"Seriously?" I muttered in disbelief as I eyed a score of Rogue werewolves glaring at me.

"You guys are going to attack me, a fellow rogue." I growled as I shifted my focus to Rose. On a normal circumstance, I could take down ten of them. But this time was different, I was outnumbered and the only way to escape this shit hole was to use Rose as an hostage.

I'm sure they wouldn't want to see one of their own being threatened. I was still reveling in my sinister plans when I heard a voice chorus metres away.

"Hold your horses guys, I asked you all to welcome him not scare him." The overly familiar voice chuckled. His dark hair were styled in a neat low cut fashion. His ebony skin shone

**********"Kevin, Kevin! Keeevin." My Father called as he roamed about the Pack house garden. I giggled sheepishly before walking behind his towering figure in the stealthiest manner possible."Kevin you can come out now!" He chuckled."Gotcha!" I jumped at his leg while he laughed. "I win again!""I knew you were behind my back." He laughed as he lifted me from his legs. Holding me in his arm as he teased my nose playfully."No you didn't!" I whined."Yeah I didn't." We both laughed this time."Boys, get inside now before breakfast turns cold!" My mother's pitch could be heard from our

And after a joyous inauguration ceremony, so many drinks and cigarettes, listening to sad stories of my Pack members I barely knew. I finally get to return home. The entrance door creaked open even though I tried to enter in the quietest mannerism possible. But then I froze, seeing my mother in front of me. Frowning with her arms crossed."Where were you all day?" She pitched worriedly. I rolled my eyes whilst a sigh followed suit as I locked the door behind me."Went out." I replied as I wobbled towards the kitchen."This is past eleven!" My mother raised her voice. Turning me to face her concerned countenance."Mom, I'm n

"We haven't found Kevin yet, Alpha Jason." I heard Beta Chris mumble as I strode down the stairs. "Although we've hunted most of his Rogues down."My palms curled as I furiously eyed my Father and Beta Chris sitting on opposite couches. They barely even noticed me, engulfed in their conversation. I wished my Father had sent me along the other warriors so I could end that bastard once and for all. There was some connection between Kevin and Claire. The first time she had visited his raggedly home, I thought it was nothing. But then it became consistent and just yesterday, she tried to convince my Father from killing him. Ever since, she had been in so much unrest. As if Kevin was the only thing boggling her mind. Someone she hasn't even met! There was only one logical explanation, Kevin is the Lycan's daughter mate. My teeth gnashed against each other at that t

"Kevin this is suicide.""You're not helping Gabriel.""Oh so you expect me to encourage you towards death?" Gabriel retorted sarcastically. Although my gaze was purely fixated at the trees of Greenville that danced afar off under this starry njght, I knew my friend's face wouldn't be welcoming."We've gone over this already, this is the fastest and best way." I chattered as we walked closer to the edge of the cliff. My ears entertaining the movement of river against rocks."Remind me again, what are you gonna do when you find the Alpha?""Challenge him of course." I remarked nonchalantly as my eyes darted to the river below us. One, I could tell it was deep. Two, I kne

CLAIREHere I was, seated by my desk. Under the dim lights, in my room. Staring at my laptop which displayed a blank page. I don't even know why I was here when I was supposed to be celebrating with the others outside. Rather than brood in my bedroom. Realization soon struck me that I was worried. Worried about my probability mate. A Rogue. With all certainty, I knew I wasn't going to like him but Aubrey longed for him. Disturbing me with her sad emotions. In life, everything happens for a reason. But this time, I couldn't help but question the moon goddess. Why would she bestow this kind of fate? I'm the Lycan's daughter, from a respectable family yet mated to a Rogue. A stain to my family's prestige. I wondered how my Father was going to react upon this news. I feared what would happen to me if we met. That perhaps due to the mate bond, I might grow those sparky feelings for him. One I dread to

