“How many have recovered?”

Clayton looked at his Beta grimly with his blood-shot eyes, tired and heavy from the border patrol that he has been dedicated in doing to protect his pack. Ever since he received news from his patrollers of threats from rouges, he had been so adamant in guarding the safety of his pack.

It’s been more than three weeks since the threat to his territory had started. Clayton suspected that his brother might somehow had been behind these threats by allying the pack he had entered with other rogue packs. Apparently, hearing him survived that attack made him alternate his plans.

Conrad is still set in overtaking the pack and take his place as the rightful alpha.

“Most of them already did,” Liam assured as he looked at his friend carefully. “You look like shit, Clayton. Are you getting enough rest? Look, for the past five years, our pack has gotten stronger, and most had started fearing us. You made t

Amarah looked up from the patient’s record at the small office behind the reception counter, that she is encoding when she heard the bell, installed above on their main door, dinging on a Wednesday morning. Before getting up to check, she groaned inwardly when she heard no trace of Tracy greeting the customer formally.“You’re really proving that you’re a saint, Arah,” she muttered as she placed down her pen and stood up. She patted down her soft and plain blue dress with a boat neckline to get rid of any wrinkles before checking to see who entered. “She ditched you once again to be with that new guy she’s obsessed about.”She stopped dead on her tracks when she saw the person at the other side of the counter.“Dad!”Amarah could feel tears at the back of her eyes as she quickly walked around the counter and threw her arms around her father’s neck and hugged him tightly.Gavin Savill

Clayton rubbed his eyes before opening them as the early morning rays of the sun went through the window the following day. He stared at the clock beside him and saw it read six thirty. He turned to his side and saw Erika, still sleeping comfortably beside him, her one arm draped across his flat stomach. He carefully took her arm off and sat up, leaning on the headboard quietly. He looked down at the woman who gave him some pleasure last night, no matter how good she was, she had never made him forget the woman with crystal clear, blue eyes that has been haunting him for the past weeks. Erika was on her knees, wearing a loose shirt, looking up at him seductively as she pleasured him with her mouth, one hand holding his while the other is loosely wrapped around his knee. Her head bobbed up and down as she continues heightening his pleasure. Clayton, sitting by the edge of her bed, brushed some hair off her face and watched her with hooded eyes. With his hands

“Let me get this straight, Lily,” Clayton commented calmly, an hour after when he arrived at the pack house to meet with her and Liam. “It’s either the wolf less child spoken in the prophecy is going to be sixty-one this year or twenty-one years old, right?” “Yes. According to the elders that I spoke to, the wolf less child has already been born,” Lily answered calmly as she looked down at her notes. “If we used the reference of the prophecy, the last years where there was a full moon on the sixteenth of July was the year of 1941 and 2000. My instinct is making me lean towards the twenty-one-year-old. Because of the few excerpts I got on the second part!” “Born under a full red moon, you will be hard to mark,” she continued softly. “For you shall choose the one for your heart.” “So?” Liam questioned. “Ugh! You, guys are so dense!” She complained, rolling her eyes. “Clayton, this wolf less person was born on the sixteenth of July at the year of the Blo

Amarah made sure that she had securely locked the door to her apartment before heading towards the stairs to go down, early the following day. She looked towards Matt’s apartment unit and silently guessed that he must still be asleep, considering he had taken a double shift since Jacklyn had not come back yet.She went down the stairs carefully and pushed the glass door open, stepping out into the sidewalk and looked around her surroundings, where her neighbors are also starting on their day.“Good morning, Mr. Monroe!” She greeted with a wave at their cranky-old neighbor, Monroe Williams, who lives right across the street from their building, getting his paper from the mail. “It’s nice to see you here again!”“Get on with your day, lady,” Monroe grumbled, slamming his mailbox shut.Amarah smiled, shaking her head at his early crankiness. She looked at her watch and saw that she has more than an hour

Her father’s name is Gavin Saville,” she said. She took something from her purse and produced a set of keys, handing them to him. “Here are your keys, Mr. Langston. The members, the few numbers left, he had taken care of for the past fifty years and will eventually passed on the responsibility to his son, Nicholas.A somber smile appeared on his face at the thought of his son. Nicholas, who eventually will inherit the long-time predicament that the Saville family has been facing ever since his great-uncle Dimitri Saville incurred the wrath of the Moon Goddess.Because of Dimitri’s obsession that pack members with no wolves should be banished or become slaves, regardless of the status of the family, he had received the end of backlash and anger from other packs in the wolf-dom. Even the Lycan royal family, where they are related by marriage bonds had distanced themselves after that pro

