Viktor POV I waited a few moments before pulling out of her and rolling over. My breaths were heavy as I stared at the ceiling.. and so we’re hers.During our.. intimate time, I felt the urge to mark her.. my gums tingled and burned as I leaned into her neck. I had to suck on her skin in hopes that it might satiate the urge.. but it only made it worse. I couldn’t mark her. So instead I bit her leg, which seemed to do the trick for me. I’ll have to remember to check on that. “Your voice sounds different,” I said. I didn’t mean it in a bad way. It was just now coming back, so I knew it would be different than before. I looked at her and she looked at me before nodding. “It’s still coming back.. so I’m sure within time it will adjust,” I said. I reached over and hooked my hand on her side, pulling and turning her towards me. She was now laying on her side facing me as I stared into her eyes. “Do you feel alright?” I asked. “Y..yes.” She said. Half of it came out as a breath but I d
Violette POV Master said today is the day my father is holding the banquet to find a wife. I haven’t seen him much this past week.. not since that night with him. But he was sure to stop by yesterday morning before he left. He didn’t say where he was going.. only that he would be gone for a few days. He put extra guards by my room and even has Sylvia staying with me for the time being. Lillian is also staying with me because Cedric left with Viktor. “I.. would li-ke.. to ba-the.” I said the words slowly. I’ve gotten better at speaking.. though every now and then my words cut out and it’s all breath. “I shall have them ready it for you,” Sylvia said with a smile. She opened the door and told Loren who was standing nearby. When she was done, she came back and sat in front of me. It didn’t take long before Loren began bringing in buckets of hot water. I was grateful to him.. to everyone who’d been so kind to me lately. When Loren stepped out once again.. I heard a familiar voice talk
Violette POV There was a knock on the door and I opened my mouth to try and speak. I was getting a little bit better at it, with time and practice it was becoming easy. “Co-me.. in,” I said. The door opened and there stood Viktor. “Did Beatrice tell you?” He asked. “A-bout.. my father?” I asked. He nodded his head. “Ye..yes,” I said softly. He let out a sigh. “May I speak with you.. alone?” He asked as he looked at me. I looked at Sylvia and she got up from the bed. Lillian had already joined Cedric for the day. “I’ll see you later, Princess.” Sylvia said as she walked passed Master, eyeing him carefully before continuing out of the room. “What was that all about?” He asked as he sat on the side of my bed. I sat down my book and shrugged my shoulders. “I.. don’t kn-ow.” I said. “Alright.. So, with your Father marrying Princess Amelia.. things have already begun to drastically change. With them as his ally.. they have double the numbers I do. An attack on them would be ign
Viktor POV Marry? It offended me greatly that she would even suggest that. I will never marry.. not as long as I have her.. Goddess. Why do I feel these things for her? It kills me daily to have to look at her and not be able to say the things I want.. afraid she would not feel the same. It angered me to hear that from her.. saddened me that she would even bring it up.It only made me believe for certain she didn’t feel the same. I’ve even attempted to make contact with a witch to help with my predicament.. The problem is.. witches are incredibly rare these days. I’ve had Cedric try to find one as well.. but neither of us has had any luck. If I find one.. they could help me locate her mate.. maybe even lift my curse so that I could claim her after I force him to reject her.. or kill him if he refuses. I left for a few days when I heard rumors of a witch.. it turned out that the witch was not actually a witch. But a fake. I was also planning to assassinate Violette’s Father.. but t
Violette POV I woke up to a mixture of Master’s scent and breakfast. I looked around to see him sitting on the chair across from my bed with a book in his hand and a tray of food next to him on the table. “Ma-ster?” I asked. He looked up from the book and sat it down. “You’re awake.” He said. “Ye-yes..” I replied. “I.. was hoping you’d like to enjoy breakfast with me.” He said. I couldn’t fight the sleepy smile that appeared on my face. “Break..fast?” I asked. “Yes. Your voice is getting better. It doesn’t cut out as much.” He said. This was odd.. he’s never done this before. Has he changed his mind about me and decided to kill me? Is this the calm before the storm? Goddess.. Violette. Why such dark thoughts? He doesn’t want you dead. You should know this by now. I sat and pulled the blanket off of me. I hadn’t realized the string between my breasts had untied in my sleep, until my gown slid down, showing my breasts completely. My face turned bright red as I pulled the gown
Violette POV “Why.. didn’t you j-just ask.. me earlier?” I asked. He had every opportunity, yet he didn’t bring it up at all. Was he.. nervous? No.. surely not. “I don’t know.. I probably should have.” He chuckled. “What ex-exactly are we doing?” I asked. “Umm.. to be truthful.. I hadn’t had that much planned out.” He said with a smile. “Are.. you serious?” I asked as I giggled. He shook his head. “I planned a few things. If you’re up for it.” He looked at me as if waiting for an answer.. but I was still so shocked that he would even do such a thing for me. “A yes would be lovely..” he laughed. It made me giggle. “Yes, of co-course.” I said. I leaned back and looked out of the carriage window. “May I sit next to you? It is a long ride.. maybe you could nap.” He said. I moved over and he crossed over and sat next to me. “It’s strange not smelling your scent.” He said. I cocked my eyebrow at him. “It’s not a bad scent.. in fact, I quite enjoy it.” He said. His eyes fell to m
Viktor POV I watched as she admired every little thing she came across.. she looked.. so beautiful. I could hardly keep my eyes from her. She absolutely shined in public. Smiling at everyone she came across.. sharing kind words. It’s weird to see her outside of the castle. I came across a handmade blue butterfly.. one that resembled her gown and the little pins in her hair and I didn’t even hesitate to buy it. I don’t know what’s gotten into me.. but after a good night's rest, waking up to her scent.. something just felt different. Thought, id been feeling different for a while now.. I keep feeling things change. I took Cedric’s advice as well. I’m showing her why I will not marry another.. showing her that she is mine. I watched from a few feet away as she stood talking to one of the vendors, a little old human lady about the items she had on sale. From afar I saw other men admiring her beauty, and as one stepped up to her.. I let out a growl and walked over to them. “Hello, pre
Viktor POV Enzo and Violette waited patiently for me standing by the water and looking out into the distance. I was ready to show her what I had planned next.. to see the look on her face. “Are you ready?” My voice made her turn around. “Y-yes.” She said softly. I reached for her hand and she grabbed mine. We walked to the carriage and I helped her in before climbing in behind her. I took my seat beside her and she smiled. “You se-em a bit diff-different.. today.” She said. “Ahh.. yes. I just had time to think.. and I figured you’d enjoy getting out.. after everything. If you haven’t noticed I’m quite fond of you.” I said. Her face turned a bright shade of pink and she looked away. “Don’t do that.. don’t look away. I enjoy seeing your face.” I said. I turned her head by resting my finger under her chin. “I’m.. sorry.” She whispered. “Don’t be. Now, the ride isn’t very long, so unfortunately I cannot pleasure you.. but I would like to get to know more about you.” I said. S
