Lily looked up to see it was her roommate, Jasmine who had made the snarky remark.

"If you have a better solution why don't you bring it out instead of delaying someone who does?" She snapped with a glare startling Jasmine and her entourage.

"You!" Jasmine yelled but after getting a glare from the girl she kept quiet and turned to Mark.

"Young Master Mark, it would be better if you find someone else to help you! This girl is too poor to have anything that can help, I bet whatever she is applying will only cause more damage," Jasmine explained, her voice gentle and pretentious.

With an eye roll, Lily turned back to Mark to make sure he was still cool with her using the serum.

Mark ignored Jasmine's words and gave Lily a piercing stare, "Use it," he ordered and Lily immediately got to work, her hands trembling from the fear of the unknown.

What if this serum from an unknown origin adds to the problem? What will I do? Will I have to die again without getting my revenge?

She thought

The officers searched the room, their eyes scanning every nook and cranny, leaving no stone unturned. They moved quickly but methodically, their movements practised and were efficient. Nothing was overlooked, nothing left to chance. One of them wanted to prove Lily's innocence, having been from a humble background herself and the other just wanted to get the work over with so she could go back to watching the movie she had been seeing.Priscilla's side of the room was the last place to be searched and while everyone had different emotions showing all over their faces, Lily remained calm as she stood by the window with an expressionless face. "Found it," the first officer announced as he brought out the stolen items from Pricilla's wardrobe. Horrified gasps filled the air as all eyes turned to face the pale-looking Pricilla who instantly began to shake her head in denial."Who's side of the room is this?" the second officer asked and Lily pointed to Pricilla which earned her a glare

Lily slept through her alarm the following day, after the exciting night with the officers and her scheming roommates. She had gone to sleep exhausted but with a triumphant smile on her face after making the three bow to her. She stretched and noticed that her limbs had somehow become sore as if she had been running all night. Her throat felt dry and hoarse, she frowned and took a sip of water to moisturise her throat before trying but failing to get up from the bed. With pursed lips, she placed her fingers on her wrist to check if her pulse was weak but she found out they were stronger than they had ever been, which could only mean she was healthy.'But why am I sore all over?' she mused with a frown and got out of bed after much struggle. She prepared a warm bath to soak in and ease her sore muscles, letting out a sigh of relief as the warm water engulfed her body, she relaxed and closed her eyes.As she remembered the event from the previous night, a smile bloomed on her face and

"Boss, everything for the new device is ready and the sales team are ready for work, the stores are already stocked and waiting for your go-ahead," Ted reported through the computer screen, his eyes had heavy eye bag, showing his days of long sleepless nights for the project to be completed in time. Mark hummed in reply as he read the data report that had just been sent."Tell them to begin the sales tomorrow morning and the first fifty copies should be sold at a fifty percent discount," he instructed. "Have the media team also post on the official website that fifty copies can be custom-made while the others will be sold at the same prices and model," he added and Ted documented his instruction, not trusting himself enough to remember them afterwards."Then the fifty that will be custom made can also be sold at the discounted price? Wouldn't that be a loss to the company?" He asked with a frown. Mark placed his phone on the table and picked up the glass of red wine. "No, the cust

"Oh, I've heard of it! It's such a great product! I have also ordered it, but I can only afford it at a normal model rate; forget about custom-made; my father was reluctant to get me a normal model!" "Wait, isn't that Celina Williams? What is she doing in year two design class?" "Maybe she's here to scout for young designers for her family's company?""Even if she is, year two designers are still amateurs, and they don't have any immediate value. Besides, she is the young miss; why would she personally do such a thing?"The students gossiped as they passed beside the beautiful fairy-like lady standing outside the second-year design class. "Is it me, or does she look more beautiful than the last time?""It's not just you; I felt the same, but I thought I was blinded by the halo of her being my idol. She truly does look more beautiful than her runway show last month.""Do you think her beauty improvement is due to the new cosmetic product her family produced?""If it's not that, then what would it be? Do you think the training and the products provided by the school are enough?"As they gossiped, Celina continued looking at the entrance of the studio with anticipation in her eyes.

Following the acquisition of the studio building, Lily and Alana got busy with setting up the place in a week in preparation for the registration of their company. "You've not had anything since morning, you should eat something," Alana pressed as she brought out two bowls of instant noodles for the two of them. Lily glanced at the meal and scrunched up her nose, not liking the look and presentation. Since she had woken up as Lily, one of the things Victoria could not get used to about the previous owner was the diet. Not only had she been fed the best food since she was a kid, Victoria had a sensitive tongue and it wasn't easy to please her with food, which was why she learnt to cook early. Alana noticed her subconscious reaction and thought nothing of it."Sorry if you aren't fond of instant noodles, I wanted to cook but I was afraid I would burn down the building," she explained with flushed cheeks. Due to her excellent needlework, she had never been allowed to do anything that

"Wow!" Alana exclaimed as she looked over Lily's shoulder to see the design she had sketched out in her sketchbook. "This is beautiful!" She added and almost snatched the booklet away from Lily's hand to stare at the design.Lily hummed and handed the book to Alana before stretching her sore muscles. She had been working on the sketch all day without moving about. "It's still missing a few things," Lily announced, and Alana frowned. She gazed down at the sketchbook, taking in the intricate details of the gown drawn on its surface. The long, flowing fabric was adorned with a pattern of stars against a midnight sky. It was a breathtaking design, one that seemed almost magical. Something out of the fairy tales. Lily walked into the kitchen and poured herself a glass of water, taking a long drink before turning back to Alana. "It just doesn't resonate with me that was why it took me this long to finish it, I always feel something is missing," she said thoughtfully. "I can't put my fin

