisticatedly, he inhaled its aroma and eyed a girl in tight dress barely covering her butts.
“I have got company. You better grab someone before finding your little mate, Alaric Windsor.” He left to the girl grabbing another wine glass from the table on his way.
Alaric Windsor…! My full name appeared to be strange somehow. It’s been a long time since someone had addressed me. Usually in the pack, they call me Alpha, or just Ale; a nick-name given by my late grandmother.
I wonder what that poor girl would have to face today. Andrew is one of a fucker. I hate to admit it. He is three years younger to me, but still mate less.
Unlike me, he isn’t worried at all. Whenever asked, he makes sure to put up that cocky-grin and replies with the same smudgy expressions,
“I Andrew Dawson, am incredibly happy now. Getting a hot chick to bang daily is a blessing.”
Well, I can’t even do this. Father knows it is not easy for me, also not for him…. After what had happened that night. He had not been able to shift again. He says that his wolf is angry and doesn’t talk to him anymore. So, he can’t pressure his wolf.
I wondered about the feeling of shift. But Moon had made it so good. He had always been a moody and stubborn wolf, but I love him. The whole pack’s teenagers had gotten their shifts in their sixteenth to seventeenth year, but I being their alpha shifted just two months back. My relationship with Moon was taking baby steps. But we trust each other.
Looks like moon goddess surely have some other plans for me. Watching Andrew drag the girl upstairs, my eyes landed over the other girls. Some were with their mates; I can sense it. Some were just here to fuck.
It was when my nerves alerted that I had smelled a human. A human! If the other werewolves sniffed this scent, they wouldn’t hesitate to pounce over that human. I must check it.
On my way to the north corner of this old house- a place which is chosen every year for mate ball- some moans travelled my ears. What else could it be, when I am in a ball organized to find your mate and fuck them out; consummate your bond and get married the other days. This was how it worked.
The moans kept on getting louder. From the intensity, it appeared to be belonging to same person. I had no mood to check on who it was. But my mind buzzed when Noah entered inside it without reporting before handedly.
“Alpha, I can smell you. Are you out of my room?” He asked.
So, this was Noah and his little mate. Well, I expected this already. This wolf… even in the middle of having a good Fuck, he is mind-linking with me. I am sure his mate would be pissed and give him a good beating.
Noah getting beaten by his blonde mate flashed in front of my eyes and I couldn’t help but chuckle. He let out a growl. May be guessed my thoughts.
“Continue what you are doing if you don’t want to end up being fucked rather than fucking.” I said and moved ahead towards the scent that was irritating my nostrils. I need to find out this human. How could a human be in here in The Samara Plateau?
As I was approaching the direction, the scent kept on getting stronger until my gaze halted over three men. They were dressed neatly, but they were humans and drunk too. The haggard looks over their faces were enough for me to understand that they were rogues. But why in our territory!
This land belonged to all the werewolves. It was an area of our ancestors. So, the place was chosen for mate ball and other important ceremonies when there was a need to gather all wolves. Up until today, no human had ever stepped in here. How could they!
Instead of letting my own mind answer it’s questions, I had a better idea. Keeping my pace as such, I moved towards them only to get surprised by what I had seen.
A girl!
She wasn’t a human. Her scent was telling me that she was a werewolf, but I couldn’t decipher her pack. She looked a newbie. Maybe she just shifted a while ago; I concluded this from her messy look and the signs of pain over her face. She surely was having difficulties. What she was doing with these rogues?
“Come on girl. You made us chase you for so long and so far. Now is the time to feast. Come here.” Rogue #1 said trying to touch the girl. She looked pathetic, haggard, and scared out of her wits; scared so much that she wasn’t even able to Utter a word in her defense.
‘A wolf can’t be that weak!’ My mind again interfered and I hushed it.
“Are you for real? You slut. Dancing in the bar and not letting anyone touch you! Are you pretending to be some saint?” The rogue #2 slapped her and she fell to the ground. Tears stained her cheeks. Even though, it was late at night and only moon was showering its light; I could see everything- a benefit of being a werewolf.
Wait...! Tears…! But wolves can’t cry.
