Crane’s POV.

What I did was the right decision. I can’t say it is the best but it was better. I always knew Amelia was special. From the day they brought her into our castle till now I knew there was something about her and if she transformed, my brother will use her for his evil deed.

Charming her was not my intention. She was just so different; her scent, aura, hair and blood. It didn’t really an alpha scent but something more than that and I knew that she deserved better.

I couldn’t really stand still and watch them bully and torture herself every time; especially that Lydia, my brother’s luna. No one will tell her but we all know that she is jealous of Amelia. Maybe she also senses her aura as well.

That night under the moonlight I had accepted her, rejecting her was the best option at that moment. If I had accepted as my mate then things would have gone really bad for her and I didn’t want that. I love her. From the first day she came into the castle I have loved her and that is the reason I will not allow my brother use her.

I was at the engagement dinner and a couldn’t find Amelia anywhere. I didn’t see her throughout the day and I was hoping to see her during the dinner. Karla, her best friend was there so where was she? I called for Karla.

“Where is Amelia?” I asked her plainly.

“She got cut in the kitchen. Couldn’t heal fast.” She told me.

I sighed and waved my hand for her to leave. Honestly, it was better that she didn’t come so that I will not be distracted. After that night we haven’t talked.

I didn’t know what to tell her because nothing can make up for what I did. whenever she serves, she always looks at me. I could see it in her eyes, she wanted me to say something, but at the end I always disappointed her.

“Crane, is something wrong?” Eliot asked. I looked at him. He is the cause of all this. The sad part of everything is that I don’t have the guts to speak. I could never speak up to my alpha. they will have me killed.

I gave a small smile. “All is well.” I assured him.

Eliot gave me a smile and stood up. He picked up is glass of champagne and a fork and hit the glass lightly with it to get everyone’s attention for a toast.

“Thank you all for coming here to celebrate our union with us. We hope with this alliance will be able to make both packs prosper. To Cresent moon!” he said and raised his glass.

“To Cresent moon!” we all responded with our glasses raised. I looked at Lydia. She was so happy and it made me sad. She had no idea that my brother was just using her.

The dinner was finished and it was time for the ball. I had to change my outfit to suit the ball. it was a masquerade party so we all had masks. The maids had helped me get changed it was reaming the tie.

There was a knock on the door and I heard the door open. Only one person will come in without permission and that is Eliot. I was staring at the mirror. I didn’t want to look at him.

“Leave us.” I heard him say.

I was by the mirror trying to my tie, I was kind of struggling with tying. Eliot came over and offered to help. I couldn’t say no. he sent all the maid away and I certainly can’t tie myself.

“Don’t mess this up for me.

This is very important for our pack. If this doesn’t go through, you know what will happen.” Honestly, I didn’t know what would happen if things went wrong. He finished with my tie and pat me on the back.

“I will see you out there.” He said and left.

By the time I came down for the party, it was already in full bloom. All the guest had already arrived and they were all dancing. It was so beautiful. I will not lie; my brother has good taste when it comes to things. He and Lydia were on the dance floor with other guests. I stood by the side.

I wasn’t really in the mood to dance that day knowing that this is all a scam. The music stopped and other guests clapped.

Suddenly, the claps stopped and it was like the world was still; still for just one person, never know never seen.

A lady made it stop. She took the crowds attention. It was like she was the one getting engaged and not Lydia. Before I could turn and ask who she was, wolves were already asking her for a dance. I could tell she was trouble.

Amelia’s POVI wanted to steal the show, and I made sure I did.It was the first step to my plan. I wanted to get not only Eliot’s attention or the alphas present, but the entire crowd. I wanted to make Lydia feel threatened. To the other wolves it might not be a problem but to she-wolves, especially the ones that are to be mated to someone like an alpha that has so many wolves to his disposal, it is a problem.Immediately I came inside the ball room, a lot of wolves were asking me for a dance. I felt amazed. It was the first time I had a choice but this time I had to be very precise. My fate lies on this very ball.None of the wolves asking for my hand caught my attention. I needed to get Eliot’s attention and that is by dancing with and alpha, especially one higher than him. I gave one of the beta’s my hand first; the strongest one I could sense. I didn’t want anyone to discover my plan so I took it nice and easy. He was kind enough to take me to the middle of the dance floor. He