"You Bastard!" Jerry growled in front of me. His chest towering up and down, his gaze ferocious like he was ready to kill his prey. But here I was, clutching to the reins of my luggage facing him with a blank expression. Thinking about my Mother's heart wrenching words."You Rogue, you think you can just kill my Father and I'll be quiet!" He barked again, this time drawing the attention of few Pack Members close by. "You're not my Alpha and never will be! I challenge you, Kevin. I challenge you to a duel to death!"My teeth gritted as my grip tightened. Assuming I wasn't so weak, I wouldn't allow my ears entertain the nonsense he was vomiting. I inched closer to him, his eyes twitched and his lips parted slightly. He was obviously trying to retain his intimidating counte

Mates are supposed to be loving and caring. They are supposed to be your perfect life partner but my mate is a dark, empty, raggedly looking Alpha consumed in his own rage. Yes they aren't perfect nor was I looking for a perfect Prince charming but Kevin was far below these things. Well except his good looks of course. I massaged my chest with my right hand gently, hoping it would soothe the pain faintly blooming in my chest. It had started ever since I said those atrocious words to my mate."My mate is not going to be a smoker nor a ruffian. My mate is an Alpha, who is responsible, looks presentable and above all, has respect and discipline. So until you meet those requirements, you're just a Nobody to me." Aubrey was angry with me too. Disconnecting her spirit from mine while she brooded. I recalled the terror and hear

"How is he?" Walker toned sharply as the rickety door of Kevin's room creaked open. He jumped hastily from the couch and approached Kevin's mother in a blink. My eyes were already welled up in tears for the past one hour that I couldn't recognize Kevin's mother properly. I wiped them off and then I could see the redness in her eyes. Her face was overly depressed more than mine, she looked like she was going to collapse anytime soon."He's recuperating slowly." She muttered in a shaky voice while a tiny tear trickled off her left eye. Hearing those words alone, weakened my muscles further but I still approached them regardless."But he's a werewolf, his wounds should have healed up by now." Walker responded

The tweeting of birds, a familiar honey scent and the comfort of a bed slowly brought me back to life. My eyes faintly opened to a room illuminated by the sun rays coming from the window above me. The bed was different. It was larger than mine and the bed sheets were a spotless design of velvet green. It was exactly in sync with the colour of the large room. A spotless shade of green. I didn't know this room yet it felt so welcoming and peaceful. Series of sparks emanated from my bare chest and spiralled across the rest of my body. It forced me to look down and there I saw her pretty fingers. Laying peacefully on my tattoo. My eyes briskly darted to my side, and there she was, my beautiful mate staring at me deeply. I turned towards her and my hand wrapped across her bare waist. I didn't care as to how we were naked or how I arrived here, in her room. All I cared for was her. She was safe and so was I. Even though she didn't w

I had a dream, that I lived a beautiful life. I was in Greenville Pack House gardens with Claire by my side. Both of us laughing for joy while our twins played around. Olivia was busy playing with her dolls alongside my mother while Oliver, took joy in pulling Gabriel's low cut hair. Gabriel would scream but also laughed at my son's playfulness. Rose was happy and so was Aunty Flora. And Uncle Walker, being our caring father. We were happy but unfortunately this dream came to an end. Here I was in my tattered clothes soaked in oil, hung on a stick to be burnt alive in front of the crowds yelling curse words at me."Burn him!""Behead him!""Bury him alive!""Cut him into pieces!!" Many of them chanted and amidst this hurling crowds, I found many Alphas, all standing in silence and waiting for that moment to come. The time where my body will be ashes. My eyes found, the monster. Blake, standing only inches away

"Kevin is going to be the new Lycan.""Father, I implore you to rethink your decision." I had said while he turned to me, his predatory look already replaced with care and admiration. "Kevin never wanted to be Alpha let alone be Lycan. I'm not sure he's the right --""He is the Wolf of Justice, Claire. The moon goddess chose him for a reason and this is it." He pursed his lips."Are you doing this out of guilt or pity or because he his simply the Wolf of Justice and nothing more to you?" I asked while my Father heaved a sigh as he joined me back on the bedside."If it were out of guilt, I would have given him wealth, power and any other thing he desires. I'm not making Kevin the new Lycan because of guilt nor because he's a special Wolf." He paused as his gaze returned to my mother's portrait. He carried a smile I couldn't quite depict but I knew he was in deep thoughts. Thinking of the right words."Ever since your mother's death, I al