Curiosity surged into my cores and I stepped further. She shivered more. May be guessed who I was. I could see obedience in her eyes. She sensed my Alpha place. She was new to all this. No matter who she was, where she belonged to; all I had to do was save her right now. The other things could wait.
“Hey you, step aside.” I said aloud. The rogues turned towards me and grinned. Okay, now I am annoyed. Why do these humans can’t keep their cocks in their pants! I wonder.
“Brother, we chased her for a long time. Let us have her first. You can have her later. Don’t meddle in between.” The rogue #3, fatty with below average height said with a stuttering voice; after-effect of alcohol, I guess.
“Go away.” I ordered and helped the girl getting up. She was barely able to stand at her own feet; hence used my shoulder to lean on. A sense of protectiveness ran through me. I want to protect her.
That’s it.
The rogue tried to drag her by her wrist; bruised already. She must have protested a lot. Rest assured girl. Now you have me. But she winced in pain. I slapped the human out of reflex.
“How dare you touch what’s mine to protect?” I said in my alpha tone, which certainly wasn’t a good idea to begin with. The girl looked at me with her wide down curved green eyes; an innocent soul.
“Huhhh..! Yours? We three chased her. I paid the manager of that bar to have her for tonight. But this slut… she ran away.” Rogue #2 said.
“I am saying this last time. Fuck off. You won’t like the consequences.” I barked at them. They were scared, I sensed it. But still, thick-asses.
“Please, help me.” I heard her faint sad voice. She almost begged me with her eyes. I secured her under my hand tightly around her waist assuring her with my eyes that she won’t be harmed if I am with her.
Not long before, Noah and James stepped out, dishelved. They were in the middle of a great sex. My Alpha tone must have dragged them here. I had seen it coming already. I gestured Noah to pull up his zipper. Embarrassment ran through his body. His blonde mate would have to teach him many things. I am looking forward to it.
Before they could ask me the matter, James, my delta, tightened his nose. He had found his mate two years back when he was just sixteen and today was here to just chill, because I commanded him. His expressions sent me a clear signal that he was ready to bite those fat-asses, but I gestured him not to.
Those rogues had sensed it. Turning towards Noah and James, they knew what they had landed themselves into. It was still a good time for them to leave. One of them noticed the color change in James’ eyes. He was ready to shift.
“He ... he ... he is a monster. A monster…” The fatty cried out, startling the other two bastards.
I signaled James to get a control over his wolf. They were humans, not werewolves. They started to run. Noah chased them out to the territory of werewolf world. I told him to make them forget this incident using my mind-link.
“What the fuck Noah. Get back here. I am in need.” I heard his blonde mate in my head due to the mind-link. She won’t spare him. (Chuckled).
“Thank you for helping me. I will go back now.” The girl tried to slip away from my hold, but I wasn’t letting her go that easily; not before she would answer my questions.
“Sure enough. Let’s treat your wounds first, and some of my questions too.” I carried her towards the other house nearby; James accompanying me with a first aid box.
RECOMMENDED SONG:**Sweet Creature By Harry Styles**ALARICI was sleeping soundly after the hectic day that involved military training some new little pups who just came of age and joined the soldiers of the pack. My body ached after tirelessly training them for eight long hours. I needed a nap; a good one.But suddenly, I felt a rush of adrenaline in my body and was jerked from my sleep when pain shoot through all my bones. A bone-crushing pain!“What the heck!” I whimpered. I should not have. I am the Alpha. But I did anyway. Hoping it to be something muscular, I slept off again only to be welcomed with another surge of thunderbolt-like feeling in my body. All my cells shivered in horror.I stepped down from my bed and peeked at the clock. It ticked to four in the morning. So early! I was never an early bird. Before my thoughts could take over, I let out another whimper when I felt the same excruciating pain in my spine. It wa