Jackson’s POVI didn’t want to come for this wedding in the first place but I hand no choice. I hate the crescent pack; they are lairs and manipulators. I told everyone but they didn’t believe him. Eliot knew I hated him so him sending a special invitation didn’t come as a shock to me. he probably wants to rub it in at he has a mate now and that to with another pack. I had to attend if not it will be a sign of rebellion and might cause a war among wolves. Even though I know I will win, after all I am in strongest alpha, I didn’t want to cause an unnecessary fight. It would just be worth my time.I knew the party would be luxurious, but Eliot took it too far. I didn’t really care though; it is not my wedding neither is it my money. I saw the order of event and I couldn’t help but laugh. A three-day event? Anyways I could care less. One of the maids escorted I and my right-hand man to our room. It is not really normal for an alpha to share his room with someone but this is Eliot’s wa

Jackson’s POVShe turned around and held her chest.“I am so sorry. I didn’t mean to startle you.” I apologized immediately.“It’s fine. I just didn’t think anyone would be here.” She told me with a little smile. We were both silent for a while. I looked at her and I couldn’t help but stare. She was wearing a mask but she still looked stunning especially on the black dress.“So, what is a pretty girl like you doing here all alone?” I asked. I was just curious.“Nothing.” she told me.“I doubt that.”She looked at me and sighed. I gave her one of my enchanting smiles.“Its complicated.” She finally said.“Try me.”She told me that she needs to dance with an alpha because he has a lot of power and connection. A more powerful alpha than me? I could hardly believe that. From the way she talked, she was distressed and confused.“And what might be the name of this alpha?” I asked. She looked not convinced, like she wasn’t going to tell me. I wasn’t going to push it. It was her problem after

Jackson’s POV I waited midnight with my right hand-man, Drake. At midnight, I went to the balcony immediately. I saw her there still in black and on her mask. She was looking at the moon, when she noticed me, she turned and looked at me. We both stared at each other for a while. I didn’t know what to say.“Alpha, if you don’t mind can we find somewhere more private? I would like to speak to about something important.”“Sure.” I said and inhaled. I led the way to my room. I sat at the end of the dinning table in my room while Drake stood behind me. the girl in question stood on the other end.“Alpha of Cresent moon is trying to cause a rebellion. This whole marriage is a way for him to take over is bride’s pack. He has done this to so many other packs and taken a lot of wolves and need you help to stop. I humbly ask you to help me.” she told me.“And I can safely assume that you are one of the wolves he took.”She was quiet for a while. “Yes.”I didn’t say anything more. I was sure

Jackson’s POVI didn’t know what I was doing or why I was doing it but something was so special about her. first of all, I thought she was my mate but if she was, she was supposed to feel it too, right? she is meant to feel the longing I feel as well. After the talk I had with her this morning, I was really reconsidering the thought of her being my mate and the marriage.Oliva came in right after her and bowed like always.“Did you find anything” I asked him.“She was brought here was a child and has work here ever since. There is no trace of her family or her pack. Many of them think that she was abandoned by her pack.”I already know that. I to know more. I sighed. “Anything else.”“Yes. I heard she had a mate.”I turned. “She had a mate?”“Yes. Apparently, it was the alpha’s brother.”“Crane?”“Yes, alpha.”I took a deep breath. “What happened?”“He rejected her on the day of the ritual.”Is that why she can’t feel what I feel? “Any reason?” I asked him.“None given. Amelia POV.I didn’t really know what this guy was thinking. upon the condition he still wanted to marry me? Any other wolf would have rejected it immediately. The wedding went smoothly without a word from him. I didn’t really panic because I didn’t want to get my hopes up. The rejection from Crane thought me a very big lesson.During the reception as I was serving, his right-man came and dragged me out and gave me a dress to wear and asked me to go for the reception where I saw him call me his bride and mate. When Eliot stopped us, I thought it was over but he held my hand and gave me a beautiful smile. I felt safe at that moment; like anything could happen and I would come out without a scratch. I looked at him as he spoke to Eliot and his brother. He looked so confident, like he could do anything he wanted. I couldn’t help but admire the way he talks, the way he moved and that smile that exposes his white teeth. Amelia’s POV "Holy guacamole," I gasped, staring up at the castle before me. The structure was immense, looming over the landscape like a giant. The towers were tall and stately, the walls thick and imposing. Every surface was carved with intricate patterns and designs, making it seem like a work of art more than a fortification. I had never seen anything like it before, and it took my breath away. “You like what you see?," Jackson asked, his voice almost reverential. "This is way better than Elliot's castle," I said, i didn’t say it because I disliked Elliot, it was the truth. Jackson let out a laugh, his eyes dancing with amusement."You've never been one to mince words, have you?" he said, leading me towards the massive doors of the castle.I grinned, feeling the thrill of anticipation coursing through me. "Nope," I said, the word popping from my lips like a cork from a bottle. "I'm always honest, even when it gets me into trouble."Jackson chuckled, shaking h

