Amelia’s POV

It has been three months now since all this happened and Crane and I have barely met eyes talk more of speaking. I didn’t want to speak to him. There was nothing to say. He never loved me I was a very big fool.

A party was held and all wolves around the states were coming. Alphas. Beta and she-wolves. The alpha of our pack was having his mating ritual with his mate Lydia so it was a big thing. I was cleaning the floor of the hall when someone poured water on the floor.

I looked up and it was Lydia. I didn’t even know what the alpha saw in her. She is so rude and cruel.

“You were dreaming of becoming a luna but you ended up back where you belong. You will always be the maid.” She laughed and left. I wasn’t really bothered. That is how she is.

Always trying to get on my nerves. Then I used to get angry but now I don’t feel anything.

I finished cleaning the hall alone and was going through the hall way when I heard some people quarrelling in the room.

The door was a little open so I couldn’t help but eavesdrop. I heard Crane’s voice in inside.

“I don’t understand what you are doing brother. You do understand that it is important for you to do this ritual.” Crane said. It looks like he was arguing with the alpha.

“I know it is but it is also important that we take over that pack. We will be the most feared pack in the whole country.” The alpha said.

“Eliot, if you do this Lydia will never forgive you. She will be your luna for Christ’s sake.” I heard Crane from inside.

“It doesn’t matter. She will not be able to leave me as far as we are married.” He said without concern.

“This is the same thing you wanted to do to Amelia. You took her away from her pack and wanted me to mate with her so that you can go back and take over her pack.” He blurted out. I could hear anger in his voice.

I grasped. What did he just say? What did he mean by that?

“Who is there?” I heard alpha say. I covered my mouth and hid immediately. Someone opened the door and after sometime the got shut.

I ran as fast as I could to my room. What did he say? That they stole me. So, I am not an orphan? I didn’t know how I was supposed to take this news. The thought of having a family out there made me happy and angry at the same time happy that I will finally have a family and I have people who will support me and not treat me like shit but I was angry at the fact that they were not here.

Didn’t they care to look for me? Or do they think I am dead. I was also angry at Crane and his brother. Why did they take me? Am I special? All I knew was that I wanted to know and I will do everything in my power to know that truth and put these people where they deserve. That I promised myself.

Karla walked into the room. she was my roommate. She looked at me concerned. I didn’t allow her ask any question.

“Karla, I need your help.” I told her.

“What do you need?” she asked

“I need a dress and a mask. I will attend the party.”

It evening and the engagement party starts in three hours. Most people go into the mating ritual immediately but this alpha wanted a big engagement party to show that he is wealthy or they want to hide the fact that they want to take over the future Luna’s pack. Honestly speaking, Lydia deserved it.

It is meant to be a three-day event. It starts with an introductory dinner. Only alphas and their Lunas will attend the dinner. It is very private and only specific maid can serve. Thankfully, I wasn’t chosen to serve at the dinner. Then the ball where everyone will be in attendance.

They even gave us uniforms for the first time. From what I heard from other maids that have stayed longer, it is a very beautiful and big party and they will be a lot of beautiful and handsome she-wolves and betas there. The alpha wanted a masquerade party for his engagement he says he wants to create some kind of suspense.

Then the wedding and the next day is the mating ritual. The mating ritual binds wolves together and makes them stronger. That is why the mating ritual is the most important and why she-wolves go for strong and gifted wolves.

My plan is to find my real pack, at any cost and that is why I am attending the party. I waited for Karla. I knew she will find a way. The dinner was almost over and I have not heard or seen Karla. I told her exactly what I wanted and I know she will get it for me at any cost necessary.

I was pacing round the room waiting for her. It was almost time for the party and I was already losing hope. Just when I was about to leave the room and go look for her, she entered the room with something wrapped in a black cloth and shoes.

I was honestly relived

“What took you so long?” I asked her.

“I had to serve at the dinner and you know that.” She answered and shut the door. “Crane asked of you.” She informed me.

“And what did you tell him?”

“That you were sick in bed and couldn’t heal.” She told me. Wolves that can’t transform take more time to heal.

“Did you get the dress?”

“Yes.” She spoke. She unwrapped the black cloth and brought out a black lace dress with a black mask.

“This will be enough to do the job. I went through great lengths to get it.” She said and raised the dress to my eye view.