VIVIANA I stepped down from my car. Well, it’s not even a car. It’s a cab, to be precise. My high ankle black boots made boot-y noises over the hard asphalt road outside my workplace: The Police Station, The Precinct. Yes, I am an Officer in the South City Precinct. I have been working as an investigating officer for one year now. Yesterday was my first work anniversary. Unfortunately, it got to spend it running after those bastards; the criminals. What a fate I have! I was about to settle over my desk when Emma smacked my ass. She always does that. I kind of am habituated now. She wiggled her eyes in all possible directions. “Hey, hoty, what’s up?” She has that British accent that I am fond of. That is the only thing about her I love the most. She smacked oy when she had a favor to ask. I crossed my arms across my chest. “Spill it,” I ordered. Emma joined as my junior six months ago, but she is such a trouble maker. May it be on-duty or off-d
VIVIANA“Viviana, I want you and Emmy to take over this case. It’s a peculiar one,” said Captain. I and Emmy exchanged confused looks. Was he doing this? For sure! The last time he handed Emmy a case, she messed up so bad that Captain had to apologize. She punched the criminal right in front of the media. Stubborn girl, and easily pissed.“Don’t give me that expression. Viviana, make sure you handle the media. I have some trust issues with this girl.” Captain handed me the file. I glanced. It was a drug case. Not again. The last time I got involved in a drug case, Miracle got agitated. I couldn’t afford that again. It’s been a month since Miracle and Emmy made a tour in the city forests. We had been busy. Emma was in a learning mode. To my bad, I was her mentor. What a fate!Emma took the lead and stepped out of Captain’s office. She was excited. Thrilled, to be precise. Her eyes beamed. I bet adrenali
ALARIC“What happened here?” I frowned. I was sitting with dad, discussing some military changes he seemed when Noah called me. He said that it was horrible. It was. Indeed. Brutality screamed in this place. Everything was ruined. Those trees…my dad planted them with my late grandmother. We used to play here. Sister Gianna loved being here.Anger surged through my veins. “Who?” It was a question that messed my interiors. I could feel Moon getting agitated too. Noah looked perplexed. He glanced at those peach trees again. They were shattered to the ground. They were broken and cut down. All the peaches were crushed to an extent that the pulp had been soiled.“We suspect it to be rogues, Alpha.” Noah picked a full peach and cleaned it with his shirt. He would much it later. Not only sister Gianna, but Ashton and Noah too love those peaches and cherries. This area of forest belonged to the Windsor family.“Wha

She just squealed “Mate.” How could I not hear it? My nerves were jammed. It felt like I didn’t exist now. It was just Miracle and the person she squealed for.My mate!I turned around. My hand clutched those handcuffs tightly around Marcus’ wrist. I felt him groan in pain. He was the least of my concern. Emma noticed the change. She had seen my eyes. I know Miracle was taking the front.I saw him. Him! Who was he? He was My Mate. My supposed mate. I should have been happy. That was how I should have been. That was how it had been for every werewolf. Grow up, find your mate, get married, birth pups, and perform all your duties. He kept staring at me. I analyzed his eyes. They changed color.“Viv, what are you waiting for? He is our mate. Go t
RECOMMENDED SONG:**Hurts so good by Astrid S**ALARIC“What is it after Viviana?” I questioned Viviana just she was about to leave. She rejected me. Her mate. She didn’t give any reasons, just rejected me. That was hurting. I was hurting. Moon was hurting. Everything was hurting. It was just a moment ago when I relished her sweet scent, her heavenly aroma. The kiss we just shared… I couldn’t explain the feeling. I was out of words. It was such a moment. She gave me the right to kiss her. But then, she took away everything. Why? This why must have been the exact question in my mind, on my lips. But strange. It wasn’t.She did something to me. Instead of blaming her for the pain, the hurt she just caused me, I was worried. Yes, I was worried about her, her feelings, her emotions. I was worried that she must be hurting too. I was worried that she was in pain too. Stupid mate thing. She turned. Her round gre
VIVIANAI exited the street. I wasn’t certain of my words. I said that I would reject Alaric always. This day turned out to be the worst. And yet, it was just noon. I had to spend the remaining day at the precinct. I moved ahead leaving Alaric in that street we just kissed twice. My eyes searched his figure. He was nowhere to be seen. My heartfelt shattered. I felt shattered. Alaric must have been shattered. Stop it, Viviana, don’t think about him. Remember, you just rejected him. You rejected your mate, an Alpha.Oh shit! What did I do? I should have run away. I should have never faced him. I should have stopped all this. This was a mess. A mess I created. I landed my ass into this. But Alaric seemed to be a good man. Okay, a good werewolf. He didn’t show any anger. Was he angry?‘Oh Jesus, just shut up,’ I yelled at my brain. It made me insane. I hoped Miracle to take control. But she didn’t. She wasn’t anywhere