Amelia’s POV I stayed put in my room, heartaches from what Simon had said to me last night, heaven knows I was not willing to stay here and go through any kind of insult. I had already faced that in Elliot’s pack.A knock at the door, distracted my thoughts and I shrugged to respond.“Come in” I said“Good morning Ma’am Amelia” the maid greeted, her twinkling eyes. I had no idea why she was smiling.“Alpha Jackson wants to see you” she statedI furrowed my brows, questioned on why he wanted to see me. Was it to apologize for what Simon had said last night? Of course I was pissed on how he had treated me last night, like a piece of trash, a gold digger who needs their wealth and power to survive. “Ill be down in a jiffy” I said to the maid as I watched her walk out of my room, closing the door gently.I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, I looked so different in just a night. I shook of the thought of ever becoming a permanent member of this pack. I couldn’t forget the main re

Jackson's POV.I sat down and observed as the werewolves from the Dark Moon Park damaged some of my belongings. I was unable to intervene, and I also found myself unable to stop pondering on Amelia's facial expressions. Why did she believe I had tried to trick her? Why didn't she let me to explain myself to her? How did she come to lose her trust in me.I could hear Simon yelling at the vandals, but they persisted in ruining things. I recollected when Alpha Alexandra had informed me that he would ensure my demise. How could she have allied with the Crescent to accuse me of her abduction? I was unable to suppress a sardonic chuckle, akin to a deranged individual devoid of any will to live. Simon gently placed his hand on my shoulder, and I returned to the present moment. "Brother!" He called out with a tone of restrained ire. I glared at him like I was interested in what he wants to say. "We can't let this happen right?" I immediately took my gaze off him and placed it on my index

Jackson's POV.I'm sure the Crescent have bad intentions concerning tonight but I just have to be here because of Amelia, I need to see her and I need to get her back to the park. Ever since she left, I haven't concentrated on anything at all. I won't let tonight pass. I thought to myself as we the Blood moon walked into the Crescent mansion, earlier today we got an invitation to their banquet. Simon stepped out and came back when we have been taken a table reserved for us. "Brother." He started. "Are you sure you need to be here?" Simon asked. "Yes." I replied with a convinced look. "I just got a call from an informant." He said leaning close to me. "He said what the Crescent are planning isn't something small but it wasn't detailed." He continental half whispering. I paused for a while and glance at him. What could be their plan? "Perhaps it was why we were invited?" I smiled calmly wanting to know what's going to happen, suddenly, Crane walked towards us, holding a gla

Jackson's POV cont'd.I quite underrated the Crescent. Perhaps it has been the reason why she was taken away from her family in the first place. Amelia might not really take it in soft if she finds out I know that she has a park and the same time I can't just let go of her. No I and the Crescent needs to settle things well, But how? I moved around my study, trying to figure out a solution to my confusion. I settled down on my seat and pondered on the conversation that went between i and the Crescent until Simon entered the study. "What's the next step? Amelia will surely be returned to her park and I'm sure she wouldn't want to have anything to do with the Blood moon anymore." Simon said as I stared into thin air for a while. "Keep a close watch on the Crescent. There's something that isn't proper around there." "Ok brother but you need to be calm. We just need to get to see Amelia and I believe she might want to hear you out." He said. "Mmm." I said nodding my head.

