The Oracle's Visit And Revelation

Twenty-five Minutes Before The Attack

Everyone was busy having their lunch happily as Theo would crack jokes with his tiny voice from time to time, making them laugh.

“Oh, here comes the old woman!” Theo exclaimed as all eyes turned to the entrance as the Pack Oracle made her entrance.

“Little Alpha, how many times do I have to tell you that my name is…" The Oracle's words were cut off immediately by Theo.

“Yeah, I know, I know… Your name is Grandma Anastasia.” Theo said happily as he clapped his hands together.

The rest burst into loud laughter. Theo is indeed one of the best gifts the moon goddess gave Snow-White Moon pack. With him around, everyone's moods will always be light.

“Oracle, please have a seat.” Luna Crystal called for her to have a seat, which the Oracle gladly did.

Everyone peeked at each other. They were very much aware that the Pack Oracle doesn't come to the pack house unless she has an important message from the moon goddess.

The Oracle has her own little house built on the outskirts of the pack, near where the lake stream passes. She needed a quiet and secluded place for her meditations with the moon goddess.

“Why is everyone looking at each other in that way? Can't I come and have a meal with my pack members? Who knows, this might be our last meal together.”

Her words made Alpha Noah and his mate, Luna Crystal, shift in their seat. Her statement had a great meaning. But they will wait until she explains it.

The Oracle will never say something like that unless she knows something was about to happen.

“When I grow up, I will want a beautiful Luna, just like my mom.” Theo's voice suddenly broke the tension at the dining table.

“Sure you will, but who said your mate will have to be “SHE”? The Oracle asked as she pinched the little boy's nose.

“Huh? Why not she? She means a girl. My mom is called Luna because she is a girl. Are we not supposed to have girls as mates?”

Theo asked with his blue eyes sparkling. No one was actually shocked at his statement. They knew Theo is not just like any other kid. The little boy has a mindset of an adult.

“Not really, my boy, not every mate has to be a girl. A boy and a boy can also be mates. What matters is how they strengthen their mate bond.

They will have to care for and love each other more than most of the normal mates bound between a boy and a girl.” The Oracle took her time and explained it to the little boy, who still looked confused.

“But how can we have a baby like me if my mate is also a boy like me?”

Theo asked, and his question made everyone laugh. He looked at everyone without understanding why they were laughing.

“My child, in rare cases, some boys can also give birth. Remember, we are not hundred percent humans. We are half animal and half human. So, our reproduction system is quite different from other normal humans. In all, a boy can also give birth in rare cases.”

The Oracle continued explaining to the little boy, who was busy stuffing his mouth with food. It seemed he didn't even care about the explanation the old woman was giving him.

The rest continued with their lunch, but the Alpha and his Luna, together with their Beta Michael and Gamma Jason, were not convinced about the Oracle's visit.

“Listen to me, little Alpha…” The Oracle said and made Theo sit on her lap so that he could listen attentively to what she was about to tell him.

“What is it, old grandma?” Theo asked her with his innocent blue eyes blinking several times.

The Oracle heaved a sigh before she spoke…

“My child, you always have to remember that, the moon goddess knows what she does, and has prepared a “Promise Mate” for you.

Your mate will stand by your side and fight his own kind alongside you. He will love and cherish you as if you are his life. He will heal your wounds with his love and care.

The future ahead of you is dangerous, my child, but always remember that with your “Promise Mate” beside you, both of you shall conquer your enemies.

I don't know if you will remember this when you grow up, but never let what will happen today ruin your life, child. You have a bigger responsibility ahead. But you can never accomplish it without your “Promise Mate." The Oracle spoke gently to Theo, who kept nodding his head as if he understood what the old woman was saying

Everyone became silent at the dining table and stared at Theo and the Oracle attentively.

Their instincts immediately told them something bad was about to happen that day. But they didn't know what exactly might happen. If it is war, then they will fight with their lives.

But what if it is not just any war but worse than that... Meaning their DOOM.

Not so long when one of the warriors entered with half of his skin burned.

“THE PACK IS UNDER ATTACK BY THE DRAGONS!” He shouted and immediately fell dead after his announcement.

“WHAT??”

Everyone gasped in shock as they stood up from their seat to face the danger.

"Who dares to attack our pack?” One of the warriors growled in anger.

"Yes! Who has the guts to attack our pack! Are they seaking for death?" Another one chimed in furiously.

“The Dragon King…” the oracle answered calmly, adding another shock to the people.

“What? What do you mean by that, Oracle? What would the dragon king want with our pack? Why would he attack our pack?” Beta Michael spat anxiously.

The Oracle didn't say anything but turned her head to face Alpha Naoh...
