Andy
They walked to a restaurant that was frequented by the college students. It was a pocket-friendly place with a warm vibe to it. The walls were painted yellow and the place was decorated with cheap roadside paintings. Wasn’t very well lit, but the tables and cutlery were clean.
“This place isn’t much but the food is good,” said Andy, a little embarrassed by his choice of restaurant.
“It’s perfect! It's nearby too! Let’s order,” said Anya. “What would you like to have?” she asked, checking the menu out.
“Paneer tikka masala (cottage cheese curry with spices and veggies) and roti (Indian flatbread made out of whole wheat flour),” said Andy, happy that Anya wasn’t stuck up on material
AnyaHer phone showed a few unread messages and missed calls from Andy. She had put her phone on silent mode during the fest and then forgotten about it. She scolded herself. Thankfully there were no calls from the station.<Andy> 12.05 am Hi. Reached safely. Sorry to leave in a hurry.<Andy> 12.20 am Sleep well. Good night :-) (smile emoji)<Andy> 2 am I have beaten up the bastard since you didn’t attend your call. What should I do next? She immediately dialled his number. He attended the call in the first ring.“Hi. Thanks for calling, “ he said. He sounded angry.“I was asleep
Anya had a busy day. She reached the station after visiting Sushant’s place, just in time for lunch. Before she could settle down for her meal Eknath, her constable knocked at her cabin door and walked in.“Sorry Anya, I know you haven’t had lunch yet but we need to go to KEM hospital urgently,” he said.“What happened?” Anya pushed the plate of food aside, picked her baton and cap. They headed out in a rush.“A 14 year old junkie is battling for life. He was found in a gutter in the Janata Vasahat (name of the slum) slums,” said Eknath as they drove towards the hospital.“What else did
After that day Andy did not meet Anya. He was busy with his submissions and studies while Anya was busy with her work. They continued chatting but avoided speaking about that evening, both denying their feelings for each other.Mia continued her college fearlessly. After Andy’s stunt, Sushant did not return until his exams and even after that he was too busy to bother her. By the time his exams were over Mia was on her summer vacation. When they were a couple, Sushant had avoided meeting or interacting with her parents which was a blessing in disguise as she hadn’t taken him home. This break helped her heal and her night terrors reduced.By the time Mia returned to college, Sushant was gone for his internship. She soon discontinued her anti-depressants when her suicidal thoughts reduced. She continued her self defence training along with her s
A 12 year old Anya was looking for her brother. Sana stood smiling in an alley next to her shanty. “You are my best friend”“And you are mine!” Anya hugged Sana. The hug brought warmth into her body. Separating herself from Sana, she continued, “Have you seen dada? I haven’t seen him since I returned from school.”“He will be back soon.” Sana fiddled with her hair. “I needed to tell you something.”“What?” she saw Sana shift uneasily, checking the surroundings for any eavesdroppers.“I have a crush on dada.” She blurted out as if trying to finish speaking before her courage left her and then looked at Anya with scared eyes.
Andy had big dreams. His childhood had been fun with enough love, care and money to get him the things he needed. But he did not have tryst with luxury. There were many wants and desires that had eluded him. It wasn’t as if he had any complaints but he had aspirations. And why wouldn’t he? He was the smartest fellow in his batch. He had topped Uni. He had always been one of the top rankers. There wasn’t an exam that he hadn’t excelled at and he had also been the top performer in his batch during his OJT (On job training). The results were good. He joined a development project as a Lead and reported for work in the first week of Jan. That day, after he went over to Mia’s, they ended up having a great time. He didn’t tell Mia about Anya. He felt guilty that he di
He reached his apartment, kicked off his shoes in anger and plopped on the couch in his living room. He was still seething with anger. All the while his mind pulled up sexy images of Anya and made him feel hornier and madder. He felt like going over to Dr Rahul’s and punching him until his smiling smug face was unrecognisable. But he wasn’t a brute. He knew it wasn’t Dr Rahul’s fault. If Anya wanted to move on, she could. They hadn’t committed to each other. It was just a night of passion and amazing sex. It was his own fault. For him, it was more than the sex. He was the one who believed in a spiritual connection with his partner. He scowled at nobody in particular. His thoughts must be too old-fashioned for a cop who has seen almost every vice in this world! He hated the fact that she had dressed up for someone else. He hated that she would be going back with someone else and hated that she might end up having sex with someone else.