ALARICI stepped down and entered the garage. Well, this was a garage. Winter, my best warrior wolf owned it. He was a car freak. He desired money to set up the business. I landed him some. Now, it was the best garage in the whole town. Winter and his ways of dealing with rogues had always fascinated me. I saw how he ripped apart one’s head with his bare hands. I knew he was a keeper. He respected me. I respected him.Winter was a part of the pack. His father served the pack army. He died in the incident with my father years ago. Winter had no siblings. The only thing he loved was cars. I passed the garage. Winter bowed. His way of respecting. I nodded. He assured me. This wasn’t good. For that rogue. The corner door of the garage opened. We stepped in. I followed by Winter and Noah. James stayed out. Winter leads us to the dungeon in the basement. The walls were silent. They had always been. Good for torturing. I smirked. ~TWO YEARS LATER~ALARICI had a meeting to attend in the other state. I checked the clock. It was already 8 in the morning. And I was making breakfast. I flipped the pancake-like a pro. Satisfaction washed over me. I recalled my earlier cooking days. It was such a mess. I was punished every time I was mistaken, or something burned. And my judge was none other than my beautiful wife, Viviana. Yes, we got married almost a year and a half ago. Viviana insisted I learn how to cook. She wanted privacy. So, we didn’t have any regular cooks or maids. It was an advantage. We used to fuck everywhere in the house. It was such a time. Even after almost five hundred and fifty days of us being husband and wife, the romance, the steam, and spark were high. Viviana was always ready for it.Such a naughty wife she is! I chuckled at the thought. Yesterday, Viviana spilled a full bowl of ice cream over me when I just stepped out of the shower. She giggled and
VIVIANA“Stay there, wolf. Don’t step ahead with those judging eyeballs. This wouldn’t have happened if you listened to me. I told you to let her be. But you…” Selena scoffed. I looked at her dark eyes. It was coming. The truth. Alaric didn’t have to hear it like this. I didn’t want it. But guess I was already out of options.“What do you mean? You kidnapped Gianna, you hurt her, and you say you want the good for me? Aren’t you being diplomatic here?” Alaric asked. He wasn’t calm. Not yet. His popping veins confirmed it. But Selena was correct. He wasn’t a fault. This was all predestined. The catch was, that we had our choices to change the course of destiny. It was horrible.“What do you think? Oh! You naïve Alpha! Do you think all this… is about you?” Selena paused and laughed. Her laughter echoed. Baspo and Noah had left with Gianna already. Selena d
VIVIANA“Viviana, what’s this place? I… how you do know about it? I have never been here before! What’s all this?” I heard Alaric behind me. I calmed. Lady Ravoise vanished. Baspo stayed at the abode. The reverse waterfall returned to its original state. Everything went back to how it was earlier.“It’s The Óre,” I said to a baffled Alaric and Noah. They were covered in the same robes that Baspo had. I was laced with the flames.“I sensed Gianna here. She is nearby. I suggest that we should split and search for her.” I said. Time was running. We had to find Gianna before midnight. Once the moon was at its peak, Selena would be able to get away, even though I succeed in defeating her. I didn’t wish that.I wanted her end. Today. Here. Right in this place.Alaric scanned my eyes.“I want the same.” He whispered in my ears. I ordered Baspo and Noah to search t
VIVIANA“Baspo, we need to hurry. We are running out of time.” I urged Baspo who kept guiding me the way. We were away from Alaric and Noah. They couldn’t enter without being allowed. But Gianna did. That was another question. I couldn’t get to rephrase it. I heard a howl. A loud one. It collided with the sky and reverberated back. Straight into my ears. To be precise, Miracle’s ears.Miracle paused. Baspo didn’t. He kept moving. His pace was fast. Faster than I anticipated. He understood the situation. But how would he react after getting to know about his late mother? Another upsetting question.“Luna, what happened? Why did you stop?” Baspo made it to my mind. He linked with me. Strange! How was that …?“The Goddess…” I heard Miracle say. Okay, so the legendary Moon Goddess, Selene, blessed me with the power of mind-link without marking my mate! Impressive.“That how
