2024-10-29 19:42:56The solider ushered Rota from the building straight into the waiting truck. When Mia and Jay got in Rota had collapsed into the soldiers’ arms. Mia let her be. When they got back to the Military Base Jay asked the solider to take Rota back to the ship and ask for Shimel and Lacy, he left straight away, carefully supporting Rota. Jay took a moment to thank the unit and commander. There was a bit of laughter and everyone congratulated Mia her shot. “Just remember, Mia and me and Princess Rota weren’t there for now. I don’t care who takes credit for the shot but we weren’t there.” Jay said sternly. They all agreed.
As they headed back to the ship, they crossed paths with the solider who had taken Rota back.
“Is she ok?” Mia asked
“I think so, he said”
“Thank you for comforting her like that”
“That’s ok, it was the least I could do, after all it was her father.” H

The Elites began the Banquet and after they were announced Mia and Rota held hands while they walked out to take their seats, Jay was announced next and he followed. There were a few whispers as people took in Mia’s dress. They all stood before their seats until Rota had declared the Banquet to begin.