While Andy tried to distract himself by punishing his muscles, the story was different at Anya's end...What a night Anya had with Andy! First time in her life after her brother’s death she felt genuinely cared for.Andy was a lovely guy and a breathtaking partner in bed. He had given attention to her every reaction. She had a great time and some earth-shattering orgasms. She didn’t feel for a second that he was a novice. In fact, she enjoyed guiding him to do what she wanted. But things didn’t go the way she would have wanted them to.She had actually believed that being with Andy would have avoided the nightmares. Her psychiatrist was the best in town and he had clearly said that her nightmares were a product of her loneliness. She was shocked to see Andy staring at her with sympathy in his eyes when she had woken up with yet another reminder of what she had lost when her brother saved her.She didn’t k
Rahul looked at Anya’s worried expression as she punched in the number again to call. “He isn’t attending right?”"Do you know who I am calling?""Yup! The guy glaring at you in Night N Gale? Andy, right?" he asked. She looked at Rahul and shook her head. She didn’t know what she was supposed to do. Why was she getting worked up by Andy’s behaviour? It wasn’t like he was her boyfriend. But he was special to her. The only person who she had been able to connect with, at an emotional level!“Do you want me to drop you over at his place?” said Rahul, frowning.“I don’t know his address,” she disconnected the call and put her cell phone in her clutch purse.“Are you a cop or what? Oh, God!! Don’t tell me that you are too drunk to remember!” Rahul teased.“Oh yeah! No… Not drunk, just tired. Suddenly off the adrenaline from the evening ru
Anya She looked at her phone as Andy disconnected, promising her to call back. It was past midnight and he would be reaching sometime in the morning. She might as well sleep. But she was super charged. She looked at their bedroom. It looked empty without Andy. It wasn’t like she hadn’t stayed here alone before, neither was it like Andy had never stayed away. He had been away for a month before this. Yet, knowing how far away he was made it all the more difficult for her. She missed her boyish boyfriend. She tapped at the back of her head, “No silly! Your fiance!” She said aloud to herself and beamed. She repeated the word fiance, letting her lips purse as the word rolled off her tongue. It sounded scary, scarier than the bullet that almost hit her today. But it was happy and scary, she loved the apprehension. She couldn’t believe that after being alone for a lifetime, she was blessed with such a loving partner who understood her work and the uncertainties that came with it. Ex
Andy He stepped into the flight and was welcomed by a pair of smiling air-hostesses in their beautiful deep red, almost purple outfits. One of them held out her hand for his pass, inspected it to find his seat and escorted him inside. She asked for his baseball jacket, reached up on her toes and tucked it away in the rack. Andy could not help but notice how toned her body was. “My name is Aisha. Happy to have you on board. Enjoy your flight, Sir!”, she said as she caught his stare. Are they trained to make you feel welcome and maybe a little extra comfortable, or was Aisha flirting with him? He brushed the amusing thought away as she went away to serve the others. Andy sighed seeing the single seat with the purple and cream upholstery lining the window. It was early in the morning and it was still dark outside. The previous night he had been up packing and watching his sexy fiance sleep. He hated being away from her for so long. Especially because of her crazy, risky assignments.
Anya (two days back) She had returned earlier than expected. Opening the door to Andy’s house with her spare key, she entered the living room and made a beeline for the kitchen. Andy would have left her favourite chai, the sweet tea latte in the flask. She loved how thoughtful he was. Regardless of the stress he was dealing with, he would always be mindful of her needs! Over the last few months his playfulness had consistently reduced due to the increasing pressures of his work life but he had not allowed that to affect his time spent with her. She poured herself the chai and curled up on the couch in the living ro
Andy Andy sat in his corner office on the top floor. The office had a view to die for. He had just returned from Ahmedabad where his company had sent him for a month-long executive leadership program at the Indian Institute of Management, the IIM, the top management institute of the country. He looked out of the glass walls at the distant Mula Mutha river snaking through the city in a steady stream. He was now a member of the Royal Connaught Boat Club too. The top of its majestic building was just about visible from his Southern window. He looked forward to the weekend with his boating buddies. It was good to be back. Lately, his team was giving him some trouble and he could feel the resentment affecting their work
After the movie, they went to bed in each other's arms. Anya woke up in the morning with her back resting comfortably against Andy’s athletic body.Something hard poking against her butt made her heart skip a beat as Andy caressed the side of her face. He let his hands move to her naked shoulder where her loose T-shirt had fallen off-shoulder exposing her smooth wheatish skin.He left soft feathery kisses at the nape of her neck gradually working his way up until he reached the back of her ear. She was waking up with a burning desire between her legs. She moaned and turned around to meet his lips with her own. Thanks to Andy her nightmares had finally reduced. It had been a night of peaceful sleep cradled in the arms of her lover. She wasn’t sure if she felt guilty about forgetting her brother but
Dane wanted Jenny to meet his family. They settled the bill and a chirping, chortling Jenny left with Dane. She was a little high. The couple's happiness was addictive as Anya looked forward to getting some free time with Andy. Mia wanted to go for bike ride and poor Raj acceded to going back to his flat in the city. Everyone could see how smitten he was with Mia. Anya had a sense that he wasn’t really planning to let Mia off the hook that easily. She would need to run him through the system. After all Mia was her friend now. Anya and Andy decided to spend the rest of the evening together. The only place Anya wanted to be after such an exciting day was in Andy’s arms, relaxing at his house, in the TV room. His house felt more like hers now. They put up a Boll
WHAM! Anya punched Sushant in the face. “That’s for what you did 3 years back. I was the cop who put you behind the bars and I won’t hesitate again. Stay away.”Impressed by Anya’s outburst, Raj glared at the excuse for a human in front of them, “who is the joker?”“Her ex!” Andy replied, gesturing towards Mia who stood stunned at the turn of the events.Anya had enjoyed the movie. She loved masala Bollywood movies but Iron Man 3 was a good movie too. More than the movie she enjoyed watching it with Andy and his group of friends. For the first time, she felt she belonged in a group. It was a group of people from diverse backgrounds with varied interests and differe
Hearing the unspoken words and acting on unexpressed feelings can sometimes bring peace to two aching hearts who share the same emotions.Author Kat KyleThe two lovers decided to take their relationship to the next level without an explicit proposal. They both knew this was what they wanted and the rules of the world mattered very little when your hearts are connected.Anya’s phone had Andy on speed dial so she could connect quickly with him. Eknath at the police station knew about this new development but Anya kept their relationship a secret for everyone else. She had a spare key to Andy’s house. Anya reached the entrance of the restaurant Night N Gale and bumped against Andy. He looked angry. His jaw was set and the scorching glare from his eyes almost burnt Anya. She gave a sweet smile, “Let's go. My jeep is just around the corner.”Andy was very angry. Why did Anya have to go alone on these dangerous missions and go incommunicado? She almost gave him heart failure. The last time she did something like this she got stabbed. She had no family or friends who could care for her. Thankfully this time he was around! He wanted to care for her, he did not want to be away from her anymore. He pulled her outside the restaurant, ‘you are coming with me. Let Eknath know. He is waiting with your constables. I dropp
