CHAPTER 98 - The Punishment
Clayton, with his mind still groggy and his entire body aching all over, sat up on his bed, looking around his room, totally disoriented. He stared through the window and saw the sun already high up and when he checked his clock, he was shocked to see that it’s already nine in the morning.
Bracing himself on the bed, he got up and immediately crashed on the floor, hitting the side table hardly and making the lamp, alarm clock and a picture frame of him and Amarah crashed down the floor.
Footsteps could be heard running from outside his room and his door burst open. Hands then were gripping his arms as he is being hoisted back up on the bed.
“Shit,” he muttered, holding his head. “Get me something for my head!”
