Chapter 82 – The other houses

2024-10-29 19:42:56The truck with the girls was sent back to base where the girls would be checked over, showered, supplied clean clothes and put to bed in a dorm with female soldiers to watch over them.
Ryder and Emily were waiting when they got back to the ship. Ryder had a pack on his back and they jumped into the back seat. Hunter was still cradling Serene so there was plenty of room.
“Hi Serene,” said Ryder “I have some food and water for you to help with your recovery. My name is Ryder and this is Emily, she is gifted like you.”
Serene took the food and Hunter opened the bottle so she could drink. “Hi” she said shyly
“Thanks Ryder” said Hunter for both them both.
Jay gunned the engine and headed to the second house. By the time they got there Jackson’s team had cleared the house and the girls were waiting in a room.
