Clayton looked up from the report that he is reading after his mother had linked him that she is on her way to see him that Wednesday morning. He stood up when the knob of the door turned and smiled when Mrs. Langston finally came in.

“Hello, mom,” he greeted as he gave her a quick hug and a kiss on her forehead. “It’s good to know that you’re coming up here from time to time. I’m sure everyone is glad to see you here. Is dad with you?”

“He’s at home,” Mrs. Langston answered as she pulled away and went to the couch and sat down. “Don’t worry about him. Matt just checked on him and he is doing fine. He had your dad drink some freshly squeezed Sacred Root every morning for his heart. Other than that, he is feeling better.”

“That’s good to know,” he said in relief as he sat on the opposite couch, in front of her. “I should have not told him about that new vision Sa

She clenched her fists tightly, pondering if she should open it now or just forget about it.“What is this?” She asked. The moment she entered the house after coming from Alpha Jack’s daughter christening early in the afternoon, Clayton was already waiting for her in the living room. The case is sitting on the center table in front of him. He asked her to sit down after letting her freshen up.“It’s from my grandmother,” Clayton finally answered her calmly. He picked up the box and gently placed it on her lap. “When I was at the Lycan Capital doing some research at the archives, King Atticus came, and we talked.”“We actually talked about your family most specifically your uncle,” he continued gently. “During that conversation, I found out that it was my grandmother who had made the prophecy and

Just as you assured me about the foresight that I made. Whatever happens, it’s never going to be my fault. But not this time. This time I’m not going to let you tell me that this is not my fault because it is. Because of me, your uncle, Alpha Dimitri banished you from your prestigious pack because he won’t let you hang up your sword. It is also because of me that you cannot be with your family anymore. And now, because o

I am giving it to you. Consider it as a belated birthday gift from me for all your birthdays that I missed.”“But Catherine said in her letter -,” she started to answer but her uncle cut her off.“I don’t want to hear it, Amarah,&rdq

Several patrollers also assisted especially the elders who might need some assistance.“I have to get you out of here,” Clayton said to her firmly. He turned towards the crowd, looking for someone before he turned back to Amarah. “I’m not going to let them get to you, alright? I’m not going to allow it.”“I’ll take care of her, Clayton,” her mother suddenly piped up. Her sister, Arianna also nodded in assurance. She also saw Constance, giving instructions to Eloise as they unfolded additional beds while Matt and Lily are doing some makeshift curtain partitions. The Gamma warriors also assisted them, making the preparation much faster.Amarah suddenly turned when she heard a long and loud howl from outside. She gripped the boxes of syringe she had taken and then turned to the other direction when ferocious growls and yowls of pain could be heard. She shook her head, stopping the distraction she is experiencing and went back to her task.“Amarah, you need to stop,” her mother said calmly behind her as Amarah placed both hands on her head and continued to think of things that she needs to prepare. She carefully lifted the table tray and walked towards him and placed it carefully over his legs and sat beside him. She took a slice and bite on it, chewing slowly for a while. “But I promise to eat well now that I know you’re going to be okay.”He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and kissed her side of the head.“Mom already linked with Ella,” he commented calmly. “Once I get discharge here later a

Three years later… Clayton watched anxiously as Amarah breathed in and out as she is clutching his hand tightly on a very early Thursday morning in their room, at his house. He watched as she closed her eyes and tried to control the pain that she is going through right now. “Oh, God, that’s worst,” Amarah finally stated. “You also said the last one was worst,” Clayton countered as he wiped the beads of perspiration on her forehead. “Are you just trying to pacify me? It’s not working, I’m telling you that.” “You’re the one who put this on me,” Amarah teased him with a smile. Clayton stared at her dumbfoundedly. “Amarah, if I knew that I will be going through this as well, I would have waited a little bit more before putting that child in you,” he argued lightly. “I am not ready to go through this process.” That earned a laugh from Matt, who is sitting on one side of the room and patiently monitoring Amarah’s condition. Clayton gave him a good glare. He turned back to his wife, w

She smiled sadly. “I could have done more,” she answered softly. “But I guess I overexerted myself that

Gabriel, with his hands inside the pockets of his jacket stared down quietly and intently at Catherine’s tomb. His eyes wandered towards the words written on her white, marble epitaph and he gripped his fists tightly. “Life is not Forever. But LOVE is.” He glanced up a bit when he heard a howl in the air, signifying the end of the mourning period. For Amarah. Instead of the tradition’s usual five days of mourning, King Atticus had decreed that the observation of mourning for Amarah will be extended for two more days. This is because of the influx of wolves from all over the kingdom that wanted to pay their last respects to the Saville woman, who had unselfishly given her all to treat those who needed her help. And it has been seven days as well that Gabriel has been visiting his mate’s tomb and would just stand there for hours without saying anything. Gabriel heard some rustling behind and he raised his head up and waited. “Everyone’s starting to gather at the grounds,” Conrad i

She rushed out the office she occupied to rest for a while, her heart pounding.“What’s happening?!” She demanded loudly as she saw the wolves in the center that are strong enough to check, crowding towards the entrance of the building. Please don’t tell me it’s him!”When she finally made her way at front, she saw Matt together with Mr. and Mrs. Langston, several steps outside and looking towards one direction, his face grim.
