"I don't know what you're planning, Aiden. But your plan will never work. I will never let you shift before anyone. Your useless wolf will die within you."

It had been hours since Jared left the dungeons but I still had not been able to get this particular statement of his out of my mind. I knew I should not be paying any attention to Jared or his words since he was only a bastard who had no good thing to say.

However, I could not stop myself from thinking about what he had said. There had been something about the way he had spoken that afternoon that made me deep in thought.

A wolf?

What wolf was he talking about? Was he just making stuff up to rile and ridicule me? Jared of all people should know I didn't have a wolf, for he had done nothing but bug and insult me all these years.

"Oh please, I know you aren't wolfless."
