I woke up feeling as confused as ever. I had finally seen what the creature from my dreams looked like, I was very sure that it was a wolf I saw but still, I had no idea what it all meant. I remembered that Reine had left so abruptly the previous day and I couldn’t help but feel a sudden pang of loneliness that my only friend had abandoned me.

I did not dwell in the sad feelings and quickly took a shower to freshen up for the day then I headed to college and decided to be productive for the rest of the day but a part of me remained anxious to hear from Reine and have all the strange events explained.

As I attended my classes and saw to my tasks for the day, I found myself often distracted by a whirlwind of thoughts, I was still expectant to hear from my friend but I had to admit to myself that it was another thought that was at the forefront of my mind; the image of the man I had met the day before. My brief but intense meeting with Lucien was not like anything I had ever experienced, and the memory of that intimate time lingered in my mind.

I found myself reliving the intensity of his gaze, every time I thought about our interaction the spot below my collarbone throbbed. I couldn’t quite explain what happened in that moment, a connection had sparked between us and as if time had stood still and only the two of us existed, I felt bound to Lucien in a way I could not comprehend. It was like our souls had been longing for each other.

Unfortunately for me, every time I remembered the intense intimate interaction I had shared with Lucien, it also brought back memories of how he had walked out on me leaving me feeling rejected and undesirable without any explanation and my anger was renewed. No man had ever made me feel that way and I decided that no man would ever be able to make me feel that way again, strange pull or not!

That evening, as I left college and returned to my apartment I had a strange feeling like I was being watched, I kept on looking over my shoulders but I did not find anyone there. The feeling remained but I didn’t know what to do about it. I hurried home, entered my apartment building and headed to my floor. I got a whiff of the scent I had smelled the other day and I opened the door to my apartment in a rush expecting to see Reine and her brother Lucien but I got disappointed when I found that the house was empty.

I got something to eat and headed to bed half expecting to have the same dreams I had been having but it turned out differently this time. I slept completely undisturbed by dreams of strange places and strange creatures for the first time in a while.

The next couple of days seemed to go by like a blur. I continued in my daily routine but with the lingering feeling that I was being watched and followed everywhere I went.

It had hit the two week mark since the strange events that altered my life and I still hadn’t gotten word from Reine and her brother, I also didn’t get any dreams since the day I saw the wolf clearly. That morning I woke up as I would every other day and followed the same routine to get ready for the day. I headed out of my apartment to campus but this day was not like the others because something strange happened.

Immediately I stepped out of my apartment building, I found a very tall good-looking man waiting for me at the doorstep. He introduced himself as Isaac and told me that he had been sent by the Duvall family to deliver a very urgent and important message to me. He asked that I should follow him and assured me that I would be safe with him.

I didn’t want to trust him because he was a stranger, I was at a crossroads because I really wanted to know what was happening and see my best friend again but I was scared. As I was still thinking about what to do, I got a notification of a text message on my phone. I quickly grabbed my phone to check who had texted me and to my surprise it was a text from Reine.

The text I got read “Hi bestie, I am so sorry that it has taken me this long to reach out, my business at home is taking longer than expected. I know you have been waiting for my return and I don’t want you to be anxious any longer so I am inviting you over to my world. You will witness strange things but please do not be scared and trust that I would never deliberately put you in harm’s way. Follow Isaac and do as he says and I am sure you will get here safely, all will be explained once you get here and I will be waiting for you Aimee”.

As I read the text I became less anxious and scared of following Isaac. I told him I would go with him but I needed to get something very important to me from my house first. I went back into my apartment and headed straight to my room, and then I went to my jewelry box and grabbed an old locket that I couldn’t leave behind.

The locket was a small golden chain with a heart pendant and a tiny Jade stone on it. Inside the locket was an old picture of my parents and engraved on it were the initials LRP. I didn’t know what the initials meant but I figured it must have been important to my family.

Once I had secured the locket safely in my jacket, I headed back out to meet Isaac and told him I was ready to go. He led me to a very expensive looking car and directed me to get inside. After getting into the car, we set off, and although I was still unsure of our destination, I was sure of one thing: I was tired of feeling confused and not knowing what was going on in my life. I decided to uncover the truth, no matter the cost. I trusted Reine and knew that with my best friend by my side, I would face whatever challenges lay ahead and uncover the secrets of her family; secrets that I didn’t know would change my life forever.

I took a deep breath to calm my nerves that were getting worked up; I straightened my shoulders and prepared myself to face whatever was to come. I had no idea that no amount of mental or physical preparation could prepare me for where I was going and that the truth I was looking for would take me into an unknown world.