As Lily entered her dorm, the voices of her roommates died down, and she could feel their eyes on her, judging her. The three girls sat in a circle, huddled around their phones, whispering and snickering as she walked by. From the look in their eyes, she could tell whatever they were gossiping about had to do with her. Without paying mind to them, she walked towards her side of the room and began unpacking her things. Lydia snickered with a glint in her eyes as she walked up to Lily with her hands crossed over her chest. "So all you do is pretend to be ignorant and pure? I can't believe the most righteous low-class student who refused to bow to others is such a dirty slut that seduces her best friend's brother to climb up the ladder," she snickered provocatively. Lily pursed her lips and glared up at her. "You are always sitting around gossiping about other people's problems, yet you are on the edge of being expelled from the school due to your bad grades. Lily asked with a frown as she watched the video gotten from the camera close to the factory address sent to her.{The plate number index matches that of Mark's private car. "Is this all you found?" {There is a similar video of him returning back to the city. She picked a small hiking backpack from the closet and her wallet as she exited her apartment.{You are going to the factory?}"Yes," Lily replied calmly. "I think now is the perfect time to get the computer," Lily announced over the phone. "Given the news about his wife's scandal, Henry and William will be too busy to guard the company like a guard dog." "You want me to send people in there pretending to be electricians to retrieve the computer?" Bryan asked, and Lily hummed. "It will be a bit difficult for me to retrieve it at the moment." Lily replied. "Heard you've not been out of your apartment since the announcement. That's a week ago; that's unhealthy." Bryan sighed. "I'll come pick you up later today, and then we can discuss whatever your plans are." "There won't be a need for that," Lily gritted out as she worked away on her laptop. "I can't afford to be distracted right now.""Is this about Mark's engagement to Roseline?" Bryan asked, making Lily pause as her eyes narrowed at the screen of her laptop. Lily walked into the living room with an extra sway in her hips as she remembered the event from the previous night. A small smile played on her lips, feeling giddy and excited about the news from the previous night's banquet. She picked up the remote and turned on the TV while waiting for the news with a warm cup of tea in hand. However, instead of the scandal she was expecting, she was met with Mark and Roseline's red carpet photos. Frowning, she turned up the volume just in time for the reporter to announce:"Next on the line of news is Mark Watson, the newly appointed CEO of the Watson Group. The genius businessman has finally announced his engagement with Roseline Anderson, the popular A-list actress."Lily’s smile froze, the warmth from her tea doing little to quell the chill that spread through her chest. Her hand tightened around the cup as she stared at the screen, unable to believe what she was hearing.“Engaged?” She whispered, her voice shaky. “That’s not possible.”The

{Now we wait.} "Can you hack into the security cameras around here?" Lily asked as she returned to the main banquet, still holding the glass of wine in hand. As she walked in, she noticed Henry looking around the hall with a furrowed brow. His shoulders tense and his fingers tightly wrapped around the wine glass. She scowled, her eyes narrowing as she lifted the new wine glass to her lips just in time for Henry to look her way. He visibly breathed out a sigh of relief while his eyes held expectations at seeing her take the drink. {You should know that's a piece of cake. You want me to monitor Kate's movement?} "Yes, get the recordings and send them to the media. I want it to be the first news tomorrow morning."{Consider it done, my lady.}"How long will it take you to hack it?" Lily asked as she began walking towards the toilet area, where she could easily escape the crowd and get out of the banquet.{By the time you make it out, I'll be done.}"I need to pretend I'm affected by

"We got an invite from Hamilton to attend their end of the year banquet," Mr. Wallace reported as he gave the invite to Lily. Lily accepted the invitation, her eyes scanning the elegant gold-embossed card. The Hamilton End-of-Year Banquet—a perfect stage for her next move. She set the card down on her desk and looked up at Mr. Wallace, her expression neutral but calculating."Who else from the company received an invitation?" she asked."Just you, Miss Turner. It’s marked as a ‘personal guest’ invite," Wallace replied. "Of course it is. Henry wouldn’t miss the chance to match me with his son." Lily snickered as she read the details of the invite. Wallace hesitated, his expression full of worry. "Do you plan on attending? It’s bound to be a huge event, and given the recent public opinion about them, it may affect the image of our company if you are seen mingling with them." Lily chuckled softly at Wallace's concern, leaning back in her chair. "The Hamiltons love theatrics. If Henry

"I'll advise you to let go of your stubbornness and pay the money for the costume," David breathed out, his voice strained as he messaged his temple, trying to ease out the build up tension from the past few days. It's been three days of constant back and forth with Lily's Fashion team and his PR team about the issue of the costume, and despite knowing Roseline had been the one at fault, he had tried to play the game in the way that would benefit them. Who would have known that the person behind Lily was someone strong enough to throw his crap back in his face. His eye twitched in annoyance as he noticed there is another topic about the issue trending on almost all special media. To make matters worse, the other side didn't even hire internet trolls to boost the popularity of the whole fiasco. Instead, the situation had attracted enough audience purely based on Roseline's and Lily's reputation. One is the award winning actress from a wealthy family and the other is the winner of