The sky above is dark, almost pitch black due to the absence of the stars and moon as Amarah walked towards her home after closing the clinic. She could barely see the flicker of the lights from the lamp posts ahead of her due to the thick fog that is surrounding her.Clutching the umbrella, she had brought with her since she thought it will rain, she kept it ready as a weapon in case something will happen to her.“You should have called Matt to fetch you,” she scolded herself as she crossed the road hurriedly. However, the moment, she stepped on the sidewalk, everything around her had immediately vanish and only darkness could be seen surrounding her. She stood cold, clutching her umbrella tightly as she looked around her.“Hello?” She called out, her voice cracking.Amarah didn’t hear any respond. Clayton stood by the sidewalk outside the clinic and watched as Amarah unlocked the door to enter and turned over the open sign. He gave her an assured smile when she looked a little bit anxious. “I’ll come back after the meeting, and we can have lunch.”She nodded.“Amarah?” Clayton called out and waited for her to look at him directly. “Just so you know, in any case y

Three years later… Clayton watched anxiously as Amarah breathed in and out as she is clutching his hand tightly on a very early Thursday morning in their room, at his house. He watched as she closed her eyes and tried to control the pain that she is going through right now. “Oh, God, that’s worst,” Amarah finally stated. “You also said the last one was worst,” Clayton countered as he wiped the beads of perspiration on her forehead. “Are you just trying to pacify me? It’s not working, I’m telling you that.” “You’re the one who put this on me,” Amarah teased him with a smile. Clayton stared at her dumbfoundedly. “Amarah, if I knew that I will be going through this as well, I would have waited a little bit more before putting that child in you,” he argued lightly. “I am not ready to go through this process.” That earned a laugh from Matt, who is sitting on one side of the room and patiently monitoring Amarah’s condition. Clayton gave him a good glare. He turned back to his wife, w

She smiled sadly. “I could have done more,” she answered softly. “But I guess I overexerted myself that

Clayton with thick tears in his eyes stood, clenching his fists tightly and watched as the fire slowly crawled up and make its way to Amarah, immediately surrounding her body. He breathed out heavily and felt his mother’s hand on his back, gently comforting him.I love you, my Amarah, he thought in his mind intently.Slowly, as if his own feet have their own brain, he took steps towards the platform until he is only a few feet away. His mother followed behind him and stayed behind his back as the heat being emitted from the fire increases. As the fire started to crawl over her body, he felt a strong gust of wind blowing at them. His mother hugged his arm and buried her face in his back until it subsided. He turned to make sure that she is okay before looking back at the fire.Another gust of wind strongly passed by and it passed directly through the fire.“What the heck -?!” He heard Gabriel from behind exclaimed. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, a strong and blinding light shot down

Gabriel, with his hands inside the pockets of his jacket stared down quietly and intently at Catherine’s tomb. His eyes wandered towards the words written on her white, marble epitaph and he gripped his fists tightly. “Life is not Forever. But LOVE is.” He glanced up a bit when he heard a howl in the air, signifying the end of the mourning period. For Amarah. Instead of the tradition’s usual five days of mourning, King Atticus had decreed that the observation of mourning for Amarah will be extended for two more days. This is because of the influx of wolves from all over the kingdom that wanted to pay their last respects to the Saville woman, who had unselfishly given her all to treat those who needed her help. And it has been seven days as well that Gabriel has been visiting his mate’s tomb and would just stand there for hours without saying anything. Gabriel heard some rustling behind and he raised his head up and waited. “Everyone’s starting to gather at the grounds,” Conrad i

If they’re still alive, they will immediately eliminate them.”“Their actions just showed the cowardice in them,” Clayton barked angrily. He turned to his left and looked down at Conrad, leaning on a tree and panting heavily as Bradley and Jacob are tying up a clothing around his stomach. “We need to get you back home.”“I’m alright,” Conrad assured him as he finally stood up. She rushed out the office she occupied to rest for a while, her heart pounding.“What’s happening?!” She demanded loudly as she saw the wolves in the center that are strong enough to check, crowding towards the entrance of the building. She pushed her way in the crowd, her eyes straining to see what they are all looking at. “What’s going out there? Is it Clayton? Please don’t tell me it’s him!”When she finally made her way at front, she saw Matt together with Mr. and Mrs. Langston, several steps outside and looking towards one direction, his face grim.