The dress was really nice. It didn’t show much but at the same time it gave a kind of seductive vibe to it. It had a little V-neck line which I am sure will expose a little bit of clearage and a deep high slit. I was sure it was going to steal the show.

“Thank you, Karla.” I told her sincerely.

“It is nothing. Here is an invitation.” She said and gave me the invitation card to the party, “stole it room one of the rooms. Since I told Crane you are sick, I will be taking your place. Good luck.” She said and left the room.

I put the dress close to my chest and looked at my self through the broken mirror in our room. I knew I had to do this. It was the only way I could get answers and stop Crane and his brother from getting more power.

I made sure to take a good sure and I stole Lydia’s makeup beforehand. I didn’t do the type of makeup that Lydia always does, I did something mild that only enhanced my features. I finally wore the dress and Karla really out did herself.

She really knew what fit me and what didn’t. the dress looked amazing on me. I wore the mask. it was showtime!

Crane’s POV.What I did was the right decision. I can’t say it is the best but it was better. I always knew Amelia was special. From the day they brought her into our castle till now I knew there was something about her and if she transformed, my brother will use her for his evil deed.Charming her was not my intention. She was just so different; her scent, aura, hair and blood. It didn’t really an alpha scent but something more than that and I knew that she deserved better. I couldn’t really stand still and watch them bully and torture herself every time; especially that Lydia, my brother’s luna. No one will tell her but we all know that she is jealous of Amelia. Maybe she also senses her aura as well. That night under the moonlight I had accepted her, rejecting her was the best option at that moment. If I had accepted as my mate then things would have gone really bad for her and I didn’t want that. I love her. From the first day she came into the castle I have loved her and that is

Amelia’s POVI wanted to steal the show, and I made sure I did.It was the first step to my plan. I wanted to get not only Eliot’s attention or the alphas present, but the entire crowd. I wanted to make Lydia feel threatened. To the other wolves it might not be a problem but to she-wolves, especially the ones that are to be mated to someone like an alpha that has so many wolves to his disposal, it is a problem.Immediately I came inside the ball room, a lot of wolves were asking me for a dance. I felt amazed. It was the first time I had a choice but this time I had to be very precise. My fate lies on this very ball.None of the wolves asking for my hand caught my attention. I needed to get Eliot’s attention and that is by dancing with and alpha, especially one higher than him. I gave one of the beta’s my hand first; the strongest one I could sense. I didn’t want anyone to discover my plan so I took it nice and easy. He was kind enough to take me to the middle of the dance floor. He

Jackson’s POVI didn’t want to come for this wedding in the first place but I hand no choice. I hate the crescent pack; they are lairs and manipulators. I told everyone but they didn’t believe him. Eliot knew I hated him so him sending a special invitation didn’t come as a shock to me. he probably wants to rub it in at he has a mate now and that to with another pack. I had to attend if not it will be a sign of rebellion and might cause a war among wolves. Even though I know I will win, after all I am in strongest alpha, I didn’t want to cause an unnecessary fight. It would just be worth my time.I knew the party would be luxurious, but Eliot took it too far. I didn’t really care though; it is not my wedding neither is it my money. I saw the order of event and I couldn’t help but laugh. A three-day event? Anyways I could care less. One of the maids escorted I and my right-hand man to our room. It is not really normal for an alpha to share his room with someone but this is Eliot’s wa

I just didn’t think anyone would be here.” She told me with a little smile. We were both silent for a while. I looked at her and I couldn’t help but stare. She was wearing a mask but she still looked stunning especially on the black dress.“So, what is a pretty girl like you doing here all alone?” I asked. I was just curious.“Nothing.” she told me.“I doubt that.”She looked at me and sighed. I gave her one of my enchanting smiles.“Its complicated.” She finally said.“Try me.”She told me that she needs to dance with an alpha because he has a lot of power and connection. A more powerful alpha than me? I could hardly believe that. From the way she talked, she was distressed and confused.“And what might be the name of this alpha?” I asked. She looked not convinced, like she wasn’t going to tell me. I wasn’t going to push it. It was her problem after