ALARIC I couldn’t believe my ears. Did I hear it correctly? Did Viviana say all that? Was I hallucinating? Well, it wasn’t me to be precise. It was Moon and Miracle now. We shifted as per Viviana’s say. She mentioned that she know where Gianna was.It was good. I felt relaxed, although just 0.1 percent. But at least, something was better than nothing. She mentioned some place called The Óre. I never heard of it before. Not in my whole life. And Viviana insisted that the place had been in Samara since the beginning. How weird! I wondered if my family was cognizant of that Óre.We geared up and Viviana chose to fill me through what happened to her on the way. She said we were an hour away from that place. I wanted that. I wanted answers. That would calm my racing mind and heart. And the moment she started talking, I was horrified.Selena Dark, Selene- the Holy Moon Goddess, The Óre, Gi
ALARICMoon let go of me the moment Miracle shifted. It was all weird. So strange. So different. So impossible. I was short of words. What the hell just happened?I witnessed it. Miracle was all wrapped up in the fire, raised from the ground, howling at the Moon. The next moment, she was eating it. She just ate that shit or whatsoever it was, to begin with. The most insane thing about all this mess was that she was fine. Not even a single burn. Not a single scratch. She looked like a newly polished mirror. Was I even saying it right? My words and sentences appeared jumbled. Well, not my fault. It was the situation. It was a situation. And now, Viviana was here. She lay unconscious in my arms, and naked too. I felt like transported back in time. It happened before. That Forest of the city. She was like this that day too. I saw her mark for the first time.My eyes followed her curves and landed on her mark. It was glowing. Same as the other da
VIVIANA I kept staring. My eyes wanted the goddess to answer. Why wasn’t she saying anything? I was restless. Gianna was out there, captive. I had to save her. We need to go. And here, she wasn’t ready to talk.“You want to know?” Selene asked. Her angelic aura was so pure. She was heavenly. She was the mother. Whenever she said anything, I felt calm. My anger subsided. I was melting. I nodded.“Selena is born out of hatred, jealousy, anger, and broken heart, as I mentioned. And you, Viviana, weren’t supposed to be a pure-blooded Sun-wolf. But your mother was anxious. She was afraid. She was scared for your future. So, she promised Zelda.”“At that time, Zelda didn’t know the truth about Selena. She borrowed the power of anger, and fury and cast it into your mother’s womb. That power; was nothing but Selena’s part.” Selene mentioned. I gasped. What the hell
VIVIANAThe woman smiled. I was disgusted. How dare she? She even infiltrated my mind! I won’t let her be. I was furious. I wanted out. I wanted Miracle to stay aside. But Miracle wasn’t in her senses. She was eating fire like pancakes. The sun was nowhere. The full moon decorated the sky and the fog cleared off my mind. Gianna. I remembered her. She needed me. Now, more than ever. And I was here. My wolf was busy eating the fire, and I was fucking trapped in her mind with this woman.“How dare you? Where is my sister? Where did you keep her?” I shouted at top of my lungs. We searched the whole Samara, but Gianna was nowhere. Noah kept hearing her loud cries in his mind. While I and Alaric couldn’t do anything.I have never been this useless in my life. I felt pathetic. But the woman smiled. She kept smiling.“Stop smiling, Selena. Answer me, where is my sister?” I kept asking. The woman started approaching
VIVIANA Alaric b haves strange and so did Noah. They were covering their ears as if something bothered their nerves. I sat silently. But my mind was a cyclone. Every passing second gave me anxiety. I was scared for Gianna. Where could she be? How was she? I didn’t know it. I didn’t know any of it.Alaric huffed. His condition wasn’t good. Noah’s eyes were red. He was in pain too. What the hell was happening exactly?“Miracle, what is happening?” I asked my wolf. Maybe she sensed something that I couldn’t. Miracle growled, grumbled, winced, and then whimpered. She was in pain.“Mate is suffering,” Miracle replied with a whimper. Moon wasn’t in a good state of predicament. Time wa running. I touched Alaric’s shoulder. He eased a bit. Another moment leaped, and Alaric appeared good.“What was that? Miracle said Moon is in pain. What hap
