Lies all around

Mirabel was thrown outside the mansion gate, before she could stand and rush back to enter the gate, it was banged straight in her face.

Mirabel felt utterly embarrassed by how she was treated by Connor's guards. Her heart was filled with anger and grief. She dusted her clothes and began to make her way back to the basement where Liliana had taken her after they captured her.

Mirabel drove for a long while and finally got to her destination, she parked her car very far from where she would be going, just like Liliana had ordered. She made sure to look around her vicinity to be sure no one was watching her before proceeding to enter the shabby-looking uncompleted building, surrounded by bushes and located in a place far away from residential areas.

Mirabel bent her head so that her hair wouldn't get trapped in the huge spider webs hanging on the ceilings of the building. Her face was scrunched in distaste and she was utterly disgusted by the sight of the building's interior.
