Meeting with a stranger

Oliver knew why she was upset. Immediately Connor left and she stormed into her room, he knew the thought of calling her uncle would occur to her so he had to make the call first.

He had called him to inform him of the situation and to also tell him to discontinue paying her tuition. He hoped that soon she would be able to forget all these and forgive him.

Carolina dragged her small box out of her room into the living area after having her bath. Her eyes met with her father's where he sat at the dining table, however she ignored him.

"Caro." Her father called her.

She stopped in her tracks while waiting for him to speak.

"Won't you have breakfast?" He offered.

"I don't think that's a good idea, if I eat up all the food left in the house, you might starve and die of hunger." She said sarcastically.

Oliver had expected this when he signed her off. It was the best option for him. If he lost the house, he had lost everything and he would have to start all over. Someday she would understand.

"I have something to say before you leave." He told her.

"I'm listening." She folded her arms.

"This situation is in your favor if you choose to look at it from my point of view." He said.

Carolina furrowed her brows at him. What was he saying?

"You could use it to your advantage. Since you would be living with him, it should be very easy for him to fall in love with you if you play your game well."

Carolina looked horrified. Did her father have no shame? He had sold her off and was even plotting schemes for her.

"From the way I see it, he likes you very much. You could even get more money from him. He is a very rich man. Wrapping the Alpha around your finger would be easy for you and you would realize that…"

"Enough!" She screeched.

"You deserve an award for making a foolish statement." She uttered disrespectfully.

Oliver's eyes widened.

Carolina could not believe that this was her father. After what he had done, he could still speak.

"I am disappointed in you. You can continue with your life as you want. I would no longer interfere. Gamble all you own and drown yourself in more bottles of beer. I don't care anymore."

"Now you no longer have anything to use as collateral, I wonder what you would use next. Well that is one of my business, is it? I have washed my hands off you." She shrugged.

"I can't believe I once called you father. You are the worst father on earth and from this day onwards, you cease being my father." She said with a tone of finality.

"Don't ever call me or bother texting me because I won't reply. "

A car honked outside the house interrupting her next sentence. She knew what it was even though she darted her eyes to the wall clock.

It was 9:00 a.m. on the dot and Connor's car had come for her. It was time for her to start a new life. She dragged her suitcase out of the house.

Alpha Connor rested back in his chair and released a sigh. The driver had just informed him that they were on their way home. He felt peace after a long time.

On the day he found out that Oliver Alexander was Carolina's father, he knew that he had to call off his relationship with Liliana.

As a tradition, he was betrothed to her as a toddler. Their wedding was in two weeks but he didn't want to go through with it. He didn't feel a mate connection with her and all along he had been trying to force it.

Staring into her green orbs across their living area, he felt something stir in him. Again. That was all he needed to make her his Luna.

It had been a big relief when Oliver had run into a big debt at his casino. He contacted his men immediately and instructed them to run a background check on him.

That was when they found out that he had a daughter. His first love. Immediately he called off the relationship with Liliana and made plans to make Carolina his.

"We are here." The driver informed her.

Carolina gaped at the large beautiful compound. There was a water fountain sitting elegantly in the center. A garden of flowers arrayed the lawn.

To her left was a garage. She didn't need to be told that it would be filled with many cars.

"Ma'am." The driver interrupted her wandering thoughts.

"I'm sorry." She apologized and stepped out of the car.

She bent to carry her bag, but he stopped her.

"Don't worry, a maid will come to get this soon." He motioned for her to move into the house.

Although she was not used to this preferential treatment, she nodded and traipsed towards the house. The front door swung open almost immediately and a middle-aged woman strolled out of the house with a smile on her face.

"Welcome." She greeted Caro.

"Thank you."

Carolina exhaled as she stepped into the house which had now become hers. Would she ever get used to this type of life? It was above her standard.

She padded through the entryway into the big spacious well-furnished living area when she heard another car drive into the compound.

She sighed and plopped on one of the cream sofas. Would he not allow her to even rest before he came? She wished her bags were already inside and she had been shown to her room.

It would be easy to ignore him while she pretended to fall asleep.

"Where is she? Where is that bitch?" A female voice shouted atop her lungs outside.

Carolina's eyes fluttered open in confusion as she glanced at the entryway wondering who that was.

It certainly wasn't Connor.