Pain. Surprisingly, it didn't come from my long open injuries laced across my body or the fact that I was hung upside down, in a dark cave bound in silver chains while wolfsbane coursed throughout my body like blood. It was tiny yet so hefty, ripping and merciless. It birthed from only one thing. My dear mate who rejected me, who casted me into death hands without second thoughts. How could I blame her, after all, she had lost someone so dear. Perhaps this was my Karma for all my deeds. In a strange way, I began to think about my parents. The same way my mother failed to fight for her mate was reliving itself again. I was sharing this same cursed fate. Was I even sharing the same fate with him? My Father chose to die even when he knew the truth or perhaps he didn't. But I, I was going to die even when I knew the truth. A truth that no one would believe. I smiled to myself. At least if the moon goddess had dest

"On the twelfth of this month," were the beginning words of an elder as he climbed the podium of Moonsville Supreme Court. And there was my mate, by the right of the podium. Bounded in silver chains with dried blood from his injuries. His clothes were tattered and dirty. His head were bowed to the ground as his arms went above his head from the chains holding him. His knees stood against the rough concrete floor and his messy hair overshadowed his face so one couldn't look closely. But I knew, from the mate bond. He didn't care. He was neither furious nor in pain. He was just silent. Silent ever since he had been arrested."Kevin Manchester, Alpha of Greenville, killed the Lycan." The old man continued on a solemn note. "To achieve this atrocious crime of his, he compelled the boundaries guards with his powers and even the guards at the Pack House." He paused his lips as he glanced at barely conscious Kevin. It wasn't with hatred but compassion."The cour

"How is he?" I asked Gabriel in a worriedly fashion as we Skype on my laptop. He sighed first and his countenance wasn't helping either."Bad." He muttered, his disappointments evidently blaring in his tone. "Very bad, Claire. Kevin has returned to his former self. He's getting worse day by day." I gulped down my saliva trying to hold back my worries from showing. But I failed horribly at it. I could feel it in our mate bond. Kevin was in so much pain."You have to come to Greenville." His words tousled my thoughts. And in his eyes, they pleaded for me to yield. "He misses you."My lips parted but only for air to escape. I was waiting for the right word. "I'm not sure he's ready to see me nor am I sure, I'm ready to see him either. He's in so much pain and he's still dealing with the ugly truth behind his father's death. And I," I pursed my lips as my eyes lowered to the keyboard. "I'm still dealing with mine

"Good Morning, my love." My eyes slowly opened to Claire's beautiful face inches away from mine. I frowned while she smiled, her hand softly grazing my bearded cheek."This is not real." I mumbled but she inched closer, crossing her leg around my waist. Tears started to grace my eyes again and her smile gradually vanished."What's wrong?" She whispered but I kept on staring at her with teary eyes. This wasn't real, none of it."Why do you keep punishing me? You and I both know this is a dream. I don't want to see you Claire, yet you appear to me every morning." I mumbled after minutes of hesitation. She wore an endearing smile, running her fingers through my long mess hair."I'm not punishing you." She said. "You and I both know, a part of you wants to see me. You crave me Kevin and that's why your subconsciousness is doing this." She added. "This beautiful morning, this room, us, this is what you want. Yet you keep denying it.""I can't have you."

"I am that young boy who transformed into a wolf the moment he watched his Father die from your blades!""Stay back!" His right hand man ordered but instead, my eyes morphed into a threatening sparkling red. Claws extended from my fingers."Guards!" His left hand man roared, he had sheer resemblance with the Lycan. Enough to inform me this was Blake. The doors flew open and immediately, Guards encircled about me, flashing their golden yellow. But I cared less, I wasn't e

I was donning a dull green bomber Jacket on a dark blue T shirt and jeans complemented with black Chelsea boots. And Claire on the other hand, chose to wear a green off shoulder top complemented with a pair of black fitted jeans and matching heels. I glanced at Gabriel, Rose and my commanders in a worriedly fashion while they retained their proud smiley faces. Even though I was leaving for two days, It felt like two months to me."I know that look, Kevin." Gabriel's voice tousled my thoughts. "We'll be fine, we're not kids anymore and it's not like you both will be gone for long." He assured but I heaved a sigh, trying to feign a smile."We can handle t
