Camille, who had fallen on her butt due to shock began to instinctively scurry further away from Vincent who extended a helping hand, the whole world turned around in her head in half a second.

“What the hell is happening? How, how am I here?” Camille mumbled to herself.

The pain was livid, the torment, torture and betrayal came rushing back like a flood of adrenaline. She subconsciously touched her stomach and the spot where she was stabbed but it didn't hurt. “My baby!” She gasped.

“Camille, are you alright?” A very confused Vincent asked.

She made a halting sign with her hand, stopping him from approaching her any further. “Stay away from me!” She screamed at him.

Instead, he laughed softly, like it was funny. “I see you're still hungover, luckily; I made some soup I'll dish some for you.” Vincent said, thoughtfully.

Camille jumped to her feet and slowly backed away. “Don't come near me, I'm warning you!”

Vincent raised up his hands, chuckling while she dashed into the bathroom. She stared at her reflection in the mirror and almost fell backwards, the second time. She touched her face and every other part of her body only to realize they were still intact.

It was as if nothing and happened yet she vividly remembered dying, an excruciatingly painful death. ‘This can't be happening,’

A phone vibrating caught her attention, she took it and saw it was a message from Amelia. The phone was Vincents’, it was hard to miss that detail.

Hi, is Camille awake yet? Tell her I'm sorry I couldn't take her home myself, I have to get to work, her mother also left a message when she dropped by, take good care of her, thank you!

Camille scoffed at the message, something else caught her attention; the date. It was exactly two weeks before Vincent and her got married  and four years before she died…he killed her.

Nothing made sense, how she was alive or back in time but a knock on the door interrupted her thoughts. “Soup's ready.”

She scoffed and dashed out of the bathroom, brushing shoulders with Vincent on the way, owning to her memory, she easily located her car keys and phone, she grabbed both and headed for the door.

“Where are you doing?” Vincent asked, worriedly.

Camille turned around to look at him, it was exactly as she remembered. They went clubbing the previous day as she had won a huge contract and she got wasted, he ended up bashing anyone who tried to get bear her, took her to his place and cleaned her up.

They were engaged but he treated her like a queen, his most prized treasure. She loved him even more deeply because of these little details, he was her prince charming.

“Don't follow me.” She warned lightly before leaving.

She easily found her way around and located her car, she got in and headed for the highway, to clear her head since everything seems unrealistic and strange, she got a call from Amelia but she rejected it, Amelia left a voice mail.

Hi Camille, Vincent called and informed me you're acting weird, seems you're upset with him. How about we meet up after work and talk about it? Love and kisses, Amy.

Camille scoffed as she listened to it. ‘Bloody hypocrite.’ She muttered as she took a sharp turn and changed the course of her journey.

Her rumbling stomach reminded her she had thrown up all the food in her stomach and she was now starving. She pulled up in front of a breakfast cafe to get some coffee and croissant.

After getting a hot cup of chocolate, she bit off half a croissant and ate the hit snack, blowing air into the air as she ate, momentarily distracted, she bumped into someone.

The coffee spilled on her, the hotness scaldint her hand.

“Holy cow! Why don't you watch where you're going?” She fired, hotly.

“What did you just say to me?” A deep baritone voice resonated.

Instantly, her eye shot up to see who it was, she stood before a tall masculine man dressed in an all expensive tuxedo, he appeared to be in his late twenties. His eyebrows carved into a frown that appreciated his beautiful face even more.

His shirt was equally stained and he looked ready to war. “You should be apologizing for bumping into me.”

Camille's guffawed mockingly. “Are this usually blind? You bumked into me your ugly mouse!”

The man's face widened in shock. “Ugly mouse?” He thundered.

Giving him no time to retort, she snatched the little handkerchief he intended to use to clean up his shirt from him and gently dabbed it on her hand. He made to speak but she shot him a death glare.

“You don't know how to respect a woman, do you?”

“You called me an ugly mouse? No one's ever called me ugly!” The man voiced his displeasure and he released his killer aura, those around began to murmur, cowering away in fear.

Originally, Camille would have apologized but she was in a shitty mood already, about to explode.

“Do you prefer wretched rat or blind bat?”

“What?” The man blurted, about to spit out blood.

“You should watch where you're going, now you e ruined my breakfast with your stupid masculine build and your annoyingly perfectly sculptured handsome face and tantalizing voice. You did this on purpose aren't you? Are you trying to hit on me because sunshine, I will not fall for this old trick of us.” Camille uttered.

The confused man was taken aback by her rudeness and shamelessness, she was obviously that one at fault, she peered behind him and saw a familiar face standing there with a pale expression, the short potbellied man reeked of luxury but she ignored it.

“Do you realize who I am?” The man thundered, yet keeping a calm demeanor.

“Don't know, don't care.”

“I'm Nico Giovanni

“Doesn't ring a bell, word of advice Nico Giovanni, I'm Camille Salvatore, you're standing in the most populous and advanced city in the world, look me up!” She bragged then clicked her tongue before throwing his handkerchief to his face.

She snickered and began to walk away from him. ‘He says he's Nico Giovanni, who the hell knows him?’

Half an hour later, she arrived at a conserved estate and as she drove in she inhaled sharply, aware of the consequences of her actions.

If her suspicions were true then there was no better place to be than there. She parked the car and proceeded into the house.

“See who's decided to step into the house after swearing never to do so.” A masculine voice laced with resentment lashed out.

Camille snorted. “Where's she?”

“Away, on a business trip, not that it's any of your business.”

Camille shook her head and threw her car keys at him, he caught it and she walked past him, heading for the stairs.

“There's no room for you here, where do you think you're going?” The man called out her.

“My room, do me a favor and have the maids bring me some decent food will you? I'm starving.” Camille said, ignoring him.

“You little brat!”

“I love you too Bernard.” Camille retorted, dismissively and walked away.

She kicked the door to her room open and sniffed in the familiar scent of lavender that always graced the room. Her eyes became teary seeing her things intact.

Her mother has always kicked against marrying Vincent and she cut off all relations with her when they got married, the poor woman was right after all.

Shedding the layers of her dress away, Camille found her way to the bathroom and turned on the shower faucet, letting the warm water running down on her body.

Her head ached knowing that she died but was given a second chance, but this time she could correct her wrongs. She hissed as water came in contact with her hand, it had gone red from the hot coffee scald and she cursed the ‘ugly mouse’ for it.

Plunging herself on the comfy bed, she fell asleep, determined to restrategize once awake. ‘Hello new life.’