Lucien's POV I knew she was scared for our well-being. I too was scared as to what might be waiting for us when he got close to the pack. With each step we took, I could feel the dark aura of the dark forces all around the forest. It was thanks to the moon goddess that it did not spread to where we were able to camp. I knew what we were about to do was risky and we could not bring everyone with us so we did not gather much attention from anyone if any attack ensued, it meant we would not be able to protect ourselves very well.We walked a distance before we finally decided to stop. Our present location was at the peak of the aura of the dark forces. The aura was sucking up most of our energy. We had not worked for a while but it felt like we did and that was not good.So this was the plan. This was a way to weaken us so we would not be able to attack and defeat them. The dark Lord knows that he is no match for us. Our wolves were strong and with just a single bite they would die. Th

Aimee's POV A part of me told me I had made a mistake by using my powers to heal him when I was down but another part of me questioned why I would sit and watch my mate die. I could not sit and watch Lucien die.He was my life. Even if I died, he needed to live for his people, for Reine. With me, I doubted we would be able to save them. Lucien was the alpha. He had trained most of his life for this so if I could save him I took that chance. For two days, my entire body felt like I was hit and was under a truck. I could not move nor could I open my eyes. I was conscious but still, I could not do anything. I could still remember what I did last before falling unconscious and wanted to see him. I wanted to be sure that it worked but I could not do that. When I finally opened my eyes, I jumped out of bed and instantly regretted it. I still felt really weak. When I was finally able to move and taken to him, he was still unconscious. I waited for days for him to wake up but he was growing

Lucien's POV The moment that sword went through me, I lost every bit of strength I had. I knew the sword was not an ordinary sword. It was laced in wolf's bane. If it were ordinary swords, I would have been able to get back to my feet, but with the wolf's bane, it paralyzed me. I tried to get back on my feet and fight but I knocked to the ground. I tried to fight it and get back up but my body shook with my pain replaying in my mind again. I pushed it aside but still, I could not. No matter how much I tried to fight this, it felt like I was only pulling myself down. I could sense that we were losing. My people needed me. They needed their alpha. I kept telling myself to stand and to join in the fight until my body could no longer take it. Wolf's bane knew how to travel fast and knew how to paralyze every avenue for wolves to heal themselves. It was dangerous for us, as that was our vantage point. Something was not right in this attack. I had so many questions as to how the dark Lo

  • The Rebirth Of The White Luna   Chapter 32: Is This The End???

Aimee's POV I was frozen in that spot, my hand behind my back as the other covered my mouth. My heart was so close to thudding out of my chest, killing me before this general did. My stomach was turning into so much anxiety. I felt twigs snap, indicating the general was walking closer to me. No, no, no. I yelled in my head as I shut my eyes and felt the general get closer to me. “We need to meet the dark Lord now,” the leader of the generals yelled and I heard the general close to me sigh. I felt another whoosh of air and the general was no longer close to me. I heaved a sigh of relief, placing my hand on my chest as I slowly took another peek at them. They all walked into the castle, shutting the main door behind them as they did so. I sighed again, as our only refuge had been taken over. Slowly, I backed away from there, heading back towards the direction I had come from. Not long after running back, I spotted Lucien and his betas coming towards me. Lucien was barely able

Aimee's POVAll that happened so fast that I was not given the opportunity to even call out to him. The words got stuck in my throat as I watched them drive the sword into him, making sure the tip of the blade came forth from his stomach.Lucien flew his hand to the stomach as he paused. His eyes locked on mine for only a minute before he dropped to the ground and Alec took the head of the dark force that did that to Lucien. I was rooted to where I stood, unable to move.Everything happening around me felt like it was being slowed down and I could barely hear or concentrate. My soul felt like it was being crushed. Lucien stood in all fours, then placed his hand on the injured part of his stomach. His face was very red, with his veins popping out at both sides of his head. He clenched his teeth together. My heart rate accelerated just looking at him. I wanted to move. I tried to move but it felt like I was no longer in control of my own body. There was fire, chaos, blood stains, and de

  • The Rebirth Of The White Luna   Battle At Mount Lupus.

Aimee's POVWe rushed forward to stop them from getting close to the room. The men looked nothing like I had imagined. They looked just like normal werewolves, but what made them different was the aura that emanated from them and the dark eyes they had.We transformed into our wolf form and louged at them, scattering as they were everywhere. We needed to eliminate them before they got close to Reine and the women. It was of utmost importance that we kept them safe. I clawed at their faces, disfiguring them as I took their eyes and lips.I clawed and swung at each and everyone of them as I moved. I eliminated most of the ones that crowded me and looked around. Lucien and his betas were busy with the dark forces that gathered them. Then I noticed five others running towards the guest room. I tried to speak but since Lucien and his betas were busy, it was up to me to stop them from getting close. Quickly, I ran towards them at full speed. Once I was close enough to one, I clawed his back