Lydia's POV.Why does Elliot keep insisting on helping Crane get back Amelia. I know he want the power and wealth from the Dark moon park but Amelia always looked dangerous to me. I scoffed. Now Crane has succeeded in kidnapping Amelia, this will lead to dispute between the Blood moon and we Crescent, but Alpha Elliot seems to care less about it. Gosh! These brothers are driving me insane! I moved around my room with a glass of wine in my hand already looking pissed. I know Elliot never really liked me from start that's why he keeps ignoring my words and I can sense his fishy relationship out there. I thought it was just me but I'm convinced there's another in his life. I must keep a close eye on him. Yes I'll do that. He keeps avoiding me during the day and keeps moving out of the room during the night, there's something he isn't telling me and I'm sure his Beta is aware of all that's happening. Alpha Elliot I'll get to the bottom of this, you wait and see. I kept pondering in my he

Jackson's POV cont'd.After the dinner, a palpable sense of exhilaration filled the car as we returned back to the mansion. We arrived safely but we didn't speak as we went upstairs, I know I wasn't having this silence. As soon as we got to the front of her room, her grabbed her by her waist and gave her a deep kiss, we moved inside her room still kissing as we gently took off our clothes, I slowly but manly placed her on her bed and kept kissing her, down to her neck as well, I could hear her soft moan and I was in for tonight. Suddenly I felt a strange presence around the mansion, I sniffed, and sniffed again as my eyes turned blue, I stopped kissing Amelia and kept sniffing."What's wrong?" Amelia said with a very low tone, like a whisper. I tried to ignore the presence and continue but it wasn't working."I can smell the presence of rogues." I paused and stood up still sniffing. "The rogues are here. Stay here and don't go anywhere." I said putting on my clothes and heading out. I

Amelia's POV.Few days after the night I and Jackson had sex, I've been wondering if he actually want me. Is it that he isn't into me? Does he even like me or he still sees me as one he helped after been rejected? I walked in front of the mirror in my room and stared at my reflection. Right now I need Lia to comfort me so bad. I called out my wolf and she appeared, taking over my reflection. She looked at me like I'm crazy, I know what she might be thinking. "Don't be hasty to conclude he isn't into you my dear." She said. "I mean... I like him already but I feel he doesn't." "Of course he does, who knows he might be thinking the same, that's why he's taking it slowly. Don't get too hasty and don't forget that Crane's still there fighting to get you back." She said "I don't love him anymore. Years have passed and I can't still hold onto what I've dropped a long time ago." I said. There was a time I still held unto to fact he will come back to me. I know he had his reaso

Jackson's POVMy eyelids parted gradually in response to the gentle intrusion of sunlight, its radiant beams penetrating the room through the parted curtains, illuminating my waking consciousness. I turned to my right and saw Amelia still sleeping peacefully and calmly like a child, I turned gently facing her in admirations. I remember what happened between us last night and I felt this excitement in my heart. "She's mine." I said to myself as I touched her lips and pecked lightly on her cheeks. Suddenly she made a funny noise like she was talking in her sleep, I couldn't help but chuckle to the sound. "Good morning." I whispered as she nodded in response turning her body to the left with her eyes still closed. I held her from behind, then her eyes slowly opened and she shyly took off my right hand from her waist, and slowly rose from the bed, stretching her neck. I sat up as well still staring at her. "Outch!" She said touching her waist. I took her right hand. "I'm so sorr

I tossed from one place to the other and finally had a seat in my study. my wife Lydia walked in and sat on another seat a little bit away from me. "Crane's been stubborn concerning his decision. Does he ever thought that Amelia would buy all his lies." She said rolling her eyes. I took a sip of the already poured alcoholic wine in a glass on my table. "It his decision, let him handle it." "Okay..." She said standing up. "I wonder how Amelia would feel when she finds out about her park." Continued walking towards me. "Do you think Crane might have told her? You know he can do anything." She bent down a bit and pecked me on my right cheek. "Crane wouldn't do that. I know." As I turned my chair to face my window ignoring my Luna. Jackson's POV.I wonder how Amelia would be feeling right now. I hope she doesn't think much of what happened in the Crescent. I smiled to the glass of wine I was drinking. I need to get home quick, I just want to see her. There was a knock at the door and my beta walked in. "Alpha, madam left the house to meet up with Crane this evening." My beta said. "What?" I said standing up from my chair. "And they are still in the restaurant." As he spoke, I got more and more upset as I remembered their discussion, the dance and the touches. Is she going to truly leave the Blood moon? Has she accepted him so fast? Did he tell her the reason behind her rejection? Does she even know she was kidnapped? Gosh! So many questions crossed my mind. "I get it." I said as I sat back down."Would you like me to take you there?" My beta asked. "Not yet. She moved there willingly, she'd return. Just observe what's going on there." "My informant is still there Alpha. I'll go first." He said and w