Jackson’s POV I waited midnight with my right hand-man, Drake. At midnight, I went to the balcony immediately. I saw her there still in black and on her mask. She was looking at the moon, when she noticed me, she turned and looked at me. We both stared at each other for a while. I didn’t know what to say.“Alpha, if you don’t mind can we find somewhere more private? I would like to speak to about something important.”“Sure.” I said and inhaled. I led the way to my room. I sat at the end of the dinning table in my room while Drake stood behind me. the girl in question stood on the other end.“Alpha of Cresent moon is trying to cause a rebellion. This whole marriage is a way for him to take over is bride’s pack. He has done this to so many other packs and taken a lot of wolves and need you help to stop. I humbly ask you to help me.” she told me.“And I can safely assume that you are one of the wolves he took.”She was quiet for a while. “Yes.”I didn’t say anything more. I was sure

After the talk I had with her this morning, I was really reconsidering the thought of her being my mate and the marriage.Oliva came in right after her and bowed like always.“Did you find anything” I asked him.“She was brought here was a child and has work here ever since. There is no trace of her family or her pack. Many of them think that she was abandoned by her pack.”I already know that. I to know more. I sighed. “Anything else.”“Yes. I heard she had a mate.”I turned. “She had a mate?”“Yes. Apparently, it was the alpha’s brother.”“Crane?”“Yes, alpha.”I took a deep breath. “What happened?”“He rejected her on the day of the ritual.”Is that why she can’t feel what I feel? “Any reason?” I asked him.“None given. Amelia POV.I didn’t really know what this guy was thinking. upon the condition he still wanted to marry me? Any other wolf would have rejected it immediately. The wedding went smoothly without a word from him. I didn’t really panic because I didn’t want to get my hopes up. The rejection from Crane thought me a very big lesson.During the reception as I was serving, his right-man came and dragged me out and gave me a dress to wear and asked me to go for the reception where I saw him call me his bride and mate. When Eliot stopped us, I thought it was over but he held my hand and gave me a beautiful smile. I felt safe at that moment; like anything could happen and I would come out without a scratch. I looked at him as he spoke to Eliot and his brother. Amelia’s POV "Holy guacamole," I gasped, staring up at the castle before me. The structure was immense, looming over the landscape like a giant. The towers were tall and stately, the walls thick and imposing. Every surface was carved with intricate patterns and designs, making it seem like a work of art more than a fortification. I had never seen anything like it before, and it took my breath away. “You like what you see?," Jackson asked, his voice almost reverential. "This is way better than Elliot's castle," I said, i didn’t say it because I disliked Elliot, it was the truth. Jackson let out a laugh, his eyes dancing with amusement."You've never been one to mince words, have you?" he said, leading me towards the massive doors of the castle.I grinned, feeling the thrill of anticipation coursing through me. "Nope," I said, the word popping from my lips like a cork from a bottle. "I'm always honest, even when it gets me into trouble."Jackson chuckled, shaking h

Jackson's POV.I sat down and observed as the werewolves from the Dark Moon Park damaged some of my belongings. I was unable to intervene, and I also found myself unable to stop pondering on Amelia's facial expressions. Why did she believe I had tried to trick her? Why didn't she let me to explain myself to her? How did she come to lose her trust in me.I could hear Simon yelling at the vandals, but they persisted in ruining things. I recollected when Alpha Alexandra had informed me that he would ensure my demise. How could she have allied with the Crescent to accuse me of her abduction? I was unable to suppress a sardonic chuckle, akin to a deranged individual devoid of any will to live. Simon gently placed his hand on my shoulder, and I returned to the present moment. "Brother!" He called out with a tone of restrained ire. I glared at him like I was interested in what he wants to say. "We can't let this happen right?" I immediately took my gaze off him and placed it on my index

Jackson's POV.I'm sure the Crescent have bad intentions concerning tonight but I just have to be here because of Amelia, I need to see her and I need to get her back to the park. Ever since she left, I haven't concentrated on anything at all. I won't let tonight pass. I thought to myself as we the Blood moon walked into the Crescent mansion, earlier today we got an invitation to their banquet. Simon stepped out and came back when we have been taken a table reserved for us. "Brother." He started. "Are you sure you need to be here?" Simon asked. "Yes." I replied with a convinced look. "I just got a call from an informant." He said leaning close to me. "He said what the Crescent are planning isn't something small but it wasn't detailed." He continental half whispering. I paused for a while and glance at him. What could be their plan? "Perhaps it was why we were invited?" I smiled calmly wanting to know what's going to happen, suddenly, Crane walked towards us, holding a gla

