Now refocusing on the bitch beneath my paws, I snarl at her remembering her words moments ago.

"My mother," I snap, forcing a link with her in my anger and automatically connecting with Elias too. "Did you have anything to do with my mother's death? And what do you know about red wolves?" Pauline just snarls, trying to move beneath my weight. I push down harder on her, wanting to make her talk, to explain. "Tell me!" I bark, "what did you do? What do you know?"
