Aurora and Caden sat at the table. Across from them were her parents. They had stern looks on their faces and Aurora immediately knew what it was about. It was obvious, the explosion was all over the news and it didn't take a genius to figure out who did it. It was said that nearly a hundred people died. There were some injured who made it out alive but mostly dead people.
She didn't feel bad for what she did. Maybe Caden felt bad because he wasn't one set out for this kind of life but he decided to join her and so that was what he gets.
"You know, doing this sort of thing isn't really going to stop them." her mother said.
"But it will slow them down." Aurora sat up. "You know, the weapons they stole were in that building."
"What?!" b
"Aurora!" a voice echoed through the hall. She looked up from her position and saw Caden and Chelly enter the locker room."You fight started, what happened..." Chelly's voice trailed off when he saw the scene."What happened?" he rushed towards her and bent down, gently touching her face."I had a bit of a situation." she laughed softly.Chelly looked at the girl who was cowering against the wall. He gave her a dirty look. "I'm going to call security.""No, no." Aurora held his arm. "It's ok. I have this under control."Caden crouched on her other side and he moved her face so tha
Caden looked at Aurora sleeping. Her swelling had gone down but it still looked bad. It would be funny if not for the fact that she got punched in her face. He had been trying with her, trying to understand her and where her thoughts come from. They spent alot of time together and he had come to do just that.He considered her a friend and he was glad that she considered him one too. Life was a little lonely and he was glad that she was in it. He was sure that he would be living in the house if it weren't for her parents. She had come to trust him but they couldn't. All Caden wanted was to take down Delta but they couldn't see that.He turned off her tv and headed back to the hotel. He had a nice view of the city as he was located on the top floor. Aurora went a little overboard and paid for his stay to be all-inclusive. He really only
Along with some other people, Caden and Aurora lay on top of a building overlooking the port. It was the day of the attack and it was around six in the morning. They were waiting for the attack to start. After her parents were told that the port was not their goal they made sure that the house and their warehouses in New York and Germany were all secure. They beefed up security and told Aurora that she was not allowed to leave the house. Of course, that didn't stop her from sneaking out with Caden. They were at some other point in the port and had a full view of the gates. Her parents were nearby but had no idea that she was there. They would of course through a fit when they figure out she was here. Aurora's mom was really stressed and very particular about her location. All she needed to do was help out of it came to that but try to s
When Aurora regained consciousness she was in a hotel room. Her immediate thought was that she was naked and would be chained to the bed but when she sat up and looked down, she saw that she was fully clothed and was not restrained in any way."Huh?"Aurora looked around and saw that the wall to her left was actually a large window and she had a view of New York. Ok, so at least she was still in the country. She didn't recognize the hotel from the room. It looked to be night time and there was a lamp on the table next to the bed that illuminated the room. There was only one bed and there was a tv in front of her. She saw a door to her right and assumed that it was the bathroom and then another one further down a little hallway and that had to be the exit. There was no one else in the r
The lobby was filled with people rushing out the doors. The guards tried to calm people down and stop them from running but it was no use. Aurora tried to duck as much as possible and blend in but as she was trying to run with the crowd she locked eyes with one of the receptionists. She was on the phone with someone and looked frazzles but when she saw Aurora she dropped the phone. Her eyes were wide and her mouth agape as she signaled the other staff before pointing at her. And now she had about ten people converging on her location.Distracted by the staff, she tripped over someone and tumbled down on the floor. Fortunately, there was this nice lady who helped Aurora up and then rushed out before her. She smiled at her and looked back and saw one of the receptionists pushing through the people to get to her. All of the guards were loo
Immediately Aurora snatched up the phone. She placed it to her ear and heard that it was on and working. Did they seriously forget to remove this? How buy must they be to forget such a crucial part when trying to keep someone kidnapped?"Guess it's my lucky day," she smiled but then she remembered that needed to know a number to call. "What's my mother's number again?"That was the one number she had to know by heart. She knew that one and... Carson's!"Carson, I know his number... but since he's in the UK then he probably does not use the phone anymore. Now that I think about it, I haven't even called him all this time. Oh, gosh, that's the first thing I need to do when I get out of here."Aurora went back to trying to remember her m
It took Aurora a moment to process what he had just said. She was taken from Delta... by another group? What? How did that even happen? "What are talking about? If you aren't Delta then who are you?" "We're just a smaller group that Delta had the nerve to try and take over. Poor choice for them. They told us that their real agenda was you. Foolish of them. And so we just took you from their hands." "Couldn't you have at least put me in a hotel? Delta wins in that department. They have class." Another one laughed. "Oh look at the Princess making demands. Well, guess what it does not work out that way. We're keeping you here until we get the money we want. And we aren't afraid to hand over some banged-up merchandise. So I suggest yo
He looked at her with these big eyes and pouty lips like was a puppy being abandoned. He had Aurora against his chest and since she was that close she could see all the bruises on his face. It looked like he had a slight black eye. His nose had some blood on it and his cheekbone was swollen."I didn't think ok," he murmured. "I really didn't mean to. If I had thought about it then I would have stayed with you.""Why'd you leave me then?""Because I saw one of my friends and well, I wanted to protect them. Make sure he was ok. It was a rough situation.""Yeah, it was. And that was why you were supposed to protect me. Not him."He hung his head. "I know, I know."
