I took deep breathes as my father spoke. Despite the lengths I’ve gone to calm my mate down about what was about to happen, the truth was far from what I told him. Were the chances extremely slim that Lana and Quai would die before they had a child? Yes. Were they just as slim they would die before that child turned 18? also yes. That being said, we were werewolves. And our duty didn’t end when they had their first child. That child would be the crown princes or princess, but Goddess forbid something happened to them before that child was 18, we would be the next in line to take the thrown until they were of age.