Jackson's POV cont'd.I quite underrated the Crescent. Perhaps it has been the reason why she was taken away from her family in the first place. Amelia might not really take it in soft if she finds out I know that she has a park and the same time I can't just let go of her. No I and the Crescent needs to settle things well, But how? I moved around my study, trying to figure out a solution to my confusion. I settled down on my seat and pondered on the conversation that went between i and the Crescent until Simon entered the study. "What's the next step? Amelia will surely be returned to her park and I'm sure she wouldn't want to have anything to do with the Blood moon anymore." Simon said as I stared into thin air for a while. "Keep a close watch on the Crescent. There's something that isn't proper around there." "Ok brother but you need to be calm. We just need to get to see Amelia and I believe she might want to hear you out." He said. "Mmm." I said nodding my head.

Lydia's POV.Why does Elliot keep insisting on helping Crane get back Amelia. I know he want the power and wealth from the Dark moon park but Amelia always looked dangerous to me. I scoffed. Now Crane has succeeded in kidnapping Amelia, this will lead to dispute between the Blood moon and we Crescent, but Alpha Elliot seems to care less about it. Gosh! These brothers are driving me insane! I moved around my room with a glass of wine in my hand already looking pissed. I know Elliot never really liked me from start that's why he keeps ignoring my words and I can sense his fishy relationship out there. I thought it was just me but I'm convinced there's another in his life. I must keep a close eye on him. Yes I'll do that. He keeps avoiding me during the day and keeps moving out of the room during the night, there's something he isn't telling me and I'm sure his Beta is aware of all that's happening. Alpha Elliot I'll get to the bottom of this, you wait and see. I kept pondering in my he

Jackson's POV cont'd.After the dinner, a palpable sense of exhilaration filled the car as we returned back to the mansion. We arrived safely but we didn't speak as we went upstairs, I know I wasn't having this silence. As soon as we got to the front of her room, her grabbed her by her waist and gave her a deep kiss, we moved inside her room still kissing as we gently took off our clothes, I slowly but manly placed her on her bed and kept kissing her, down to her neck as well, I could hear her soft moan and I was in for tonight. Suddenly I felt a strange presence around the mansion, I sniffed, and sniffed again as my eyes turned blue, I stopped kissing Amelia and kept sniffing."What's wrong?" Amelia said with a very low tone, like a whisper. I tried to ignore the presence and continue but it wasn't working."I can smell the presence of rogues." I paused and stood up still sniffing. "The rogues are here. Stay here and don't go anywhere." I said putting on my clothes and heading out. I

I called out my wolf and she appeared, taking over my reflection. She looked at me like I'm crazy, I know what she might be thinking. "Don't be hasty to conclude he isn't into you my dear." She said. "I mean... I like him already but I feel he doesn't." "Of course he does, who knows he might be thinking the same, that's why he's taking it slowly. Don't get too hasty and don't forget that Crane's still there fighting to get you back." She said "I don't love him anymore. Jackson's POVMy eyelids parted gradually in response to the gentle intrusion of sunlight, its radiant beams penetrating the room through the parted curtains, illuminating my waking consciousness. I turned to my right and saw Amelia still sleeping peacefully and calmly like a child, I turned gently facing her in admirations. I remember what happened between us last night and I felt this excitement in my heart. "She's mine." I said to myself as I touched her lips and pecked lightly on her cheeks. Suddenly she made a funny noise like she was talking in her sleep, I couldn't help but chuckle to the sound. "Good morning." I whispered as she nodded in response turning her body to the left with her eyes still closed. I held her from behind, then her eyes slowly opened and she shyly took off my right hand from her waist, and slowly rose from the bed, stretching her neck. I sat up as well still staring at her. You know he can do anything." She bent down a bit and pecked me on my right cheek. "Crane wouldn't do that. I know." As I turned my chair to face my window ignoring my Luna. I said standing up from my chair. "And they are still in the restaurant." As he spoke, I got more and more upset as I remembered their discussion, the dance and the touches. Is she going to truly leave the Blood moon? Has she accepted him so fast? Did he tell her the reason behind her rejection? Does she even know she was kidnapped? Gosh! So many questions crossed my mind. "I get it." I said as I sat back down."Would you like me to take you there?" My beta asked. "Not yet. She moved there willingly, she'd return.
