My teeth grinded together so hard I thought they'd break off my jaw. "What the fuck do you mean, 'it's under control?'" I snapped.

"She's safe. I'm with her."

I had walked the entirety of the building, raided the women's bathroom, and scoured the premises. My angel wasn't here. I would've found her by now. It didn't miss my notice that Nuel was gone. I knew instantly their disappearances were related.

Now that he was confirming that, blood lust filled my vision. I stomped over to the valet and snarled at the same boy who'd touched Caroline just hours prior. I wanted to jam my fist into his throat and rip out his vertebrae.

"And where the fuck are you?" I growled at Nuel through the phone.

"You know I'd never willingly defy you, boss," he said. "She's upset. She wanted to get away from you, and I could hardly talk her into getting in the car. I'll bring her back to the mansion when she's done."
